#MetroGroomin is a hashtag that appeared online in early May 2024 amid the Metro Boomin grooming allegations after controversial tweets made by hip-hop producer Young Metro received attention following his creation of "BBL Drizzy" as a part of the wider Kendrick Lamar vs. Drake feud. The tweets, made around 2011 when Young Metro was around the age of 17, received significant virality for their content, including allusions to forced interactions with a minor. The one-day change in views between supporting Metro Boomin and taking part in his diss track challenge to attacking him became another example of a Milkshake Duck, with his former tweets coming back to change the perception of him.

Origin

On May 7th, 2024, after record producer Metro Boomin had created the "BBL Drizzy" beat and the contest alongside it, antis began to dig into his past interactions online and found several tweets that many claimed as proof that Metro Boomin was also guilty of similar allegations as Drake. Later that day, X user @ZachN_87^[1] uploaded a collection of screenshots from 2011 to 2014 made by Metro Boomin, captioning the post with "#MetroGroomin" and earning over 45,000 views in eight hours (shown below).

On May 7th, 2024, X user @certifiedjared^[2] uploaded a song created by @404mali_^[3] while saying that fans of Drake's have begun to do their own version of the "BBL Drizzy" challenge by creating their own beats and then using them to rap about Metro Boomin while showing old tweets of his, earning over 90,000 views in five hours (shown below).

Also on May 7th, the Twitch affiliate streamer Syner6y^[4] uploaded his reaction to seeing the trending topic and allegations that people brought up, claiming that Metro Boomin started to delete all of his old tweets after people took notice of them, earning over 145,000 views in five hours (shown below).
