In 1751 the isle of Formosa defects from Camarilla to Min. The Chinese are
quick to move an army in and take control of the situation, dealing with
Camarilla's rebel problems for them.
Novgorod collapses in 1750, with a slew of rebel groups rising up for
various reasons, although most of them are religious. As the meeting
ground between the Jewish, Norse, Orthodox, and Catholic faiths, Novgorod
is as diverse as they come.
In 1751 Mexico invades Colombia for the second time, after taking
Nicaragua a few years prior.
Also in 1751, Friemann Peru succeeds in gaining its independence, putting
an end to Frittland's overseas empire.
Hueynation invades west Africa again in 1752 with help from their ally,
Naotho, which conducts a simultaneous war against Lancastrian California
and Lancashire's ally of Mexico. This intervention saves Colombia from
Mexican hegemony, as a Naothoan invasion of northern Mexico draws most
of these forces out of Panama to focus on the defensive.
In 1753 Qing finds itself at war with every country at its borders.
Spearheaded by Khuzait, the allies quickly and easily capture Beijing.
Also in 1753, The Filipino state of Sulu declares independence from
Camarilla, which is unable to land enough forces on the islands to stop
the rebels.
1754. After regrouping their armies and regaining their stability,
Camarilla invades Bahmanis and Bengal again in the hopes that they can
recuperate some of their losses in other parts of the world by expanding
their Indian colony.
Since its independence in 1750, Finland has been expanding at an
exponential rate, annexing Sapmi almost instantly and invading Karelia
soon after that. In 1754 they declare war upon Novgorod and within a year
the Russian state is no more. Another two years after that, Muscovy and
Estonia are also gone. For some mystifying reason, in the concluding
treaty of their war with Karelia they forced Kurland to turn over land to
Germany.
The revolution is here! Germany, still weary from the war and in extreme
debt, suffers a major uprising in Bavaria in 1754. the revolutionaries
would succeed in defeating the German army repeatedly as they march north
to the German capital in Altmark.
In 1755, as Hueynation is on the verge of ultimate victory over
Lancashire, Catalonia invades, citing their goal to unite all of Iberia
under one flag as the cause of war. Huey armies are forced to retreat home
to deal with the new threat, and Lancashire is free to retake their
occupied lands as slowly as they please.
Later that year Latice invades Malacca yet again.
1756, the revolutionaries close in on Altmark and even succeed in
inspiring a revolution in Poland as well.
Colombia cannot get a break. In 1757 Peru declares war, seeking to unify
all Friemann colonies under a single banner.
Naotho quits the war in 1757, taking a sizable portion of California as
their prize and abandoning their Iberian ally, Hueynation, to be torn apart by multiple invaders.
Camarilla's war ends in 1558, and their influence expands ever northward.
1759, the Catalan-Huey nationalist war ends, and almost the entirety of
the peninsula is conquered. The Union promptly declares war upon Hueynation as well and invades Huey Maghreb.
The war in China ends in 1760, with Qing reduced to a shadow of its former
glory. Qi gains the most by far, annexing nearly half of the Manchu
kingdom.
In 1760, the revolutionaries finally succeed in breaking down Altmark's
defenses. The German army, preoccupied fighting other rebels in East
Prussia and Bavaria, does not respond in time to prevent the capital from
falling. The rebels take the city by storm, abolish the monarchy, and
proclaim a republic in its place.
It does not take long for the new republic to begin rebuilding the borders
of the German Reich. In 1761, with a newly reconstituted army, the
revolutionaries invade Poland.
In 1762 Poland is almost entirely annexed; what remains is a small vassal
state loyal to Germany. The Germans promptly declare war upon Bohemia as
well. Within a year their army has almost doubled in size.
Bohemia crumbles within months, and the Germans vassalize what remains of
them as well as Belarus. In 1763 they invade Lithuania and Kurland,
quickly annexing both.
Meanwhile, Catalonia and The Union seem completely oblivious to the
growing German threat. The former declares war upon Camarilla to claim
Venezuela for themselves, bringing them to war with Italy as well. The
latter invades Yao to conquer the Sahel in Africa.
Mexico, in 1764, invades poor old Colombia for the third time.
1764, Germany declares war upon Catalonia and their ally, The Union. Both
countries are properly distracted, and the Germans move across the borders
practically uncontested.
Europe in 1764. During their war with Lancashire, Naotho successfully took
the Orkney islands. The American giant edges ever closer to Europe.
Meanwhile, Finland has expanded to its logical limit, and although they
still have no allies, they are currently making friendly overtures towards the
Germans.
Diplomacy is much more simple this time around, so rather than a map, I
will simply state the facts here. Poland, Belarus, and Prague are all
German vassals. Switzerland and Netherlands are guaranteed by Catalonia.
The Union and Catalonia are allied. Frittland, Camarilla, and Italy are
allied. Khuzait and Min are allied. Other than these, there are no
existing alliances among our main countries; it seems that the great powers
are being even more standoffish than usual. Even Naotho is once again alone.
North America, host to the last big colonies still ruled by their
overlords. Lancastrian California is suffering under a terrible peasant's
revolt.
South America. Paraguay and Chile declared independence from Hueynation
while their former overlord was weakened by its defeat at the hands of Catalonia.
Camarilla, as mentioned, is at war with Catalonia over control of Venezuela.
Africa. Not much going on here.
East Asia. Latice has annexed most of Malacca, exiling them to the far
reaches of Cambodia, and looks poised to continue expanding northward
into Thailand. Japan has finally unified, and Min is looking ever more the
presumptive candidate for unifying China.
