So, I’m working on Carl is not in the house, with all it’s funny photos, but I still don’t really have a clue about it’s development itself. Does anybody know anything about it? It would be greatly appreciated.

It seems it comes from The Walking Dead, and criticizes the behavior of Carl, a character.

And about the spread… Probably the popularity of the show have helped in the spread of the catchphrase.
