Two food snobs in the following collection.

14 Food Snobs Who Are More Critical Than Gordon Ramsay

Lots of us are big foodies. That doesn't mean we constantly push our perceptions of good or bad food on others. From amateurs to people with terrible taste to professional chefs, anyone can be a food snob. Food snobs are people who are completely incapable of minding their business about a certain aspect of someone else's dish. This can mean anything from nonsensically correcting people on terminology to refusing to eat a menu item because the salt is "kosher" (all salt is kosher).

And these snobs seem awfully proud of themselves, too; we would be embarrassed for them, if it weren't for the fact that they're willingly ruining everyone else's joy with their annoying commentary. Thanks to the many people who love food and can't keep their mouths shut, we've collected some of the dumbest comments they've given on different culinary creations.

Using the Lingo

cowboydeanwinchester Follow will never forget when i worked in a fast food joint. some customer wrote like "86 cherries" on their mobile order, as like a pretentious way of say no cherries, but the store was run by a bunch of high schoolers who are working their first job so they collectively went "why the fk does this guy want 86 fing cherries" and like piled them onto his milkshake

Just say "no cherries" next time. At least he got what he asked for.

Cheese Facts

O2 hours ago One slice top, one bottom, everybody wins 1 3 + Reply Give Award Share Report Save 0 1 hour ago · edited 1 hour ago Look, I understand not everyone on the internet is cultured in fine dining but it is important to explain some of the basics. The purpose of cheese is not taste or flavor. Cheese's singular purpose when it comes to sandwiches or melts (not going to get into grilled cheeses because while they are the same genus they are a different species) is separation. The cheese itself does not give that wonderful taste, it is the separation, order, and structure of the object it is gracing its presence with that gives the flavor. There is more to recipes than the primal gratification of flavor, there is the civilized need for architecture. The appearance of a meal dominates the 'flavor' and subconsciously surrenders the guard of your tastebuds allowing for maximum pleasure visually, orally, and nasally. 1 -15 Reply Give Award Share Report Save 52 minutes ago Calm down pal, it's a sausage and egg muffin + 1 + Reply Give Award Share Report Save

Local Fare, Indian Flare

O desipdx •.. Ethan Block June 20, 2021 * The food is flavorful and of good quality, but I would not call this Indian food. It's northwestern food with an Indian flair. Thank you for stating the obvious. :) My tagline is "Local Fare - Indian Flair". I'm the chef and I'm Indian born and raised eating Indian food that's nothing like you would ever find at an Indian restaurant.

Sauces Should Only Be Used Ironically

1h Like Reply "Fries with mayo are superior to fries with ketchup" Imagine unironically putting mayo or ketchup on fries. Excuse me while I enjoy my fries with just aromatic salt. 2h Like Reply

Apparently, using any sauce on your fries is a crime against the food itself. But we can't imagine how boring it is to eat just plain fries all the time, either.

Kosher Salt

What is this nonsense im reading on first sight. "Kosher Salt"? Please be so kind to explain how the approval of some Jewish Rabbi over some sea salt improved its quality? Does he have magic powers? What does he know about Italian cuisine? Salt is salt. And untreated sea salt is usually of best quality.

(Source: Reddit)

Kosher salt is a type of coarse salt that's used in cooking meats. It doesn't mean it was blessed by a Rabbi, and clearly this food snob thinks he's a lot more informed than he actually is.

The Meat Caste System

Are you ashamed of your supermarkets? self.AskAnAmerican In USA, they have a caste system at the supermarkets. They sell different meats: the meats with all the fat strips removed and bones removed. Then the meats for the peasant pleb class, which are meats that Europeans wouldn't even feed to our dogs, they're in such poor condition. But in USA they write on the meat the percent of fat and bones and mark down the price so that their poor people can have the dog-scraps. Does this make you ashamed of yourselves or do you not even notice such backward customs that you have? No offence.

This Sushi Chef

Starshiee 1h Tbh this is excessive, stupid, and there's too much rice. Cramming 69 different flavors and textures does nothing but crowd your mouth and fill your stomach. I had a guy the other day order a huge plate where all the rolls were already a minimum of $15, already had at least 3 different fish- JUST on the outside, veggies, and other tempura fish on the inside, and the guy still asked for all the rolls to then be topped with an additional tuna, eel, AND yellowtail, each fish fully covering the roll, layered on top of one another. How annoying. 6 Reply 4 -11 sushijunkies OP • 1h I'm sorry did I do something to offend you? I don't normally eat rolls because I'm more of a nigiri/sashimi type of person. But sometimes I crave a roll and I just put everything I like into it. I'm sorry that you hate your job. No one is going around complaining about what you like to eat and how you eat it. Everyone likes their own thing. Why judge people for it?

Gatekeeping Pasta Sauce

1:43 4 l 5G Tweet 2794 ♡ 1,377 Calling it from scratch while using tomato paste is kinda mind boggling to me, I get why it's done this way but still. ♡ 3 Tomato Paste is part of making trom scratch tho It's an ingredient like any other, and kinda tastes super gross before you use it to make other things 27 1 Replying to @Monstralgam @kaitouclearart and @xamdl4 Tomato paste is not making things from scratch, that would be using fresh or at least canned tomatoes. That's like saying getting juice from concentrate is the same as fresh pressed ^^ Tweet your reply Q ΙΣ

Comments on a Tiramisu Recipe

.ul T-Mobile 1:17 PM © 75% A cooking.nytimes.com T Cooking Sander 3 years ago There's no cream in tiramisu. You beat the yolks with sugar (ruban), and mix with mascarpone. You beat the whites with sugar separately and then fold the two together. This creates a light, fluffy mixture which you'll never get using cream. Liquor is either amaretto or marsala (personally I don't care what you use, but the recipe is supposed to be 'classic'). Also, if you don't use raw eggs it's NOT a tiramisu. Different technique alltogether and totally irrational to be afraid of raw eggs. "Too Ethnic"

What ruins Filipino cuisine? Rice. Dinuguan can be served with those tiny putos, sinantolan with crudites, laing with lavash or toasted sliced French baguette, chicken curry with savory piyayas, etc., but Filipinos always insist on serving rice. Guacamole Purist

II CC 0:00 / 20:14 Comments 904 Amberscion • 1 day ago A When I make guacamole, which I do at least 10 times a year, I am a purist. My recipe is: Avocados Lime juice Kosher salt Ground white pepper That's it. Restaurants adulterate their guacamole with things like onions and tomatoes and peppers because guess what? Onions and tomatoes and peppers are a lot cheaper than avocados. So adding those and other similar things increases the volume and decreases the price per volume. And they are still going to charge you far too much for far too little guacamole... But when you're cooking at home you don't need to worry about the bottom line so much you can focus on making a great tasting and

Yes, a "guacamole purist" is apparently a thing. Why anyone would ever bother being so passionate about guacamole defies explanation.
