The meme comes from a scene in Hotel Transylvania 2 where Dracula is spiraling about his grandson alone in his room, his silk pajamas buttoned up tight while he stresses about his daughter's parenting decisions. He mocks his daughter Mavis, saying, "Dad, it's not a fang!" before shifting into his son-in-law Johnny's surfer bro cadence.

Dracula mocks Johnny for being too unopinionated and laid back with his parenting opinions, saying, "Hey dudeman, I'm afraid to say anything," before pointing his fingers, pursing his lips, and bobbing his head while declaring, "Hey dudeman, I'm a dude man."

YouTuber Arozura first uploaded the clip in July 2016, where it slowly climbed past 180,000 views.
