Now this is the Pony thread that I'm not always thrilled with but can tolerate. Discussion with more than 6 words, and a good mix of images. I approve. As if the stamp of approval means anything, but I approve of it, nonetheless.

Stamped for great justice.

Yeah, Kosinus is relatively new. He (assuming he) joined us on a synchtube party. I'm glad you decided to stop by and post a bit!

I think we need more Scootaloo in this episode. In fact, I think the Apple Bloom focused episode needs to focus on Scootaloo. Because Scootaloo.

I think you may be on to something.

Below we have a simple screen cap, Scootaloo-free.

Now, here's the same screen cap, with Scootaloo photoshopped in.

Notice how it instantly becomes better as a direct result of the teeny tiny Scootaloo.

That's science.

I claim this page, in the name of Celestia.

FiMChan… let's not even go there. Way too much weird for my tastes.
I also find that people on this site are a lot friendlier than you'll find elsewhere. Even other MLP fansites can see a fair amount of aggression from time to time. So, despite being pretty much isolated from the rest of the fandom, I'm fine right here.

So, anyone up for SynchTube later?

Idunno… this is really the only brony community I've been a part of. Don't think I want to make a trip to Ponychan, even if it is SFW.

And I am up for SynchTube. Perhaps with a little bit of non-pony stuff for the lolz?

Of course no one is scared when it comes to creepypasta after a certain amount of time looking at it. Only because it is not real. When you first see Slenderman stalking you in reality, shit will change the experience will change, your will not only be scared but you will realize the fact you cannot survive the situation. Yes lazers can hurt him but it does not kill him. Same can happen with any other monster. Yeah you say now "No man I will kick his ass and all sorts of stuff." we all know it's all B.S. We all know any of us will possible run for survival or possible stand our ground foolishly thinking we can beat this thing. Reality is not a movie the possibility of survival is much more lower. because my brother knows it hes a schizophrenic he knows very well that if something like this becomes real you will be scared for your life.

Actually, once Slenderman starts after you, you have no chance of survival. That's why I want to go toe to toe with him. I know I won't survive, but it's better than the alternative (run and die) and at least I have a few laughs before he's done. I don't believe I'd kick his ass. In fact, I imagine it'd be a curbstomp battle. But still, it'd be amusing while it lasts.

Yay! borderlands done downloading!

Btw I think Twilight should be the sniper not RD. Spike would be a great pet but then agian so will be Scootaloo for RD.
Bigmac should be the brick not AJ just because he is buffed out.
Trixie is perfect where she is unless Twilight take's her place.
Zecora is perfect nothing else is said.
@Iambob
Yeah but you will be getting some high pitch noises though and will be sick. Because that's how you know he's near.

Hm, if you've seen creepypasta and haven't been disturbed yet, then I'm not sure if it's quite possible. Images may not do it for you. I actually like some creepy stuff as long as it isn't gory and it's well-done.

I have my favorites, but they are more focused on quality than than creepy.

Ok so, running down the list.

Close-up on Twilight, never found that picture scary although I found it weird that she's either bleeding from her eyes or her mascara is running.

Twilight never tardy pic, I love that picture.

Next… I want to hug creepy luna…

Angry fluttershy seems hilarious.

Pinkamina Diane Pie tumblr, one of my favorite tumblrs.

And that last Sweetie Belle pic, I lol'ed.

As for the Pokemon Black creepypasta. It has ties to my childhood too but I still laughed.

And @Algernon: I'm up for a synchtube later

I don't see the need. I feel closer to this community on KYM, Brony or not, than I would on a site with a lot more users. But if we wanted to be recognized by the community, we'd probably need to produce something as a group that is easily consumed and is of high quality. We know about high quality in terms of memes, but reading an article isn't necessarily easy.

And aside from a few users who can stand on their own outside of KYM Bronies (e.g., Gigatoast, lolstaz, and the GREAT Muumi,) we don't have great music or art coming from us in droves. Now if Muumi, Giga, and lolstaz got really popular in Bronydom like Madmax or rainbowcrash88, then they might follow them here and associate their greatness with us, but it would still be on their legs.

@Algernon
Just a way of saying that I agree with you and a synchtube party sounds great.

It may be due to the fact that I focus on quality work and avoid gore. It may also be that I'm easily disturbed by psychological things. I'm just grossed out by gore and pony sex. It may also be that I'm relatively tame in what I consume from the community.

Yeah, I saw that before…

I don't think recognition should be a main reason for wanting to compose music. Sure, if you want other people to listen to it, then it's a little more understandable. But the main focus should be to create something awesome that people want to listen to. Generally, I feel like artists will craft regardless of whether or not they'll become famous. They may like the fame and the respect, but they do it mostly because they like it. I feel like I've read comments from a lot of FiM fan-artists who said things along those lines, and I'd guess composers generally feel the same way.

But if you do become famous (and I'm not putting it past you to get famous at some point,) you'd have to be associated with KYM. Generally, an artist might be associated with a YouTube account or their dA. Even furaffinity is known to produce some really good art. But it's harder to see a place for documentation of Internet memes to be a place to associate with artists. Just people who are interested in the spread of artists.

Someone like RandomMan or DPF…even Daniel Vazquez have better chances of being known as a member of KYM than artists from here, because they know memetic spread and KYM is about documenting and research memetic spread.

It's kind of an elite group we have here, but our l337ness isn't necessarily appreciated in the community.

Because an article about Bronies and FiM isn't as easily consumed as music or art. You know?

Indeed I do. Maybe recognition isn't my mane reason. I mostly want to compose gothic instrumental music like Nox Arcana but with, you know….ponies.

There is what is critical in creating something you want. Any form of art. I started drawing, and yes, its Ponies. However I didn't start doing it for the community. Yes, I do love the fact that Im posting stuff here and that It gets upvoted. However, I started doing so because I've always wanted to but never got around to it. The KYM community is nicer than most internet stuff so I started showing what I got here.
-
What Im saying is, you gotta do this for yourself first. U gotta love what you do. I started drawing like 1-2 months ago. Look at the quality of pictures, they arent exactly the most amazing stuff out there. I draw anyway, cause I love drawing. In my drawings I simply combined what I love, ponies and drawing. But the most important part is you gotta do it for yourself first. It doesn't matter if people love it or hate it, so as long as you enjoy what you create, thats all that matters. Everything else is just perks and gravy. Continue doing what you enjoy and love.

We have a new member in the herd, and he is not a good recruit.

This brings SHAME upon our fandom! Tis a disgrace!

Joking aside, he probably knows nothing about us. He's too much of a narcissist.

@ current artist discussion
I agree
I mean I've been playing bass for probably about 3 years now (and guitar for a shorter time) just for kicks. It got to a certain point at which I just wanted to record music, so I did. I've been recording music for ages now and at the start it was all really terrible (mostly recorded with a rockband mic). When I became a brony I realised that instead of just doing song covers I could do parodies about ponies. Ever since then I've been doing that and it's actually made me a lot better at recording music in general. Before I actually started making pony music I would just record music and never even upload it anywhere but when I started making pony music I realised that people could actually be interested in it and set up a YouTube account.

I dunno, we're supposed to love and tolerate everything. Besides, he himself hates… THAT movie. I recall him stating somewhere that he's just doing because it makes him a lot of money and that the movie he's affiliated with now creeps him out. Personally, I choose to have no opinion.

@lolstaz

I actually started thinking about making some of my own music lately too. Though it's proving out to be more difficult than I imagined. Mainly because I use Audacity and record my digital keyboard through a split headphone plug, so I have to create all the sounds one by one manually. It's a pain to try and keep up with the tempo too, since a fraction of a second can make a difference…

It doesn't help that the last audio editing program I used was Music 2000 on the first playstation back in the day. And in the end, I'm just not that good myself either. Hah.

But (un)fortunately I won't be contributing more to the artist conversation today. It's already 1AM over here, and I need to wake up early to play me sum Skyrim.

Well to be fair, I heard he utterly despises Stephenie Meyer and the Twilight series in general. But a paycheck's a paycheck.

The trick is to keep at it.
I used to record on audacity with a rockband mic and cheap acoustic guitar.
Now I use a range of decent guitars, a condenser mic, a thing that lets me plug my guitars into the computer and a program called Reaper.

People like ponies. I like Bruce campbell. So I thought of a way that we can both benefit.
I've never even seen more then a few clips of this show and yet, through the insane part of sub conscience, I wrote an episode in my brain.
I'll just give you the character. But before that, I have to tell you where he comes from. He's from the other side of the planet ,which is kinda like 1960's earth if World war 2 lasted longer and the cold war and the space race began sooner. Now I'm aware that thats quite a stretch, but I thought of this as an episode for adults except not for adults. Kinda like the Batman: the animate series from the 90's. I mean ,hey It's not like they don't know there fan base is men in they're 30's. So anyway, He's basically like any other bruce campbell character (an asshole ,but really cool and likable) ,but what sets him apart is that he's an alcoholic with a pretty dark past. That's gonna be the hardest thing to get past, but hear me out. His father was basically an even more amoral and sadistic version of the medic that actually was a nazi, or should I say, still is a nazi. His mother was a addicted to pain killers and got them from the nazi medic. We're not gonna say it out load it's just implied by the situation. You can imagine what an upbringing like take can do to a person. The nazi medic preformed medical experiments on our hero for " The greater good of the reich". And yes, that does mean he gets an ubercharged heart, but this one works a little differently. It can be activated by a sustained high voltage shock. And while idle, it actually makes blood pump faster, richer, and the cells can actually clean alcohol out of themselves ( how convenient). When the "ubercharge" is active, the amount of iron in his blood skyrockets, so his skin is basically like steel, through the other assorted experiments by the nazi medic, he gets pumped up like the hulk, but an abnormal amount of blood rushes to his brain so he basically becomes a complete psychopath when ubercharged and this music plays because it's just so fitting:

I'm gonna have to sperate this into two posts.

Last edited Nov 11, 2011 at 06:30PM EST

So long story short, he kills his father when he was 15 and when he was 17 he lied about his age and joined the air force. (no one has wings or knows magic where he comes from. much like earth. and no one has those "cutie marks" and they all wear clothes. So, once again, just like earth) In his 3 years of service, he shot down countless fighters and bombed even more tanks and crap like that and got the nickname Stallion.(He never tell us his real name and to be fair, do you even care?) Even once got shot down and spent a week an a POW camp before breaking out because the tortured him with a car battery and guess what happened. Unfortunately, In his rampage he literally killed everyone and destroyed the camp. By the time he was 20 years old the war was over and he joined his world's equivalent of NASA, spent a year training, and became the 4th "man" on the moon. I don't plan to revel this all in one episode. No it's gonna be reveled gradually through out several episodes. But something go's wrong and they crash land in…um…It's called equstria right? As it turns out, equstria or what ever it's called, is located in Stallion's world's Bermuda Triangle. So, Stallion is the only survivor (of course) ,but he's trapped up to roughly half his forearm in rubble ,so he cut's it off , but not before taking proper precautions (i.e. restricts the blood flow in his arm ,so he won't bleed out and having bandages nearby so when the deed is done ,he can keep all the blood left in his body) And don't worry we'll cut away right before he begins to chop. People who have seen army of darkness know where I'm going with this. Also, by his suggestion, there's a gun in shuttle so he immediately go's for it. Why would you want a pony to have a gun, you ask? So he can do the "this is my boomstick!" speech. And as soon as he gets out of the craft , the main characters come across him and he delivers this epic line: "The world was blue, but there was no god." then he blacks out. That's goin' in the ad. So when he regains conscienceness his first questions are: "1. why is everyone naked? 2. Where the f*** am I? and 3. What the f*** was that? what I can't swear here?" Yes, that's right ,by the rules of equstria or whatever it's called, he literally can't swear it's just instantly converted into bleeps and they're aware that it happened ,so since no one's ever sweared before everyones weirded out by this. I don't know why, but I always imagined Stallion as Bipedal (walks like a human). I think it was so either the audience had more of a connection with him or just so It would look more natural for him to be able to use a gun. Either way, it might not work so well. And since he'd be a bruce campbell character, I naturally leads to him being a cool ladies man. I'm not sure how the age system works in the show, but i'd assume the main character are either young adults or in they're late teens since they have jobs. So, that's an obvious lead to many episodes ,but we all know what it would lead to unfortunately ,but I'm willing to risk it…maybe. Anyways, He get's the robotic arm says "Groovy!" and then he learns more about this strange new world he's in. Soon though he finds out that he can brew beer himself by using the materials on hand. He wouldn't let anyone else have any 'cause he doesn't think anyone here needs any and explains the dangers of alcohol so they can get it past the censors. So, Stallion comes to the conclusion that equstria or whatever, is actually his world's equivalent of Eden. So, decides not to tell his superiors back at his world's NASA (they fix the radio equipment at the end of the episode) because he knows that they will corrupt this paradise. So, he stays in equstria or whatever, destroys the radio and becomes a background character.
Whew! This took forever to type, and if anyone posts "tl;dr" , I'll come over and castrate you with a chainsaw! So, that's my idea, Pretty messed up ,but I intended it as an episode for the bronies. And, hey, more people need to know about Bruce Campbell. And wouldn't everyone want to hear more awesome one-liners! I hope you enjoyed this tour of my insanity.

I don’t see the need. I feel closer to this community on KYM, Brony or not, than I would on a site with a lot more users. But if we wanted to be recognized by the community, we’d probably need to produce something as a group that is easily consumed and is of high quality. We know about high quality in terms of memes, but reading an article isn’t necessarily easy.

Someone like RandomMan or DPF…even Daniel Vazquez have better chances of being known as a member of KYM than artists from here, because they know memetic spread and KYM is about documenting and research memetic spread.

My baby is finally complete. Took long enough. Skyrim can fucking wait, I got Forza 4 and battlefield3 on the PC.
Don't you wish that was the car you would drive around town?

Ok I launched borderlands thinking I still had my level 69 solider. (Keep in mind he has 2 rare rocket launchers on him and other hard to get qualities.) So I couldn't wait to get on him and when I went to characters…He was gone…So I was all like FFFFFFUUUUU- But then I realized I had some characters saved on my MP3 player that I forgot about so I put them in the save file for borderlands.. I launched it again and I had 2 level 58 soldiers so I'm like "things went better then expected and then after looking at the levels I was all like "close enough". So I decided to make my soldier pink and called him Pinkie Pie.
Please tell me I am not the only brony on this thread that plays borderlands…

This brings SHAME upon our fandom! Tis a disgrace!

Joking aside, he probably knows nothing about us. He's too much of a narcissist.
