1608-1630

First thing's first: I changed the colors on Lancashire and Templar because they were too close for me to distinguish or read the names on. Hopefully now they will be easier to look at.

1609, Lancashire invades Mali again. They will continue invading Mali at every opportunity in the coming decades until the entire state is conquered.

At the same time, Ambrosia finishes up the unification of the Italian peninsula.

And Barcelona finally removes Sardinia from the map.

In 1610, Kurdistan fell under a personal union as Romania's junior, forming the United Kingdoms of Romania and Kurdistan.

And within a year the same thing happens to double-Prussia.

1611, Romania-Kurdistan partition Hungary. Brandenburg-Prussia follow up within a year to annex what was left.

1613, Khuzait invades Bukhara, reclaiming their lost territories and then a little bit more.

In 1615, Barcelona finishes a war with Savoy, annexing most of the kingdom. Switzerland would swoop in a few years later to finish them off.

Camarilla, while attempting to build a colony stretching along the entire coast of North America, is interrupted by Naotho, which seems intent on disrupting Scandinavia's colonial plans at every opportunity. Meanwhile, Pezcado is steadily moving north to encircle the entire east coast, conquering natives and settling new lands as they go.

1616, Camarilla begins its conquest of Benin, and Hueynation simultaneously invades Songhai. As with Lancashire in Mali, these countries would continue to invade the African kingdoms between very brief periods of peace. It is a time of terror across West Africa.

1617, Romania invades Amazon. Brandenburg-Prussia joins their ally for the final partition and Khuzait is quick to follow suit.

Bukhara has been abandoned by its allies and ravaged by Khuzait and is now in the twilight of its existence.

In 1619 the Templar once again declare war over their claim for Cornwall. Barcelona sends its armies onto the island, the British and Camarilite navies being overpowered by the joined forces of Hueynation, Barcelona, and Templar.

The Templar, meanwhile, direct most of their actual efforts to fighting Lancashire's only ally, Camarilla.

1621, Romania-Kurdistan go to war with Bohtan on false pretenses, and actually invade Bohtan's ally, Latice. Being that Bohtan is not allied with Ambrosia, this turns out to be yet another war in which Ambrosia cannot help their Muslim friends.

In 1622 Lancashire succeeds in renewing their alliance with Ambrosia, calling their old friend into the war and successfully turning the tide. Although they do not actually end up winning the war, they do prevent the Templar from taking everything that they want.

Europe in 1630. At some point Bohemia also fell under a union beneath Brandenburg and was recently integrated. Brandenburg is on a warpath to dismantle the Holy Roman Empire, Hungary and Amazon have vanished, Tver and Polotsk have been annexed by Khuzait, Croatia has been eaten by Kurdistan, and Barcelona is very slowly conquering the last of the Maghreb tribal nations. Speaking of the Maghreb, it seems that somehow Pezcado has reacquired one of their old provinces, a territory fittingly named "Haha."

West Africa. Hueynation, Camarilla, and Lancashire are jostling for territory as they quickly close in on Songhai.

North America. Pezcado's encirclement is complete; New Camarilla cannot possibly expand any farther than two or three more provinces. Naotho has also been expanding rapidly inland, each year growing stronger at a steady rate. Templar colonies in Texas and Louisiana are also expanding inland.

South America. Frittland's Colombian colony is expanding rapidly, and they have even begun conquering Peruvian kingdoms. Hueynation has begun settling colonies along the coast of Peru as well. During their war with Lancashire, the Templar did manage to steal the entirety of their Argentine colony.

Diplomacy. Blue lines represent personal unions. Khuzait has finally made an ally, Frittland. Unfortunately their rivalry with Camarilla has renewed and they once again hate one another, resulting in a deterioration of relations between Frittland and Camarilla, who will soon break their alliance if something is not done to reverse this change. Camarilla has allied with Songhai as well, becoming something of a protector to the African nations and simultaneously aggravating the expansion efforts of Lancashire and Hueynation. Despite the fact that Naotho is a heathen nation, the Templar have decided to become their first ally, presumably due to their mutual hatred for the Lancasters and Camarilla.

Aurea Ambrosia:

- Choose Quality as the next (fifth) idea slot
- Forge claims on Barcelona's nearby provinces, as well as Switzerland. Try to invade Switzerland with alloes, so that Barcelona joins in.

1630-1660

1630, Camarilla invades Kurland, which is now without allies due to Prussia being under union.

Later that year, Naotho declares war upon Camarilla, taking advantage of the distraction in Kurland.

In 1634, Lancashire sets its sights upon Madagascar, and invades the kingdom of Sakalava.

Camarilla's wars end in 1635, losing significant territory in the colonies and gaining more than half of Kurland.

Greece declares independence in 1636 with disastrous results. They will soon be engulfed in a series of wars against Romania that they stand no chance of winning.

Camarilla plants some colonies in Formosa, the Philippines, and Australia.

Meanwhile, Hueynation and Lancashire are competing for the American west coast.

Ambrosia declares war upon Romania in 1642. Initially they make significant gains in the Balkans, but the timely intervention of Barcelona halts their progress and they are pushed all the way back into Italy. In the end they only manage to take one province, Friuli.

Persia invades Najd and Latice in 1643, pushing into the Arabian peninsula successfully.

1644, Naotho continues its conquest of America by invading Pezcado.

In 1645 the Persian war makes its way to the Levant and Egypt. Latice is unable to fend them off, which is only characteristic of their gradual downfall. Even Latice's colonies in Indonesia are better developed than the Latician homeland.

Camarilla continues its colonization of India, stepping off of Ceylon and onto the continent.

1647, Barcelona invades Switzerland, which is guaranteed by Ambrosia, leading the Holy Roman Emperor to fight the Italians once again. This time Ambrosia loses territory, however, ceding their portion of Piedmont to Barcelona.

1648, Naotho finishes their war with Pezcado, finally connecting up their separated territories.

The conquest of Peru ends in 1650, split down the middle between Hueynation and Frittland.

Interestingly, Peruvian mystics have begun converting Scandinavia to Inti. The Nords now praise the Sun.

In 1652, Khuzait declares war upon Romania. In an absolute blitz of the region, Khuzait storms down into the Balkans. Within months they are surging across Bulgaria, having completely knocked over any Romano-Kurdish defenses that were placed in their way.

Also in 1652, Camarilla quickly annexes what is left of Kurland.

Thanks to the wildly successful Protestant Reformation and the result of the League Wars barring protestants from becoming electors, the Holy Roman Empire has devolved back to the way it was in the year 1000, with the Pope alone selecting the new emperors. Barcelona, having held famous papal relations for centuries, is virtually guaranteed the throne at each election.

Europe in 1560. Romania has merged with Kurdistan to form the Romano-Kurdish Union, and Brandenburg is steadily conquering Germany. A coalition has formed against Barcelona and Brandenburg, but the latter does not seem to care; Brandenburg is currently involved in two wars of conquest against German princedoms. Europe has grown relatively peaceful as the great powers expand to their limits and a network of alliances guarantee that any war which breaks out will be fatal. Less and less often are the great powers willing to upset this delicate balance of power.

South Africa. Besides the Lancaster acquisition of Madagascar, there is nothing new to see here.

North America. California and Cascadia have been entirely claimed by Lancashire and Hueynation, respectively. The Templar spent these past few decades with an intense focus upon expanding Texas and Louisiana deep into the central plains. Naotho, the juggernaut that it is, is also reaching its tendrils towards the plains and may soon find itself in conflict with the Templar.

South and Central America. Peru is completely colonized, but once again it must be said how remarkable it is that Mexico is completely untouched. It stands as a modern preserve of stone-age human civilization.

Asia. Khuzait has finalized the colonization of Siberia. Manchu has united, although the rest of China remains broken and divided.

Oceania. Camarilla has given significant focus into colonizing Australia, and Latice has almost secured the entirety of Indonesia.

Diplomacy. Very little has changed lately. It would appear that the alliances are solidifying into seperate factions, with Templar, Barcelona, Hueynation, Romania, and Naotho on one side and Camarilla, Frittland, Khuzait, Lancashire, Ambrosia, and Latice on the other. Brandenburg remains without any allies at all.

Why does it seem like nothing from my last three turns has been done? Moreover, Khuzait has been rivalled for some reason instead of allied, like I wrote in the last few turns :/

Aurea Ambrosia:
- Change Humanist to Quality, Economic can stay.
- Remove Khuzait as rival and attempt to ally them – priority.
- Attempt to ally Brandenburg, Hueynation, Camarilla, fricking anyone to have those four diplomatic relations.
-Stpp guaranteeing Switzerland and put claims over neaby Romania, Barcelona's European parts and Sicily, as well as the HRE states. Also remove retarded relations with small states.

I start every turn doing as you say. The AI often has other plans, and they have been disobeying me more frequently as the various player nations gradually become the ONLY nations. Brandenburg, for instance, broke THREE royal marriages that I set up within a year. I guess they just don't care for stability or friends.

Red lines are NOT rivals; they are poor relations. Khuzait is not rivaled to everyone, everyone just hates them. Probably because they are dirty Tengrists and you are a righteous Protestant.

The only reason you guaranteed Switzerland is because you had claims on them; the AI will often guarantee a country that it wants to annex but is not presently in a position to do so. I guess Ambrosia is just waiting for the HRE to collapse.

Welp, looks like Latice is in the shitter. Might as well at least try to salvage it.

1630-1660

Naotho invades New Camarilla again in 1660. This is basically a repeat of the last war; with the same allies on both sides, it looks to be a sure win for Naotho.

1663, Brandenburg invades Saxony and Austria as they surge along on their path towards German unification.

In 1666 the war concludes, and New Camarilla is no more.

Khuzait invades Oirat in 1667, and ends up annexing most of the horde's lands.

In 1668 Ambrosia secures an alliance with Brandenburg and immediately invades the Union. The Germans spend the first few months of the war mopping up what remains of Austria before putting all of their forces to work fighting in Romania.

Months later, Hueynation invades Lancastrian West Africa, causing the Illyrian conflict to become a continental one.

The war of Illyria, 1668. Practically every state in Europe besides the Scandinavians and Khuzait are involved.

Latice collapses within the first year of the war, with Union forces capturing Cairo and Barcelonan armies storming through Tripoli and into Libya.

1671. Most of the fighting has occurred over Savoy, with the Prussians and Italians bouncing their armies between Illyria, Sicily, and Switzerland, crushing enemy armies on each front in turn.

Naotho invades Pezcado again in 1671, easily destroying their armies and marching as far south as Florida.

And in another 1671 war, Frittland invades the Mayan kingdom of Xiu.

Latice quits the war in 1672, handing over Tripolitania to Barcelona and another chunk of the Levant to the Union.

The war ends in 1674. Hueynation successfully pries a large chunk of Africa out of Lancastrian hands while Ambrosia takes half of Illyria.

A massive rebellion breaks out in Russia. Although Khuzait succeeds in crushing the rebellion, it seems symptomatic of a time of crisis that Khuzait is experiencing; similar revolts occur across the steppes as well in the following few years.

In 1675 Brandenburg inherits Prussia and, having run out of German princedoms to invade, promptly declares war upon Camarilla to take their German lands.

Naotho finishes their war with Pezcado, tearing up the borders to show their contempt for reasonably stable frontiers.

Prussia's war on Camarilla rages on along four fronts, against Camarilla's new allies Romania and Netherlands.

The war ends in 1679, with Prussia breaking Camarilla's connection to Pomerania.

Friemann Colombia, clearly upset by their overlord's decision to convert to Inti, declares independence. Peru opts to remain on Frittland's side, and so the war is mostly fought in Peru. Colombia is winning a clear victory, and it seems as if they may succeed in gaining their independence soon.

Zulu zealots have risen up in rebellion against their Templar masters and have not only succeeded in conquering the entire colony, but have also raised a formidable army to maintain their conquest.

Europe in 1680. Double Prussia has reformed into Germany and only two states remain in the Holy Roman Empire under Barcelonan hegemony: Poland and Liege. The title is essentially meaningless at this point. Barabant has also formed the Netherlands, quitting the HRE around the same time that Brandenburg-Prussia did.

North America. Huey Alaska has expanded to its limit, but Lancaster California is still growing towards the inland provinces with great speed. Frittland has succeeded in conquering the Yucatan and most of Mexico. Naotho has retaken Greenland from Camarilla, along with their colonies in New Camarilla. Could this be the first step towards Naotho reclaiming their homelands in Europe?

South America. Colombia is winning its war by a landslide, having almost fully occupied Peru and no Friemann reinforcements in sight.

Southern Africa. As mentioned, Hueynation has expanded at Lancashire's expense, most likely due to the fact that Camarilla is preventing them from expanding more easily into Songhai. Barcelona has also recently invaded Yao, easily conquering a few provinces from them.

Asia. Khuzait is gradually pushing south from Siberia and Camarilla has taken a few more pieces of India. China is gradually being unified under Min in the south and Manchu in the north.

Oceania. Camarilla has completed the colonization of Australia and Latice continues dominating Indonesia, with only one major rival left in the region.

IMPORTANT NEW GAME RULE

From now on you have the option to form or join diplomatic factions which will act as group alliances. Everybody in a faction will be allied with everybody else in the faction, meaning that every war any individual becomes a part of will involve every member. There is no way for the AI to muddle up factions, so this is a way for you to take charge of your diplomatic affairs more effectively.

The downside to factions is that there will be no diplomacy possible outside of the faction; everybody in the faction will have the same diplomatic relations, which will not be decided by any individual nation. You may, of course, leave a faction at any point in time that it seems to your benefit.

To create a faction, make a post announcing it in this thread. A faction requires two things: a name and multiple members. So, in your post announcing the creation of your faction, be sure to give it a good name and invite at least one other to join.

To join an existing faction, simply say so in the thread which faction you wish to join. The other members of that faction then have 24 hours to accept or decline your membership. You need a simple majority of votes to be accepted; anybody who does not vote will count as an abstain.

Any member of a faction may also invite any NPC into their faction. The other members of the faction must then vote upon the nomination, as with any new member. The NPC may or may not agree to join, however, depending upon what I believe the NPC would want and how strong the faction is compared to other factions.

I would highly recommend that you join a faction at this time; anybody who remains neutral is sure to be rapidly eclipsed by the factions, and perhaps even conquered.

Templar accepts The Union's offer on the grounds that they wish to maintain their alliance with Barcelona and Hueynation.

Persia accepts, but wishes it to be known that they have their sights set on Latician Iraq; should Latice join The Allies then Persia might leave.

Liege and Netherlands agree that Germany must be stopped and accept the offer as well.


The Allies faction has formed, with members Union, Barcelona, Templar, Hueynation, Liege, Netherlands, and Persia.


Poland is requesting to join The Allies. Liege and Netherlands both vote yes as they hope to curb German aggression. Templar vote no because they do not want to risk a war with Germany; not yet. Persia abstains because they do not care about Poland.


Germany would like to create The Axis faction, and is inviting Ambrosia, Lancashire, and Khuzait to join.

im voting yes on poland, mostly cause its better to curb german expansion now.

i also wish to invite shirvan on the grounds that their aggresors (khuzait) will oppose us.

Aurea Repubblica Ambrosia:
- Ambrosia joins the Axis, and suggests extending invitations to Naotho (As a rising power, and against the Allies' colonial possessions, they have proven their worth in conquering these), Gujarat (against Persia), and Frittaland (against Camarilla).
- Ambrosia renews the claims on the Union and Barcelona's lands, and if it has a surplus of money, it subsidizes Germany.
- For the sixth idea slot (when it comes) pick Maritime, and build up a navy.

Considering the storm that is bound to happen, I would like to state that no repeat of Prussia and Khuzait's humiliation will occur. We are among the most powerful nations in Europe, Germany alone survived wars against a vast array of nations last turn, and consider that that was without any allies. Imagine that power the Axis could achieve with allies. Khuzait only grows in power each year. We are of becomings USSR. We have already purged the Bukhara devils from this earth, do not be next on the list.

~ On the German Invitation ~

Khuzait promises its bow, its sabre, its gun, its horse, and above all, its loyalty to Germany. Khuzait officially accepts the Axis invitation. With a horde and military that numbers among the highest in the world, alongside Germany's ironclad forces and Ambrosia's state of the art and veteran Italian army, we stand a formidable force against the "Allies".

~ On the Axis and European Affairs ~

I urge Lancashire, Camarilla, and Frittland to join the side that proves to have the better odds, to join the Axis. To the nordic states, consider that by doing so, both of you will have no immediate border threats, and have three very strong allies to back you in wars. Joining the faction is also an opportunity to right wrongs and establish long wanted alliances. Frittland and Camarilla would cease rivalries and secure their centuries long alliance. Camarilla and Lancashire, allies to my understanding, would no longer have any poor relations with Frittland. The concept applies with Frittland and Khuzait in respect to Camarilla. I beg Camarilla to leave Naotho conflicts in the past. Your colonies stretch across the world, consider that your homelands and its security is of more importance than American transactions. In order for the North to finally see peace, the Axis is the right faction to join.

Now while I have observed quietly the actions of western Europe, and I admit to respecting the rapid growth of my enemies, I can't tolerate the rude and arrogant remarks of Kurdistan. Enough insults have been passed, enough with openly challenging and bashing on fellow players. You aren't being funny or clever, you're just bragging and being a force of negativity.

~ Final Words ~

Europe will burn below the Khuzait banner. We have not forgotten who has wronged us, each fallen Khuzait warrior lost in the League War is added weight to the balance scale of justice. Together, Germany, Aurea Ambrosia, Latice, and Khuzait stand strong. Join us in arms and be welcomed as comrades, or face a wrath yet unseen on war torn Europe.

I never thought I'd be fighting alongside some Germans, but hey, anything but France. I accept to join the Axis

The Axis has formed, with founding members Germany, Aurea Ambrosia, Lancashire, and Khuzait.

On Ambrosia's nominations of Frittland, Gujarat, and Naotho to the Axis:

Germany votes yes on accepting both Naotho and Frittland.

Gujarat refuses their nomination; they do not care to enter diplomatic relations with Europe at this time.

On Latice's request to join the Axis:

Germany votes yes.

Latice may not invite Najd to the Axis until Latice is an official member themselves.


On Khuzait's nomination of Camarilla to the Axis:

Germany votes no on the grounds that they still want Pomerania.

On The Union's nomination of Pezcado to the Allies:

Ambrosia would also suggest choosing a leader of the Axis faction once in a while – said country would have the final decision when it comes to the diplomatic course of the entire alliance and their vote would determine the winning option if we end up with a draw.

~ On the North ~

Seriously, consider the overwhelming strategic advantage of having the North with us. Not only do they field impressive militaries, but Germany and Khuzait cannot afford to fight a war with more than two bordered enemies. Perhaps not even affording, I simply refuse to be on a battlefield against Camarilla. I clarify, with the north on our side, we can focus all our strength on the south.

Ambrosia, I understand your reluctance, but if Camarilla is with us then all our armies are there to defend yours. We won't be distracted in the north without the means to aid you. The Nordic states are the tipping point between life and death. We need Frittland and Camarilla with us. I cannot stress this enough. We can't just wait for Naotho and Frittland to post in the thread. Say they don't, then what? Now is the critical time we can't regret in the future.

That said, I invite Najd to the Axis. Let's speed up the process so we don't have to wait a turn for Latice to join.

Khuzait is not a colonial power, so it has little regard for African and American exchanges. Note that while I feel for Naotho being exiled, I don't necessarily deem it a power vital to the Axis cause, due to primary tensions in Europe being of highest concern. However, if giving Naotho African holdings means it is a step to it joining the Axis, which in turn means Camarilla is insured, then I encourage such transactions to be made.

Do take note, I wish to see full resolution to Naotho-Camarilla tensions and conflicts. Joining the Axis is an opportunity for peace between warring nations, and a formal response to the growing Allied threat. I wish that each member nation honors their oath to the Axis, and not leave or betray our cause.

Since Khuzait presses the Camarilla matter, Ambrosia is willing to vote "yes" on its membership vote.

Natually Ambrosia says "Yes" to Najid, to reinforce Axis' position in the Middle East, not to leave Lattice alone.

Voting yes for Najd, as they are a long-time ally and neighbour, who can help solidify our presence in the Near East.

Also voting yes to Camarilla, provided that issues with Germany and Naotho are resolved, seeing as they are close to Khuzait and are a great power in the north. Also because muh colonies.
