KYM Review: Best Meme Creators Of 2021
Original content creators are the backbone of meme society and 2021 gave memers of all sorts a lot to work with. During a year when everyone really needed a laugh, a select bundle of creators kept us all chuckling consistently throughout the year with high-quality, hilarious memes that often push the boundaries of what a meme can be.
In no particular order, here are the top 10 meme creators of the year from across the web.
Bradeazy
Bradeazy is one of the most well-known creators on TikTok. The Trade Offer meme propelled him to meme stardom this year, a format where Brad offers you one dumb thing in exchange for another that inspired hundreds of variations earlier this year. The meme was everywhere within the month as it was converted from a viral TikTok video to a viral TikTok screenshot and exploitable.
Beyond Trade Offer, Brad has been crushing it this year on TikTok and Instagram. He's stepped further away from the face filter memes he grew his profile on and started making hilarious use of popular sounds for some of the best lip dub videos the platform has to offer. He's also been making his own skits and collabing with some of the best creators on the app. Brad's videos are constantly slipping out of TikTok and around the web thanks to his sense of humor and originality, making him one of the year's most enjoyable meme creators.

KinoFabino
If you follow KinoFabino, you probably understand why he's been added to this list. Fabino's memes are in a class of their own. Using characters from retro video games, deadpan humor and a fittingly retro style popping with color and wild imagery, every Fabino meme is something to behold. It's obvious that KinoFabino has a love and respect for memes and artistry and combines those for truly special results.
Trashcanpaul
Trashcanpaul is a meme creator on Instagram with over 2.6 million followers. In a sea of creators on the platform, Paul stands out by posting only the best-of-the-best memes from around the web mixed with great OC that shows talent behind the page.
Paul is more than just a curator like so many other meme pages on Instagram, he's a creator with his pulse on the trigger of meme culture. He knows how to take a popular format and spin it in his own way and he's got the massive follower count to prove it. If Trashcanpaul posts a meme, you know that format is about to (or maybe already is) pop off.
Kracc Bacc
Kracc Bacc has been killing it on YouTube in 2021. This video editing megastar creates some of the most absurd, exciting and straight-up hilarious 21st-century humor style memes of all time and has been putting them out to high view counts all year. Bacc is able to take just about any popular meme and spin it in the strangest way possible, mashing up formats regularly and always creating something unique and brain-melting. This year he's taken on NFTs, The Rock, Clash Royale, Nikocado Avocado and much more in his memes and used them in some of the most high-quality, insane edits out there. If you're looking for top-tier insanity, look no further.
MeatCanyon
MeatCanyon is an animator known for his disturbing yet intriguing art style that makes caricatures out of some of the most popular creators, celebrities and characters on the web. In 2021, MeatCanyon put out about 24 animations and each one garnered millions of views on YouTube. He started the year off strong with hits like "Kitty," a straight-up horrifying animation where Sully from Monster's Inc. simps over Boo, and "I Can Count To Three," an equally horrific Peppa Pig animation. From there, things just kept on snowballing.
MeatCanyon is always ready and eager to jump on the latest and greatest meme trends and put a unique spin on them, whether it's an ironic DaBaby edit or a pitch-perfect criticism of Nikocado Avocado during the height of his weight drama. If 2021 is any indication, 2022 is going to be a wild year for MeatCanyon.
Arcade Assassin
Whenever there's a meme trending on YouTube, an Arcade Assassin video is never far off. Assassin's memes aren't the most high-quality, intensive edits out there but they work. They're beautiful in their simplicity and are often reposted and copied across the web by other meme pages. Arcade Assassin is quick to the punch and always at the head of the popular YouTube trends with a banger meme or two almost made for the YouTube recommended page. Assassin proves that as long as you have a good joke and a little editing talent, you can make quality memes that get quality results.
Boomer.Jim
Boomer.Jim is one of the most wholesome and dedicated meme pages of the year. Posting daily original content, Boomer.Jim's memes range from strange to straight-up silly. Jim is a big fan of the ironic image macro and has become a master of the format, always ready with some topical, funny text to slap onto an image and feed to his over 328,000 followers.
Jim's memes are full of bright imagery, goofy sentiments and topical references. His page stands out for its overt dedication to positivity, often posting memes in support of the LGBTQ+ community and progressive causes and hyping up his followers while offering bold stands against questionable causes. Boomer.Jim is a rare breed on Instagram with a fantastic sense of humor to top it off.
On_a_downward_spiral
Instagram meme page on_a_downward_spiral blew up big-time this year as one of the most unique ironic meme pages on the site. Known for their super-ironic take on memes, the page posts a mixture of post-ironic reposts and unmarked OC that tackles the most annoying aspects of zoomer and human culture in general. The page has amassed a huge following of post-ironic memers who are more than eager to flog themselves with self-deprecating humor and suffer along with Spiral, whose username describes the feeling of scrolling through their page with incredible accuracy.
Among their biggest accomplishments of the year, Spiral helped popularize the Instagram Story screenshot as a new meme format. The page also helped countless memes find their footing by simply resharing and making their own versions of them, including the I Forgor format and Drake's Mirror Selfie. Expect to see a lot of this page in the next year.
Jehht
Do you like Sonic memes? Well, so does Jehht, and he's sort of perfected the genre this year with his hilarious memes that mimic video game cutscenes, particularly from the Sonic Adventure series. In 2021, Jehht had a number of big hits on YouTube and Twitter, the biggest hits being edits where Sonic and friends read meme quotes that look like they were taken straight from the game. They're the sort of memes you have to see to appreciate and when you do, there's no going back.
While Sonic is clearly the object of Jehht's desire, the member has taken on a number of other games and topics recently, including PaRappa the Rapper, the Mario Brothers movie, and Castlevania. Jehht's memes went above and beyond this year, making them one of 2021s most interesting creators.
Gianni Matragrano
Gianni Matragrano has solidified his place as a meme legend in 2021. While he doesn't always (but sometimes does) create the memes he voices over, Matragrano's voice-overs add so much to each meme he takes on that they effectively evolve into something new. Each voiceover is dripping with personality and humor as Matragrano nails the assignment with increasing perfection each day. Not only does he post a lot of memes, but most of those memes are bangers that more often than not receive viral spread shortly after they go up on his YouTube page.
Aside from his masterpiece meme work, Matragrano has also done plenty of voice work on retro FPS games and in anime, constantly popping up somewhere. If you're not on the Matragrano train yet, you have a lot of fantastic memes to catch up on.
