@TriangleMare
Alright then.

I am voting yes on Frittland and Naotho. As they can open up new fronts for the Axis, they will be a great asset (should they join).

I claim this page in the name of the great-well-not-so-great-but-maybe-soon-who-knows Republic of Latice.

1680-1698

1680, Ambrosia claims Italy and adopts the name to legitimize their claims.

Poland, having failed to gain entry to the Allies, is invaded and promptly annexed by Germany.

The Manchu are attacked by Khuzait in the same year.

Bukhara is invaded by Persia in 1681. Not wanting to miss out on an opportunity to humiliate their ancient rival, Khuzait declares war as well.

1682, the rest of the Axis comes to help Khuzait in their war on Bukhara, marching into India to deal with Bukhara's allies. While they are there, Camarilla declares war on Vijaynagar to expand their territory in India.

In 1684, with the help of their Axis friends, Frittland turns the war around against Colombia and finally captures their capital, ending the colonials' dream of independence.

1685, the Manchu have been humbled and the illustrious city of Bukhara has at last fallen under Khuzait's banner.

1686, the Axis war in India comes to a final conclusion, Camarilla having annexed all of Vijaynagar.

December 13, 1686. The Axis go to war against Barcelona, dragging in all of the Allies with them. The war is truly global; with the exception of China and India, everywhere is a potential theater of war.

Early 1687. The Allies move across the German border, practically uncontested.

The Germans and Italians soon move in to reverse this, and by the end of 1687 there are no Allied troops in Germany.

Meanwhile, Khuzait and Camarilla face off against the Union over Ukraine.

Naotho deals a major blow to Pezcado early on, capturing their capital in Cuba and then moving back to rampage about in Florida.

1688. The war over the Rhineland is true chaos. The Allies continually lose battles, but are able to bring up more troops every time to replace what they have lost. The Axis forces can win battles but they cannot break the line.

Khuzait initiates a full scale invasion of Persia in 1688, drawing upon almost all of their forces in an attempt to knock Persia out of the war and remove that front from consideration.

1689. Khuzait's focus on Persia has come at the detriment of the Ukrainian front, which is now being dominated by The Union.

In 1690 the Allies push into Italy.

The largest battle fought in the Americas was in the Turks islands. The war on these continents is sporadic and fought in small battles over vast areas. For instance, within one year Pezcado marched all the way into Canada and was then pushed all the way back to Cuba. Occasional battles are also fought across Peru and Colombia between Lancastrian and Templar armies.

Late 1690, the Allies are removed from Italy and Axis forces move across Barcelonan Piedmont.

Allied forces continue their eastern march into Khuzait, winning many successive battles against the Axis. Khuzait, having overtaken eastern Persia, has rushed their armies home to defend.

1691. The Axis begins to move towards Paris and the Templar capital, Orleans.

1692. Allied forces are closing in on the Khuzaitian capital of Sarai, but just barely lose the battle of Tsaritsyn, forcing them to withdraw.

Although the Axis continue to win every engagement, they still cannot maneuver into a good enough position to advance into France, and are stuck fighting battles at the border continuously.

1693. The war in the west turns northward; giving up the attempt on France temporarily, the Axis instead captures the Netherlands.

Khuzait and Camarilla manage to uproot Allied forces from near Sarai only to be met with another wave of armies coming in from the Balkans.

In late 1693, Frittland amassed a large army and marched deep into Union territory, capturing most of Greece. Although Frittland's army was destroyed and sent, broken and routed, back to Germany, the distraction has given Khuzait enough time to regroup and recapture much of its territory near Sarai.

Meanwhile, Naotho is forced to withdraw most of its army to fight a series of large revolts across the east coast.

1694. Latice thought they could contribute. They were wrong.

1695. The Axis have finally broken through, capturing territory beyond the border and holding it successfully. They lay siege to Paris.

Pezs rebels rise up, assisting Pezcado's invasion of southern Naotho. The Naothoan war effort has spiraled out of control as continual rebel engagements drain their manpower and Pezcado slowly liberates all of its occupied territories.

Another major rebellion occurs in 1696 in Savoy. The Italians are forced to put the rebels down, but not without great cost. The Allies are logically absent, letting the Italians subdue the threat for them.

The Germans have decided to change targets, moving against the Union rather than Templar. Oddly enough, despite it being perhaps the longest border between the two factions, very few battles were fought along the Union-German border until 1696.

Persia pulls back to retake their capital from Khuzait. Camarilla pursues them the entire way.

Exhausted by war and encouraged by the growing weakness of their overlords, the people under Barcelonan and Italian rule have risen up in open revolt.

The Germans get as far as Bulgaria before Union forces are able to finally turn them back in 1697.

More rebels rise up, this time on the steppes against Khuzait.

Europe in 1698. The war continues on, but both sides are now plagued by rebellions which they must put down while simultaneously dealing with the enemy faction. The Axis occupies Liege and The Netherlands; they also have free reign over most of the Balkans. Paris has just recently fallen as well.

In North America the war is standing at an uncomfortable status quo, and there are major rebellions on both sides of the front.

South America. Camarilite Colombia and Templar Brazil have exchanged a few blows, and there has been some fighting over Peru, but nothing major has come of it.

Nobody was paying attention to Africa again, so the Lancasters marched on a warpath across the Sahel, capturing every fortress in their path.

State of the factions in 1698. The war has dragged on for 12 years and the Axis is winning, although The Allies still have significant manpower reserves and field large armies; the fight could potentially continue on for another decade. War exhaustion is through the roof on both sides, but it is largely affecting the Axis nations; Khuzait, Naotho, Barcelona, and Italy are the hardest hit. If the war continues there may be even more waves of rebellion that occur and as the nations of Europe fight it out they are ever less prepared to deal with these uprisings.

The Republic of Italy proposes a peace treaty to Barcelona – It would give Italy the rest of the provinces in the Italian region, ones where our people are dying under Barcelona's tyrranical reign. This would result in both Italy and Barcelona quitting the war, if my allies allow me to. The Great War has dragged on long enough, and we will be content to peace out.

Last edited Aug 13, 2016 at 08:18AM EDT

Being that the Axis has pretty much won, I am giving them an ability to begin drafting a potential peace treaty. If you are in the Axis, you may make a post in this thread demanding concessions from the nations that you have fought against.

24 hours from this post I will compile all of the demands into a treaty, and each Allied nation will have the option to sign it, individually quitting the war.

Do keep your demands modest, however; the Allies do not have to accept them, and in fact they have yet to be completely defeated by the Axis.

Najd demands the following territory:

Germany demands the following territory:

All Naotho wants is the Cuban islands from Pezcado. I can't tell if they're just all one province or if they're multiple provinces. I'd also be willing to negotiate with Pezcado over this if you'd like a different deal.

(I choose them because I'd feel a little bad demanding provinces that Pezcado spent the whole war liberating. So I'll instead choose provinces I never had in the first place.)

Cuba is made up of several provinces and contains most of Pezcado's development. You might as well annex them in whole if you take Cuba because the rest of their empire isn't worth much at all. If you want to feel bad about something, that'd be it.

Alright then Naotho will demand the region liberated from us.

The Treaty of Erfurt

February 15, 1698. Delegates from the various Allied powers agree to meet in the German city of Erfurt in the province of Thüringen and concede to Axis demands. Due to the surrender of Barcelona and The Union, the Allies have no choice but to capitulate. Many countries, such as the Knights Templar, would not have attended otherwise, but are now being forced to agree to Axis terms.

Post-war Europe. Germany has expanded the most, gaining significant territories in Europe of very high value. Khuzait has gained another piece of Ukraine, and Italy now holds all of the Italian cultural heartlands in Europe.

In West Africa, Lancashire has retaken its colony from Hueynation.

Camarilla has made by far the most modest demand, only requesting sovereignty over the rest of the Guianas.

The War in North America ends in status quo antebellum; no territory has been exchanged and no terms enforced upon Pezcado.

The borders of the Near East have been rearranged, mostly at Persia's expense. Najd has liberated Arabia from Persian domination and Khuzait has expanded further into Transoxania.

The 12-year war is over now, and the survivors must deal with the fallout. Barcelona, Italy, Naotho, and Khuzait have major rebel issues to deal with, and many other nations may soon see uprisings as well, although these still have yet to happen. The factions have been disbanded, so we will now return to our regular convoluted form of diplomacy. (I have decided to treat the faction system like another League War; factions may make a return in the future, should the sides seem as clearly drawn again.)

The Republic of Italy:
- Attempt to ally Germany, Khuzait, Lancashire and Latice.
- Rival Barcellona, Union, and Templar.
- Reduce war exhaustion and raise stability as fast as possible.
- Ensure that the following idea groups are adopted: Offensive, Trade, Quantity, Quality, Economic, Humanist (Instead of Maritime).
- If the rebel situation gets out of hand, call allies for help, or if separatists secede, attempt to take back the provinces as fast as possible. If necessary comply with the peasants' demands.

Time to bring it old school style

Romania

- ally germany, persia, barcelona and templar.
- rival latice, ambrosia and
- put claims on as much latice territory as possible, as well as claims on shirvan and khuzait
- i forgot which one i had so, next idea should be quality or quantity

Latice:
- Ally Najd, Ambrosia, Khuzait, Germany and Lancashire.
- Rival Union, Barcelona and Persia.
- Put claims on Union territory in the Levant.
- Retain or adopt Humanist, Exploration, Economic, Quality and Quantity as ideas.

1698-1718

In late 1698 Germany, undaunted by the 12-year war, immediately goes about

conquering again. Their declaration of war on Camarilla has brought them

also to war with Khuzait, Camarilla's on-again off-again friend. They just

happened to be on again at just the right time to end up at war with

Germany. Khuzait, however, cannot offer any assistance, as they are busy

fighting rebels which are spawning in droves all across their country.

The Templar who, similar to Germany, escaped the war without a single

rebellion and significant manpower reserves leftover, invade Liege in

1699. It does not take them more than a year before they annex the tiny

princedom.

1700. Camarilla's armies have been completely destroyed, and the Germans

now march unopposed across Khuzait, which is still busy fighting rebels

across the steppe lands and in eastern Siberia.

In 1701 Najd is invaded by all of their neighbors simultaneously. Latice

is unable to offer up much help to their old ally, and the war is rapidly

lost.

The German war ends in 1702, and Camarilla loses all of its German

cultural lands.

Later that year, Templar and Germany would split what remains of the

Netherlands between them.

1704, The Union and Barcelona invade Latice, which had been forced to

abandon their only ally, Germany, in the peace treaty set upon them by

Hedjaz. This left them vulnerable, and soon after The Union declaration,

Persia also joined in to finally take the last piece of Iraq.

In 1705 Lancashire invades Songhai. Despite sending a woefully small

force, they still win the day, annihilating the Songhai army and taking

the capital by storm. The rest of the country would be slower to fall,

though, as Lancashire did not send nearly enough men to occupy

all of the countryside while fighting off Songhai's armies simultaneously.

The war in Egypt ends in 1706. Latice moves its capital to Indonesia, as

they have no more provinces of their culture (Syrian) in the Near East or

Africa.

Friemann Colombia attempts another independence bid in 1707, this time

supported by Hueynation and Naotho.

Khuzait, meanwhile, continues to suffer massive unrest. Rebel armies of

every flavor are cropping up in all corners of the empire. Seen here are

Tengrist zealots, apparently unhappy that the state is not nearly as

religious as they would like it to be. They are just one of many factions

circling like vultures about the decaying power of the monarchy.

Camarilla wins a short war in 1708 against various Indian kingdoms to take

even more land in said region.

In 1711 Colombia wins the war of independence, overthrowing the shackles

of Frittland and declaring themselves sovereign. They immediately ally

with Naotho and partake in the latter's invasion of Pezcado.

1713, Italy declares war upon The Union, which is allied with Templar and

Barcelona. With their allies in Khuzait, Camarilla, and Lancashire, they

seemed to have an upper hand, but they did not account for German

aggression. Within a year, Germany declared war as well, and what was a

sure win immediately became a sure loss.

Lancashire completes the annexation of Songhai in 1715. The lack of forces

dedicated to the invasion meant that it took an excessively long time to

complete.

Once again, Germany focusses all of its firepower upon Khuzait before

actually settling in to occupy their war goals. This does Khuzait no

favors regarding their rebel problem, which they still have yet to deal

with in its entirety.

Naotho's war against Pezcado ends in 1718, with Naotho victorious. They

take what they can in the peace, creating some more visually appealing

borders on the continent.

The Italian war ends in 1718. Italy loses control over Croatia and

southern Austria to The Union and Germany, respectively. Once again

Germany inflicts no territorial damage to Khuzait, being entirely content

to simply smash their armies and return home.

Barcelona falls under union with… The Union. The two states may become

one if nobody tries to stop it; currently Barcelona is far too weak,

compared to The Union, to try for independence. The De Haro family, long

time rulers of Barcelona, have been deposed and announced the rulers of

the Templar state instead, which has secularized from a monastic state

into a royal kingdom. They are even considering taking up the title for the

Kingdom of France.

Khuzait, crushed by their defeat at the hands of Germany and still

convulsed by civil war without end, is clearly at its weakest point. Qing

and Shirvan take the opportunity to invade together. Thankfully for

Khuzait a last-minute treaty with Min has brought the Chinese juggernaut

into the war on their side. This may prove critical to Khuzait's survival.

Also in 1718, Camarillan Colombia declares independence from Camarilla,

inspired by their Friemann brothers to the west. Yet another war of

liberation comes to South America.

Europe in 1718. Germany continues its unbridled growth at the expense of

all of their neighbors. Who will fall next to the Germanic behemoth?

North America. Naotho has expanded to its limit in the west, and now the

only avenue for growth is conquest, which they have proven to be very adept

at. Frittland has completed the conquest of the Mexican natives, marking the

end of the native kingdoms in the Americas. Odd that Mexico should be the

last place to fall when, in reality's timeline, it was the very first.

South America. Pezcado has established a base in Argentina as a fallback

point, should Cuba ever be taken.

Africa. Templar still have absolutely no control over the south, and it

seems that they will never be able to change that; at present there are

over 200 thousand Zulu warriors rampaging about the South African

countryside.

East Asia. Min seems to be the most likely candidate to unify China. Qing,

despite having some early successes since their formation, are failing at

the hands of Qi and Wu in many successive wars.

Oceania and the Pacific. The last of the Pacific islands have been

colonized by Hueynation, Latice, and Camarilla. Latice's main base of

operations is now Indoensia, where their new capital has been established

within the grand palace of an old island Sultanate.

Link to Diplomacy Map

With the enraging betrayal from our past allies, Germany, and their rapid expansion in Europe, the Republic of Italy is calling to form a coalition against it to curb their ruthless conquests in Europe.

We invite Templar, The Union of Three Nations, Khuzait, Camarilla, and Lancashire to put our differences behind us until this rogue state is dealt with, and simultaniously declare war to reclaim our lost territory, perhaps gain more.

>germany annexes a bunch of countries
mare:they are my greatest ally, no coalition

Accurate.

The difference was alliance, I believe ;^)

In any case, we all can agree now that a coalition war is neccessary, no?

Last edited Aug 17, 2016 at 12:02PM EDT

I refuse the request to join a coalition.

Come to think of it why am I not allied with them anymore?

Lancashire
-Request to ally with Germany and Frittland (I dont even know the alliance structure right now, can we see it?

The Bitter Brit wrote:

There is a link to diplomatic relations underneath the turn itself.

Unrelated: I took a look at the dynasties map, and I suppose that China had a very early red dawn because Wu and Qi have a familiar family running them.

I wish to add in additions to my commands.

- put claims on more Indian provinces

-put claims on Japan's provinces

- Put down the rebels in Columbia that wants independence

-Ally with Heuy and Khuzait and Union.

1718-1749

Because of the fact that most countries were involved in the same war this turn, and the war lasted so long, I have made the entire turn about that war. As such there is no diplomacy report and all actions (such as forming alliances and laying claims on uninvolved territories) have been put off until the next turn. Unless your commands have changed, there is no need to post new ones.

In 1718, the Venezuelan uprising is crushed by Lancashire troops sent to aid their Camarilite allies.

While the Brits are distracted, Hueynation launches a surprise attack against Lancashire's African colony.

In Khuzait's war, they win a close victory against Shirvan and then pursue the enemy back to their mountain holdout, effectively winning the war in the Caucasus immediately. Khuzait bows to the demands of several rebels demanding local autonomy to free up this army for besieging Shirvan's fortress, but there is still one major rebel army in former Bukhara rampaging about the countryside.

As Khuzait wins the war for the west, the war in the east is decidedly lost. Qing moves in to attack, destroying Min's entire army in a single battle.

Hueynation moves across Africa into Camarilla's colony after rapidly sweeping across Lancashire's holdings.

A deal is brokered between The Union and the de Haro family. In exchange for the handing over of Catalonia and Piedmont to Templar, Barcelona will surrender North Africa to The Union without contest. With their home city back under their control, the de Haros move back to Barcelona, and rather than adopt the French title instead presume to lead the new Kingdom of Catalonia.

Min continues to get stomped on by Qing, amassing another large army only to have it annihilated a second time.

In 1721 Latice invades Malacca, successfully stealing a few more provinces out of their grasp.

The Bukharan rebels cross the border into Persia, which immediately dispatches an army to destroy them, officially ending Khuzait's civil war once and for all.

Italy joins the war on Lancashire's side in 1722, turning things against Hueynation at last.

Shirvan makes peace with Khuzait, freeing up the latter's armies to march east to deal with Qing. Simultaneously, Min surrenders, freeing up Qing to do the same.

It does not take long for Hueynation to surrender, having to face down the superior Italian armies. They are forced to give most of their African lands to Lancashire as penance for their attempted theft.

Qing and Khuzait finally clash in 1723, destroying the Manchu army despite its superior size and more experienced leadership.

Unfortunately one victory is not enough to bring about an end to the war, and Qing follows up with more armies that ultimately overwhelm Khuzait, convincing them to cut their losses and withdraw permanently.

The coalition finally declares war in 1724. With altogether four times as many troops as Germany, it seems like an obvious cakewalk but what it ends up being is a 25 year long, actual, seriously, 25 year long grand scale war between Germany and The Coalition. It went on with nobody capturing any territory, the same battles being fought over and over in the same places for decades. Germany was generally winning everywhere; out of the 250 battles fought, the Coalition only won 23 of them. However, the front was stagnant, and nobody made much of any progress into or out of Germany for twenty years.

Finally, it was a rebellion which broke not only Germany, but the entire war. It started in Vilnius in 1743; rebel forces rose up in droves until Lithuania declared independence, then Kurland followed suit. The wave of rebellions surged north and Estonia soon took its independence as well as Novgorod and Muscovy, which were finally followed by Karelia and Sapmi in 1748. Rebels began springing up all throughout Germany as well, forcing the Germans to leave the front lines to deal with this new threat. While they were thus distracted, the Coalition could finally use their armies as something other than target practice for German recruits.

The armies of the major European nations at the start of The Great War. Being that most of the Coalition members had recently come out of a major war of their own, many stand at the beginning of the war as fairly weak compared to Germany, which had not fought a war in several years.

Meanwhile, Lancashire declared war upon Yao in 1740 and surprisingly was defeated. The African kingdom successfully occupied all of Lancaster Africa, and Lancashire was forced to sign an unfavorable peace.

In 1744 Mexico declared independence from Frittland. Without Camarilla to back them up, as they were previously occupied fighting Germans and rebels, Frittland ultimately lost the war and their colony.

Europe in 1749 after the signing of peace. Germany is shattered into pieces, every non-German province they previously held having been either turned over to another country or given its independence. Camarilla has also lost control of almost every non-Danish province in Europe besides Finland and a single landlocked province near the Baltic states, although it does not look like they will hold either for much longer.

China, still working on that whole unity thing. Qing is proving itself to be quite the beast, now that they have modernized and caught up in tech, and although they cannot stand up to Khuzait, they certainly can bully the other Chinese kingdoms into submission with ease. Also worth noting from this map is Camarilla's colonies in Formosa and Philippines, both of which are fighting for independence as with Finland. In fact, the only Camarilite colonies not in open revolt at the moment are Venezuela and India.

West Africa after Yao's victory. Although Lancashire is still the dominant land-holder, they will need to learn how to send armies overseas before they can take back what is theirs.

North America. Naotho has concluded a war With Pezcado which finally completes their conquest of the Moroccan plains region. Now that they have no more small nations to pick on, Naotho must either become content with its lot in life or war with Lancashire and Catalonia to expand further west.

The Republic of Italy:
- Put claims over Switzerland and annex them.
- Pick Defensive ideas as the seventh idea slot.
- Make sure that we have allied Hueynation, Khuzait, Frittaland, perhaps Catalonia or Union if they are not hostile. If we still lack alliance slots after that, then ally Lancashire.
- If Revolutionary Germany forms, try to form a Coalition against it, G.B.-like. Prefferably attack as soon as possible, aka. truce ends.

1749-1764

In 1751 the isle of Formosa defects from Camarilla to Min. The Chinese are

quick to move an army in and take control of the situation, dealing with

Camarilla's rebel problems for them.

Novgorod collapses in 1750, with a slew of rebel groups rising up for

various reasons, although most of them are religious. As the meeting

ground between the Jewish, Norse, Orthodox, and Catholic faiths, Novgorod

is as diverse as they come.

In 1751 Mexico invades Colombia for the second time, after taking

Nicaragua a few years prior.

Also in 1751, Friemann Peru succeeds in gaining its independence, putting

an end to Frittland's overseas empire.

Hueynation invades west Africa again in 1752 with help from their ally,

Naotho, which conducts a simultaneous war against Lancastrian California

and Lancashire's ally of Mexico. This intervention saves Colombia from

Mexican hegemony, as a Naothoan invasion of northern Mexico draws most

of these forces out of Panama to focus on the defensive.

In 1753 Qing finds itself at war with every country at its borders.

Spearheaded by Khuzait, the allies quickly and easily capture Beijing.

Also in 1753, The Filipino state of Sulu declares independence from

Camarilla, which is unable to land enough forces on the islands to stop

the rebels.

1754. After regrouping their armies and regaining their stability,

Camarilla invades Bahmanis and Bengal again in the hopes that they can

recuperate some of their losses in other parts of the world by expanding

their Indian colony.

Since its independence in 1750, Finland has been expanding at an

exponential rate, annexing Sapmi almost instantly and invading Karelia

soon after that. In 1754 they declare war upon Novgorod and within a year

the Russian state is no more. Another two years after that, Muscovy and

Estonia are also gone. For some mystifying reason, in the concluding

treaty of their war with Karelia they forced Kurland to turn over land to

Germany.

The revolution is here! Germany, still weary from the war and in extreme

debt, suffers a major uprising in Bavaria in 1754. the revolutionaries

would succeed in defeating the German army repeatedly as they march north

to the German capital in Altmark.

In 1755, as Hueynation is on the verge of ultimate victory over

Lancashire, Catalonia invades, citing their goal to unite all of Iberia

under one flag as the cause of war. Huey armies are forced to retreat home

to deal with the new threat, and Lancashire is free to retake their

occupied lands as slowly as they please.

Later that year Latice invades Malacca yet again.

1756, the revolutionaries close in on Altmark and even succeed in

inspiring a revolution in Poland as well.

Colombia cannot get a break. In 1757 Peru declares war, seeking to unify

all Friemann colonies under a single banner.

Naotho quits the war in 1757, taking a sizable portion of California as

their prize and abandoning their Iberian ally, Hueynation, to be torn apart by multiple invaders.

Camarilla's war ends in 1558, and their influence expands ever northward.

1759, the Catalan-Huey nationalist war ends, and almost the entirety of

the peninsula is conquered. The Union promptly declares war upon Hueynation as well and invades Huey Maghreb.

The war in China ends in 1760, with Qing reduced to a shadow of its former

glory. Qi gains the most by far, annexing nearly half of the Manchu

kingdom.

In 1760, the revolutionaries finally succeed in breaking down Altmark's

defenses. The German army, preoccupied fighting other rebels in East

Prussia and Bavaria, does not respond in time to prevent the capital from

falling. The rebels take the city by storm, abolish the monarchy, and

proclaim a republic in its place.

It does not take long for the new republic to begin rebuilding the borders

of the German Reich. In 1761, with a newly reconstituted army, the

revolutionaries invade Poland.

In 1762 Poland is almost entirely annexed; what remains is a small vassal

state loyal to Germany. The Germans promptly declare war upon Bohemia as

well. Within a year their army has almost doubled in size.

Bohemia crumbles within months, and the Germans vassalize what remains of

them as well as Belarus. In 1763 they invade Lithuania and Kurland,

quickly annexing both.

Meanwhile, Catalonia and The Union seem completely oblivious to the

growing German threat. The former declares war upon Camarilla to claim

Venezuela for themselves, bringing them to war with Italy as well. The

latter invades Yao to conquer the Sahel in Africa.

Mexico, in 1764, invades poor old Colombia for the third time.

1764, Germany declares war upon Catalonia and their ally, The Union. Both

countries are properly distracted, and the Germans move across the borders

practically uncontested.

Europe in 1764. During their war with Lancashire, Naotho successfully took

the Orkney islands. The American giant edges ever closer to Europe.

Meanwhile, Finland has expanded to its logical limit, and although they

still have no allies, they are currently making friendly overtures towards the

Germans.

Diplomacy is much more simple this time around, so rather than a map, I

will simply state the facts here. Poland, Belarus, and Prague are all

German vassals. Switzerland and Netherlands are guaranteed by Catalonia.

The Union and Catalonia are allied. Frittland, Camarilla, and Italy are

allied. Khuzait and Min are allied. Other than these, there are no

existing alliances among our main countries; it seems that the great powers

are being even more standoffish than usual. Even Naotho is once again alone.

North America, host to the last big colonies still ruled by their

overlords. Lancastrian California is suffering under a terrible peasant's

revolt.

South America. Paraguay and Chile declared independence from Hueynation

while their former overlord was weakened by its defeat at the hands of Catalonia.

Camarilla, as mentioned, is at war with Catalonia over control of Venezuela.

Africa. Not much going on here.

East Asia. Latice has annexed most of Malacca, exiling them to the far

reaches of Cambodia, and looks poised to continue expanding northward

into Thailand. Japan has finally unified, and Min is looking ever more the

presumptive candidate for unifying China.
