Jehtt is a voice actor, YouTuber and content creator best known for creating sketches that look like video game cutscenes, particularly from the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, which helped him grow in renown as a video meme creator in 2021.

History

Jehtt, real name unknown, joined YouTube on November 3rd, 2014^[1] and Twitter in February of 2015.^[2] His location data on Twitter says he is based in Northern California. Initially, Jehtt focused on posting clips of Super Smash Brothers content (first upload shown below).

For years, his videos struggled to crack ten thousand views, until he began making more meme-based and voice acting content. On July 29th, 2020, he uploaded a meme of himself doing Toad's voice, gaining over 81,000 views in over one year (shown below, left). On May 31st, 2021, he posted a Ligma meme featuring Shadow the Hedgehog, gaining over 1.7 million views in seven months (shown below, right).

He later gained popularity for voicing the Why So Many In The Radical Left Participate In Speedrunning thread as Shadow. His YouTube upload of the video gained over 2.3 million views (shown below, left). To date, his most popular video, posted November 4th, 2021, has over 4.4 million views (shown below, right).

Jehtt has over 75,000 subscribers on YouTube^[1] and 5,100 followers on Twitter^[2] as of December 17th, 2021.
