Inferno Cop (インフェルノコップ Inferuno Koppu) is a Japanese original net anime, directed by Akira Amemiya, with Hiroyuki Imaishi serving as series production director. it is produced by Studio Trigger and CoMix Wave.

Synopsis

The series focuses on Inferno Cop, a police officer with a flaming head seeking revenge after his family was murdered by the shady Southern Cross organization. Inferno Cop dispenses ruthless justice on lawbreakers he can find in Jack Knife Edge Town, usually blowing them up.[1]

Anime

Inferno Cop was streamed via the "Anime Bancho" YouTube channel[2] from December 24, 2012 to March 18, 2013. It is also available on Crunchyroll[3]. The episodes are also on YouTube with English subtitles (shown below).



On June 9th 2017, during Studio TRIGGER's panel at AnimeNEXT, the sequel was announced.[4]

Special Episodes

There have been 3 special episodes of the series, primary made for TRIGGER Panel at many conventions. The first episode features characters from Little Witch Academia. The third episode involves Inferno Cop traveling to New Jersey, where he comes across Donald Trump. [5]

The first three shorts was aired at TRIGGER's panel in both AnimeNEXT 2015 and Anime Expo 2015, the second short at AnimeNEXT 2016, and the third short at Anime Expo 2017. As of July 9th, 2018, the third episode can be watched on YouTube.

Inferno Cop has a "Overwhelmingly" Positive reception for…well, everything that in involved with the anime. it has average user score of 7.34 on MyAnimeList[8].
