Chances are, you've tried a DIY project or two in an attempt to make something useful at no cost. However, this simple reasoning behind the DIY philosophy has turned sour, and there are thousands of people out there creating things no one would ever want or need. Honestly, you'll save yourself a lot of time if you just go to the store and buy something instead, and if it doesn't exist in stores, it's probably not worth making in the first place, right? But DIY fails are as old as society itself, and in the 2020s they've become increasingly desperate as people try to create their own self-sustaining worlds within the comfort of their small apartments.

We were bound to find people making some weird things, especially after the never-ending years of the pandemic kept people bored and too creative, and we certainly have found some. These things are impractical, have no real purpose or are just plain ugly. Here are some of our favorite misguided creations from artists, Facebook Marketplace and beyond that we wish no one had ever made.
