About

SuperMarioLogan, usually abbreviated to SML refers to a YouTube channel made by a Floridian man named Logan Thirtyacre that relatively uploads Mario plush videos. The channel has constantly reused many memes in their videos.

Origin

SML started on December 8, 2007 with a video titled SUPER MARIO GOT MILK, a reenactment of the Super Mario 64 "Got Milk" commercial. In The Draw My Life video Logan created, he states that he had started YouTube because of his brother Lance told him that one of his friends found out about the site and had fun creating and uploading videos. When the video was made, he was in the 7th grade and was 13 years old.

Spread

SML gained popularity in 2008 after they uploaded a series premiere called "Mario and Luigi's stupid and dumb adventures". This included concept such as the meme Mama Luigi as one of the main characters.

In 2009, the channels uploaded videos dubbed "SML Movies" and "SML Shorts" featuring Mario and his friends. Another YouTuber named FroggyCompany gave Logan advice about using characters outside of the Mario franchise, which is where characters such as Tony The Tiger, Shrek and Woody make an appearance. In 2012, The channel started to make what is called by fans "Bowser, Bowser Junior and Chef Pee Pee Videos" which marked the debut of Chef Pee Pee, the chef/slave of Bowser who gets bothered by him and Junior all the time.

On January 27, 2016, an SML Movie featuring Mario titled "Mario The Babysitter!" debuted the original character "Jeffy", which led to more popularity on the channel. On October 22, 2016, the channel had hit 1,000,000 subscribers and 7 months later, the channel reaches 2 million.

Mario and Luigi's Stupid and Dumb Adventures

Mario and Luigi's Stupid and Dumb Adventures is an early series about Mario and the character "Mama Luigi", a retarded clone of Luigi, going on an adventure to save the princess from Bowser that all started from Mama Luigi paying Bowser to kidnap her. Many fans admired Mama Luigi. Furthermore, this is where Logan's popularity grew and earned his first streak of subscribers.

Unfortunately, his friends Luke and Zeke who played most characters, especially Zeke who played Mama Luigi, had to move to Colorado, which led to the death of Mama Luigi on July 23, 2009 in Season 2 Episode 1 "The Loss of A Retard", where Mama Luigi blows up himself and Bowser.

Ever since then, Logan lost a massive chunk of subscribers, but still uploaded videos with his brother.

Bowser Junior Videos

Bowser Junior is a character in SML Movies. Similar to the games, he is the 8-year-old son of Bowser, and an immature spoiled brat. Junior brags at Chef Pee Pee, the family cook, about having his food and how horrible his cooking is. Chef Pee Pee almost always gets annoyed by this and yells at him to stop most of the time. He is also abused by his dad, who sometimes whips him with a belt when he is causing trouble, and only likes his friends Joseph, a koopa that acts like a teenager, and Cody, a perverted homosexual magikoopa obsessed over his Ken doll. He debuted in the Mario and Luigi's Stupid and Dumb Adventures episode Baby Mutant Turtles.

He makes cameo appearances in other SML videos, but had his first canon appearance in Bowser Junior's Macaroni. He acts rude and obnoxious toward Chef Pee Pee when he is making the child his food.

Junior started to become more popular by fans and had built up a positive reception. He now was a main protagonist and had the most videos on the channel, outnumbering Mario's videos. Below is a more recent Bowser Junior video involving his best friends and Chef Pee Pee.

Over time, he started to decline, and fans started to dislike him due to his videos being over-repetitive on the channel, but made his way back up in popularity from younger viewers who liked the character.

Currently, his videos are still popular on the channel, and new one are coming out every week.

Jeffy

Jeffy is currently the most controversial character in SML. He is a stereotype of a mentally disabled kid with special needs. He, in similar vein to Junior, annoys Mario (whom he calls "daddy") and his girlfriend Rosalina ("mommy"), while doing other things such as spanking his diaper that is outside of his pants. He first appeared in Mario The Babysitter.

Jeffy started off with negative reception, but later on became likeable by some fans. All was well until the episode Jeffy's Bad Word!, where he constantly said "faggot" toward Mario. He also accused him of rape after a spanking punishment due to him repeating the profane word, but knew he just spanked him. Many fans criticized him of being an absolute jerk instead of being mentally retarded.

This worsened in Locked Out, where Jeffy locked Mario outside because he did not get chocolate cake due to him not eating his grean beans (which he totally disgusts) and told the cop that helped Mario that he did not know him. Many fans were outraged from this video to the point where some did not even watch a video involving Jeffy.

But when Jeffy's Parents! was released, many fans felt bad for Jeffy as he had been abused by his real mother Nancy, and his father had died. In the video, Jeffy had promised Mario that he would be a "good boy" and had now been adopted by him. Jeffy's reception went up after that video.

As Jeffy's popularity was rising, it shot up in Jeffy The Rapper! which is now the most viewed video on the channel. Younger fans grew fond of Jeffy and worshipped him to the point of disliking a video if it does not have Jeffy on the thumbnail.

This caused Jeffy to be hated by older fans due to the younger ones having a constant demand for him, but their hatred fueled from the release of Jeffy's Fidget Spinner!, an episode involving the Fidget Spinners, which was popular among young children, and had recently lost interest from older people.

Today, he is popular among young viewers that will only watch videos solely based on him, and will dislike a video that does not have Jeffy in it. This is why many videos involving the older characters of the series have so many dislikes on them.

Age-Restriction and Demonetization

Due to the Adpocalypse and the Elsagate Controversy, most of the SuperMarioLogan videos have been age-restricted and demonitized due to cussing and violence in it, to the point of YouTube shadow banning the account from the search results and removing the channel's ad revenue entirely. It has been mistaken by them that SML is affiliated with teaching children to do bad things as he uses characters from the Super Mario franchise, even though it is stated in the About section that his channel is meant for mature audiences.

He has recently uploaded new videos on his second account SuperLuigiLogan, which still is eligible for advertisements, but in a month, was striked down by YouTube bots and admins. Logan himself assumes that somebody at the YouTube administration is "fucking with him", and has stated that he will move to his last channel, SuperBowserLogan.

However, the ads on the SuperMarioLogan channel are back.
