This meme is normally a variation on a specific Doug fan-comic in which Skeeter breaks some bad news to Doug and ends his otherwise serious talk with his phrase, “Honk, honk!”

Most other variations of this meme place the punchline at the last two panels, and many variations are 4chan references.
