You…What Have You Done is a rage comic character used to express contempt or disappointment with someone's actions.

Origin

On July 13th, 2011, DeviantArtist peteypiranha128^[4] uploaded an illustration of a frowning stick figure crouching in the shadows with the caption "You… what have you done?" (shown below). Within the first two years, the image received over 66,000 views, 1,140 downloads and 100 favorites.

The same day, Redditor kawaiipiranha submitted the illustration to the f7u12^[1] subreddit, where it gained more than 3,500 up votes and 100 comments prior to being archived. Three hours later, the same Redditor submitted a rage comic using the face to f7u12,^[2] in which a woman mistakenly throws out a man's Pokemon cards (shown below, left). Before it was archived, the post accumulated upwards of 1,000 up votes and 35 comments. Also on July 13th, 2011, Redditor Jandklo posted a rage comic to f7u12^[9] of a mother abruptly turning on the lights her sons room (shown below, right), which garnered over 2,500 up votes and 60 comments prior to being archived.

On March 3rd, 2012, Cheezburger user Blggmac4444 submitted a rage comic to Memebase,^[6] expressing the frustrations of being asked for gum in class (shown below, left). On August 9th, 2012, Cheezburger^[10] user Xyhpered uploaded a rage comic complaining about Diet Pepsi being substituted for Coca-Cola (shown below, right).

On May 10th, 2013, Etsy^[7] user Valiantstudios listed a "what have you done" magnet for sale on the e-commerce website (shown below).
