There are now over 40 gym leaders across the Pokémon universe, some of which are genuinely challenging and gyms with entertaining gameplay mechanics. However, some of these can take the challenge too far, leading to a frustrating experience, and others can cross the boundary between innovative mechanics and something just annoying.
