I loaded it up, and within 15 minutes it already crashed.
Never change, Bethesda.

Completely unrelated to the topic, but tomorrow I'm doing it. And I'm recording. MLP is on right before my sister's last soccer game of the season, 7-8 AM my time.
My setup is going to be pretty simple, I'll set up the camera to record on lowest quality for however long (It can record up to 44 minutes, conveniently just under 2 episodes), probably leaning against a pillow or held up by two decks of cards on a different table. Either way, expect rage to follow. I'll be 100% cool. If she decides to kick me out, I can just call the police after I walk to my friend's house (about 4 miles away).
If she doesn't freak, she's a better parent than I thought.
If she freaks out moderately I can expect that living with her will be hell.
If she assumes I'm gay on the spot I might rage.
Either way, I'm posting it sometime. I'll probably record with my phone AND my HD camera at the same time, just so I have multiple copies.
Wish me luck!
Good luck and godspeed. It seems rather cruel to be kicked out for something so trivial. Thank goodness my parents are more understanding, I haven't told them but I know they'd laugh and not have a problem with it. Keep us informed and if things get bad, hopefully the community will be able to help out in some way.

Meh…..my dad understands but my mom doesn't. Luckily, they're more sensible.

This time there are no excuses. My mom just wouldn't get up at 5:30 before and I didn't know about it being on at 7-8.
I think this is going to change the family structure a bit, not that it wasn't already fucked up with my mom and dad divorced servants of my little bratty sister…
But yeah, no excuses. Then on Monday I'll tell my friends at school, maybe wearing a trollface mask. It's fine because there are several bronies that are open to it in our group of friends (well 2), and no one gives a damn about them being in the group.
So if I have nothing to fear, and the show is on at the right time, no excuses. Sorry if this seems like a repeating speech, but I'm sort of mentally preparing myself. It's like walking into a pitch-black room, you have no idea what's going to happen.

My mom is not like yours. She is a total hypocrite. She claims 1) She doesn't like organized religion 2) She wants only tolerance in the world 3) It's not her fault my sister is a mentally unstable brat and 4) That she loves me.
In reality, she 1) goes to a church 2) Won't tolerate anything, even new drivers on the road, and she absolutely hates it when I talk about anything she isn't interested in 3) It's all her fucking fault, catering to my sister while my dad and I tried to teach her valuable lessons and 4) She claims she does but she doesn't really like me at all. She doesn't like me being creative or artistic. She doesn't like me trying to have a sense of humor in a world of sadness. She doesn't like me playing games and connecting with the world online. She doesn't want me to pursue my goal of being a game designer/coder. She only "loves" me because I'm her son.
Tomorrow's going to test her ability to cope, which I believe isn't existent. I'm not mad or sad or anything, it's just that I see the big picture and where all this can and/or will go.

Ahem……
Welcome to the realm of sorrow and darkness. Truth is more painful than anything you can possibly imagine.
Anyways, enough depressed/pessimistic talking.
I saw someone here say there's a new episode tomorrow? PERFECT. I get to show my mom AND see a new episode. That's great, especially if it's the last one I get to see on TV.
I know they have an analysis before the episode even airs, does anyone know what it's about? It would be perfect if it were something about family ties…

How old are you? I'm sorry if that question seems weird, I just ask because all I can say is that you need to get the hell out of that house. The only person who has a right to hold you back from your dreams is yourself. Keep on keeping on and chase your dreams to the end.
The episode is about the Cutie Pox. All I know about it is that Applebloom is going to have a bunch of cutie marks on her. A family oriented one would have been last weeks episode although that one was dealing with siblings.

If that's the thing with you, then I wish a huge good luck tomorrow.
I'd rather understand the sister issue: mine is a brat most of the times too, and thought I try to put some sense in her head and insist my mom should do the same, she will always be softing things up with her.
@Iambob Oh well. But wait- they're going to say "Cutie Mark" like 20 times during that episode. I'm. So. Screwed.
Oh well, that would be their initial thought anyways….
Hopefully my mom will just laugh and walk into another room or something.
Oh, I'm 15 as of the 9th of last month. Yeah… I get pretty intellectual/deep sometimes. That's just me :P

Wat. All these obscure references, I get none of them.
Well… that was a bottle of strawberry wine. That one should have been obvious.
As for the strawberry shortcake…
I dunno.
Maybe its because you're petite?
Or that you like whipped cream.
And strawberries.
Once again, use your imagination.

Other than the name straw-"berry" it really doesn't make sense. Strawberries are a hybrid species that is cultivated worldwide for its fruit.

Dude, don't test the people that house and feed you. That's a terrible idea. Not (only) out of gratitude for giving you necessities, but due to the fact that you're 15, you're likely going to have to live with this person for at least 2 more years. Unless you have really good plans for living arrangements either with her or elsewhere for what happens after your mom gets mad and decides to make your life with her worse, then I'd suggest just sharing that with your friends and not with her.
Decision making isn't always a matter of right and wrong. Power and influence have something to do with it as well. If your mom doesn't take this well (and it doesn't seem like she's going to and it doesn't seem like she's willing to change her view of the world and she already acts like she doesn't like you,) then will it be worth dealing with an even more disagreeable mother for 2 years?
If you decide to go through with this, then I'll still wish you luck, but from what you describe of her, I wouldn't test her. I don't think it's worth it.

Well I'm not actually trying to test her, I was stating that she's going to be under pressure from herself and a little from me.
At this point I don't think it could get any worse, but you are right, I do feel gratitude for everything she's done. She's given me all the basics and a few luxuries, which I'm 100% happy with.
It's just her attitude that makes it unbearable. It's one of those little things that doesn't matter at the start but over the years it just builds up and gets worse.
Besides, if she already doesn't like me, and loves me only because I'm her son, then I don't really have anything to lose if she flips.
So I'm wondering how the cutie pox is supposed to work and weather Applebloom will come out of the new episode with a cutie mark or not.
The synopsis said something like "Applebloom finally gets her cutie mark. The another. and another." and so on. You guys think she'll actually get her cutie mark or are they just talking about the cutie pox spreading?
I'm kinda thinking she'll remain a blank flank because it will wreck the whole CMC dynamic. I don't usually like CMC episodes a whole lot, but the creators were able to make afew based on their antics so I imagine we'll see more this season, too.
Wightprincess wrote:

@Berry Punch
@Owens The Super fly
Alcohol is made from the fermentation of a sugars from certain plant product. Rum I believe is fermented sugar cane by-product ( molasses) wine is made from fermented fruit juice of grapes or whatever the case may be( strawberries in this case) beer is cereal grains, vodka is made from potatoes, cereal grains, and sometimes fruit. Anyways the fermentation is caused by cultures added, such as yeast. The yeast then interacts with the sugar in the juice to create ethanol and carbon dioxide. The rest is really complex and i don't want to go into that. Just so you know, I haven't studied enology ( study of wine making), But i work in the food industry and work a lot with cultures and fermented products. Hope that helps.

Yeah, I think so too. Like a pox, once it's cured, all the the rashes are gone, so it'll probably be the same with a cutie pox.
Anyway, gotta go now. Not sure if I'll be here to talk to you on the airing.
And Steve, goodluck with your mom. Unless she flips out, stick to the brony creed and try to love and tolerate her, at least for the moment.

I'm going to try to catch the episode before work tomorrow. I'm guessing that's going to be the high point of the day… I'll probably be lurking around here while I'm at work…I'm curious to see what sort of discussions people have about it.
Ok bets are on. What is her cutie mark going to be? JFF and bragging rights.

I predict first mid-to lower tier episode this season.
I say no one gets a cutie mark yet, but it definitely leaves the door open to Apple Bloom getting one.
I could see Apple Bloom getting a bunch of cutie marks. In the conflict she has in the episode, she realizes her talent for designing (or making stuff out of limited materials…designing makes more sense, and could lead to Sweetie Belle being jealous of Apple Bloom later on for "taking" Rarity from her when she already "has" Applejack if Apple Bloom becomes Rarity's apprentice or something.)
And I think that breaking up the dynamic of the three "blank flanks" may lead to other episodes too. Jealousy and arrogance are two things that can come up in friendships, and I don't think the FiM team is beyond making the CMC get their cutie marks at different times.
Daniel Vazquez wrote:

I'm putting my bet on a ribbon for designing.
I'll say that it might be a cutie mark for something dealing with versatility, but I'm much more confident about my bet choice.
