Well, /b/ is already producing lots of images, and Dramatica already has a page(http://encyclopediadramatica.com/Fort_Hood).

Since this place is a little more calm than /b/, what do you folk think about deriving lulz from such an event?

My thoughts go out to the families of the dead. It was an unfortunate incident. There's nothing inherently funny about the situation. The setup is basically the same old recipe we've seen plenty of times before.

1. Take a recent event that most people would agree is unfortunate, tragic, or repulsive.
2. Make fun of the situation in the most offensive ways you can think of.
3. Wait for someone to step up on their moral soapbox.
4. Repeat from step 2.

The fact that Hasan went to Virginia Tech makes it tie in easily with the old VTech meme. But it's just another day on /b/.
