MiSide imagines what would happen if you were sucked into a seemingly innocuous game and found yourself face to face with Mita, a charming girl with a yandere streak who makes Monika from Doki Doki Literature Club look like a shy wallflower.

It's an indie horror game where your virtual girlfriend doesn't just want your love; she wants your very freedom. Here's a recap of why people are so hyped about MiSide.

Who Made 'MiSide' And What Is The Game About?

MiSide is an indie horror game created by Aihasto and published by IndieArk. The game follows the player as he is sucked into a mobile game where he cares for a digital girl with yandere tendencies named Mita. The player then finds himself trapped in the game as she grows increasingly psychotic and obsessive.

After being announced in 2022, Aihasto released a demo version of the game in 2023 and released the final game to Steam in December 2024. The trailers for the game show Mita demonstrating increasingly erratic behavior, including scenes where she stalks you around the house with a knife.

How Did Internet Users React To 'MiSide'?

Several internet users made posts commending the game's quirky design upon its release, including @rods_skyfish, who posted a clip of how the game stops the player from exiting the game easily.

Streamer and YouTuber Markiplier posted a YouTube video about playing the game soon after its release in December 2024.

What Are Some Memes And Fanart Featuring Mita From 'MiSide'?

Fans of the game also posted memes and fanart featuring the lead character Mita, as seen in a tweet by @zixi_zixi which featured Mita in a version of Ibai Llanos Explaining Things. A day later, @LionPepperX posted fan art of Mita.
