What Is The 'Wednesday Doll Trend?'
In late September, 2024, TikToker @imbilly_774 posted the video that set off the Wednesday doll trend. In the video, the TikToker films himself pushing up the hair on a Wednesday Addams doll, made to promote the Netflix series of the same name, then putting the doll onto a shelf full of similarly bald-looking Wednesday dolls. The video gained over 145 million views in just a few weeks.
From there, other TikTokers took it upon themselves to find the same dolls in their local areas and bald-ify them for the sake of the meme. Sure enough, dozens of videos of the bald Wednesday dolls started popping up on the app, including videos by employees fixing the dolls. Some stores have even put up signs warning customers to leave the dolls alone.

How Did Jenna Ortega React To The 'Wednesday Doll Trend?'
Jenna Ortega is the lead actress in Netflix's Wednesday, meaning that, in a way, the Wednesday doll is a representation of Ortega's take on the character. Considering this, it's not surprising that Ortega had a few things to say about the trend on social media. Recently, she responded to a few viral videos by users partaking in the trend in a very tongue-in-cheek way.
One comment, left on a video of TikToker @zirelle.__ flipping the bald dolls' hair back into place, reads, "This is so cute." Another, left on a video of a sign set up by the store owner discouraging customers from flipping Wednesday's hair, was blessed with a comment by Ortega reading, "Please don't." It's safe to say, Ortega sees the humor in the trend.
