Have you listened to "The Creepypasta Song" yet? It's going viral on Twitter / X and TikTok right now, but it all started on YouTube a little over a week ago.

The track runs through a bunch of infamous creepypastas, ranging from Slender Man to Jeff the Killer, but it does so in an odd way. Whoever's rapping on the beat has little concern for rhythm or tone, making everything feel hilariously (and perhaps perfectly) out of place.

So, who created "The Creepypasta Song?" How did it go viral and why? Let's explain.

What's The Original 'The Creepypasta Song' YouTube Video?

The original video was shared at the beginning of March by a YouTuber named The "Porcelain Pal" Collective. The song's full title is, "THE CREEPYPASTA SONG: The Scariest Song In Decades."

The YouTuber obviously has a love for creepypastas as well as meme rap. Everything about the song feels wrong, but it also feels so right. Its five-and-a-half-minute runtime is captivating all the way through.

How Did 'The Creepypasta Song' Go Viral?

A Twitter user named @SassyGangsterYT largely amplified the YouTube video's reach. They must have been recommended it shortly after its upload because they screen-recorded a segment and reposted it on X when it only had 26 views.

The moment they clipped started with the performer rapping, "I'm Slender Man! find my pages," which quickly transitioned (for some reason) into, "I'm ProJared, and, I cheated on my wife!"

Soon after, the clip and other verses on the track spread in viral videos on TikTok and Instagram. One moment that was clipped multiple times flashed the Elegy of Emptiness Statue while the "Tails scream" from Sonic.exe was remixed in a surprisingly experimental and musical moment.

What Are The Lyrics Of 'The Creepypasta Song?'

The song's full lyrics are already on the lyrics site Genius if you're interested in singing this one at your next "happy hour" karaoke event. However, if you're just looking for a copypasta from this song, here is one of the most memorable stanzas:

I'm Slender Man! Find my pages!
Listen to my voice and you'll find the key!
I'm ProJared and I cheated on my wife!
I'm SlendyTubby! Ah!
I'm Mickey Mouse and I'm going to commit suicide.
And I'm the original creepypasta, Chuckie Finster!
Phineas and Ferb are dead!
And creepypasta class is dismissed.
