Weekend Meme Roundup: Wario Elon Musk, Shuba Duck, Jonkers Special Liquid
This past weekend was one that had a lot of anticipation building up to it. Elon Musk, the walking millionaire meme man himself, hosted Saturday Night Live, a noticeable step down from Meme Review, which he did two years ago. What would we see from his performance? Elon Musk in a Wario costume. Not to let Elon have all the hype, there is also the much anticipated Jonkers Is Now Working on A Special Liquid meme that cropped up over the weekend. Bringing it all together is the Hololive meme Shuba Duck, which saw significant spread on Reddit.
Wario Elon Musk
Wario Elon Musk refers to one of the skits from Elon's SNL episode. The skit that had him in costume was a courtroom sketch in which his real-world wife, Grimes, played princess Peach. The skit was one of many moments during the night that involved Musk, making everyone who tuned in specifically for him cringe, as was to be expected. While many were hoping for Dogecoin to be pumped to the moon due to his appearance, it appears that quite the opposite happened, which helped fuel the many memes made about him over the weekend.
Jonkers Is Now Working On A Special Liquid
Have you heard the news? Jonkers Is Now Working on A Special Liquid is the hottest new trend to make waves online. It refers to a still image from an advertisement for a new type of self-healing concrete. What makes it so special? The concrete is able to heal itself using a bacteria reaction when it comes into contact with water. That's it, that's the meme.
Shuba Duck
Shuba Duck is the name given to a cute animated duck that is dancing alongside the VTuber Oozora Subaru. One of her nicknames has been "Duck" for a while now, so when fan art depicting her dancing next to a duck wearing a backward baseball hat was posted to Twitter it caught fire fast. Many people started to create memes just of the duck wearing the baseball hat, completely leaving out the original Hololive meaning.
