PewDiePie Is Killing Memes / *clap* *clap*

PewDiePie Is Killing Memes is a popular in-joke which refers to an idea that memes featured in Meme Review video have already peaked in popularity and are reaching the end of their "lifespan". The trope is associated with the double hand clap performed by PewDiePie in his videos, with the implied meaning that PewDiePie is killing memes by clapping his hands. In some jokes, saying the words "meme review" is presented as a reflex reaction to a person clapping their hands twice.

On May 2nd, 2018, YouTuber Grandayy posted a video in which he applied Disintegration Effect to various memes previously reviewed by PewDiePie, referring to the trope (shown below, left). On May 30th, 2018, Grandayy posted a mock-up musical intro for the show.

To both a hilarious and profitable extent, Elon Musk and Justin Roiland seemingly did a great job at showing that both content creators and business-oriented individuals can coexist on the platform without having to turn YouTube into some underhanded attempt to turn the platform into a programming venue. The humour, in addition to this, was pretty funny and their presentations were great. Well done, to everyone who cooperated in this.
