The sneakers were unveiled by former President Donald Trump at Sneaker Con in Philadelphia last Saturday, “I’ve wanted to do this a long time,” the former US president said during the event.
In less than 24 hours after the merch was revealed, the $399 sneakers were listed as sold out on the website called GetTrumpSneakers.com.
Are 'Trump Sneakers' Financing Donald Trump's Presidential Campaign?
According to Trump Sneakers' website, the product is not “designed, manufactured, distributed or sold” by Trump or his organization but rather by a company identified as 45Footwear, LLC, which uses Trump’s name and likeness under a license agreement. The website also claims the merchandise is not connected to Donald Trump's presidential campaign and is not political.
