About
Thank You… Chainsaw Man refers to a page from chapter 232 of the Chainsaw Man manga series, the final chapter, in which the character Asa thanks Denji (Chainsaw Man) after he saves her from losing her balance and tripping, with Denji showing confusion as to why she called him "Chainsaw Man." The page went viral after the chapter's March 24th, 2026, release, as people edited it to create parodies, which insert other popular characters into the scene and have someone call the protagonist of the given series by the name of their series. The format is similar to the Say That Again meme.
Origin
On March 24th, 2026, the final chapter of the manga series Chainsaw Man was released.[1] Near the end of the chapter, Asa trips and nearly falls to the ground, but Denji catches her. She says, "Th-thank you… Chainsaw Man." Denji, confused and surprised, responds, "Chainsaw man?" Asa explains, "Because um… you were fighting with a chainsaw." Denji says, "Oh yeah."
The scene received mixed reactions from fans, with some finding its meta humor corny.
The "Thank You Chainsaw Man" page became the subject of edits as an exploitable meme format over the following days, in which the characters are replaced with characters from other series.
One early example was posted by X[2] user @aratata46 on March 25th, replacing the subjects with My Hero Academia characters, garnering over 48,000 likes and 4,500 reposts in a day.

Say That Again
Say That Again is a reaction GIF and video of Fantastic Four character Reed Richards saying the line upon hearing The Thing say the word "fantastic" and coming up with the name "Fantastic Four." Starting in November 2023, the clip has been used as a punchline for phonetic puns, such as imagining famous people coming up with their ideas after hearing someone say similar-sounding words.
