Origin

On July 26th, 2024, musical artist BeatKing released his mixtape, Never Leave Houston On a Sunday.^[1] The third track on the album is titled "Scared" and features the repeated lyrics, "He's scared of this pussy." On September 6th, BeatKing released an official music video for the song, garnering over 144,000 views on YouTube^[2] in three months.

In early December 2024, the song became the subject of lip dubs on TikTok. It is unclear who started the trend, however, one of the earliest known examples was posted by TikToker^[3] @jadaashaee on December 4th, 2024, in which she dances to the song under the caption, "When you call his phone off that drank and he doesn't answer," garnering over 3.3 million views in a week.

The trend continued to go viral over the following days as a lip dub meme, in which users dance and lip sync to the song under captions framing something a person might do that suggests they are "scared" to interact with a woman.

For example, on December 7th, 2024, TikToker^[4] @0samabeenlaggin posted a video using the sound that gained over 1.8 million views in four days.

On December 8th, TikToker^[5] @lolatorresisswag posted a video following the trend captioned, "when i asked him to come over and he straight up just said no," garnering over 4.3 million views in three days.

On December 10th, 2024, TikToker^[6] @tobias2you posted a video following the trend captioned, "when my gay hb get his haircut and he giving 'come here' instead of sistaa," receiving over 3.5 million views in one day.
