I was watching it live.
Jeez…I think i was looking at porn. I didn't even know it was going on to be honest.

Didn't the Rosetta land on a soft spot on the comet?
Philae is a robotic lander that was attached on Rosetta.
What I know of the landing as of right now:
- Landed softer than expected
- Harpoons did not fire
- Currently investigating a possible bounce that occurred
Would have been around 5AM my time when it landed. Therefore I slept through the whole thing
I woke myself up early just to watch it. Sleep deprivation? Bleh!
Some people are calling it this generation's moon landing. Seems to me like this is only the start, though – hopefully I'll be around when they land an astronaut on a comet.

What a time to be alive. It's truly extraordinary that humans are able accomplish these kinds of things.
I wanted to watch it, but I completely forgot and was in the middle of a CS:GO match. The new competition came out and I got wrapped up playing it. lol.

They also say there was a third redundant thruster on top that failed to fire as well, so it looks like the screws on the feet were the only think that kept it bouncing back into space. lol.
I missed this event entirely, and I feel like shit because of it, since this is pretty amazing stuff.
'Tis a shame, though, that some people are disrespecting such a feat for either clickbait articles or for reasons unrelated to the events.
Playing Dota or fapping you tell me.
