Profiling a character's ethnicity based on how their voice sounds, especially cartoon ponies, isn't very good grounds for such an assumption. Besides, when I first heard her speak, she sounded midwestern.

I don't think he forgot, Ideo. I think he didn't care.

Thank God.

EDIT: Or maybe he just forgot…

I'm running out of favorites to post. I should be doing work now.

Anyway, I have an idea for an AJ episode, guys.

I believe in what Sir Charles Chaplin once said:

We all want to help one another. Human beings are like that. We want to live by each others' happiness, not by each other's misery. We don't want to hate and despise one another.

I know it makes humans sound a lot like ponies, but I still believe it's true. (We should one day discuss if Bronydom really is a subset of new sincerity!!!)
people in the FFA probably just wanted to impart the traditions they see fit onto their children, I know not for sure exactly what experience in the past they had to make them so afraid, but I can think of several possible scenarios,I'm sure that in their minds, they believe they are doing the right thing, that they are standing up for good.
Yet somehow along the transition from thought to action, this idea gave birth to so much hatred and racism, bred from their fear, which is bred from ignorance.
as for Lowe and all the other companies all I can do is facepalm and hope that I do better when life decides to test me.
but I have strayed far from the subject of ponies, and for that I apologize.
if any of you find this post unfitting just say so and I'll delete it.

Love and tolerance will be a reality, I assure you. We are as numerous as Anon but more loving and tolerant. We will succeed!

I like bangs. Bangs are nice. Bangs make Twilight Sparkle the best pony.

Best AJ episode ever.

Now watch as I post Scootaloo!

I'm going to hell for that.

Algernon approves this post.

I actually like a lot of furry art. Take this pic of anthro-Fluttershy for example:

(lol, I posted anthro in the thread. inb4 shitstorm)

I don't understand why bronies and furries don't get along better. We're pretty damn similar when you think about it. I know a lot of bronies are bothered by the amount of pornography that furries make, but that doesn't seem like a good enough reason to hate on the entire fandom. It's not like every furry is into that sort of stuff.

(Protip: Be careful when searching for anthro pics. I've seen things no man should see.)

I don't personally like it when animals are overly anthropomorphized, i.e. realistic human musculature, etc.

Also not a fan of furry porn, but I do understand that there is more to furry art than porn. I'm not that ignorant.

In any case, I agree. You'd think that furries and bronies would get along better. We go through the exact same shit with haters. I like to think its worse for furries, but that doesn't mean we can't sympathize.

You'd think that alone would be a uniting force for us.

I personaly have nothing against furry art, and even like some of them (the more "well behaved" of course).

Bronies (and everyone else) shouldn't keep fighting with furries just because it's said that "they make porn of anthro animals". Well, some bronies make R34 with our ponies. The same way that some furries also make porn of their anthro animals. One can't say a thing about the other really.

@Ric lol que?

I feel so ugh right now. What do you guys do to be happy?

Whenever I'm in a crappy mood, I just shut myself in my room and do one or more of the following:

  • Play some dubstep/dnb really loud (that usually works a treat)
  • Play some video games
  • Read fanfics, post in this thread, browse pony stuff on the internet
  • Pretty much anything else I can think of that requires little to no brain power

If that doesn't work, I usually just wait it out.

One very important piece of advice: don't try drinking. You'll just go from depressed to depressed and drunk, which isn't much of an improvement. It really doesn't work.

(It's 3am… why am I still here? Confound these ponies, they drive me to insomnia… or I guess that could just be the coffee)

Arguments regarding Furries vs Bronies seem to be pretty common. But they almost end in support of Furries.

For example here is another such debate that popped up in the image section a while ago.

But here on this forum it sounds like nobody here really has a huge problem with Furries.

I feel so ugh right now. What do you guys do to be happy?

Similar to what Algernon does:

  • Post on this forum.

  • Browse and comment on Brony art

  • Play Diablo 2/Starcraft 2/Urban terror/Unreal Tournament 2004

  • Listen to loud D&B and Trance techno

  • Draw lousy sketches

  • Drive to my mates house and get drunk (on occasion)

  • Excersize: crunches, pushup, flexes and cycling around town
  • Sitting around idling is the fastest way to depression. You have to get active and never let yourself dwell on things. Reserve your brainpower for your job/career and hobbies. Be braindead when you aren't busy

    Although if I'm feeling a bit rough I'll take a walk or a hike and blare the dnb/dubstep in my studio monitor headphones, rather than sit in my room. I find the exercise helps a lot.

    I once heard a quote that said:

    "Most wars are not fought between Good and Evil, but rather between one good and another good."

    I can safely say that around 99% of the World's population believe that they are good. It's our differences in the perception of "good" that leads to conflict, not because one side sees the other as inheritingly bad.

    EDIT: OH WAIT! Scootaloo thread:

    @Algernon

    GET OUT OF MY HEAD! How do read minds? Are you a wizard?

    I'm just going to go to bed in an hour, I already napped for an hour also.

    I don't think my parents will appreciate I Want To Kill Everybody In The World being blasted from my room. They'll just think I've gone emo or sumthin…

    I can safely say that around 99% of the World’s population believe that they are good. It’s our differences in the perception of “good” that leads to conflict, not because one side sees the other as inheritingly bad.

    The way I see it is that people aren't "good" or "evil," their actions are. Everyone is entitled to their own worldview, and one isn't better than any other. It's just how people express their beliefs that starts people thinking one is better than another.

    I could have sworn I only edited my post for one minute. When I'm done: a ton more posts appear!

    The speed of this thread still surprises me sometimes

    Its true that wars are never between good and evil. But I would never say they are between good and good either.

    Its always culture vs culture, perspective vs perspective. Those who go around blowing up buildings think their actions are equally as justified as those who invade nations in retaliation. Neither side in a war understands what truly is Good or Evil. They can only understand their own side in the conflict

    Honestly, Im not a fan of antromorphic ponies. I like ponies and humanized ponies, but anthros( such as the Luna I posted) are just weird to me. plus her love handles are creeping me out.

    Moar rant, feel free to ignore.

    Another problem is that I can't do anything fun that is involved, like playing video games or listening to music. Especially when the source of my derp is being hounded over homework. I need to keep one ear open to know when to close my tab, which makes it hard to play games or listen to music. I also can't work and listen to music, which sucks like nothing else.

    @Nathan

    All I know is that this thread shot up to 16 pages at twice speed of sound and I find it nearly impossible to follow what has already been previously discussed. We seem to have moved onto the subject of anthro art but that's going to change quickly

    @Connor

    You can listen to music and work at the same time, if you can get yourself used to it.

    I listen to Trance techno while working, specifically the calm and relaxing varieties. I found it actually helps to calm myself while working. Especially the stuff from Airwave/Lolo and Mat Zo

    Listening to Skrillex however might not help since his music is erratic and chaotic. That will definitively serve as a distraction

    Last edited Dec 18, 2011 at 10:27PM EST

    @BSoD
    I usually listen to music when working but then I get distracted.
    I agree that listening to calmer music will make it easier.
    I usually listen to this:

    two ukulele songs on one page?
    Nice!

    We're talking about what do in our derp time?

    I'm on vacations, so I basically keep cycling from PC, ponies, video game, and kitchen. Just wanna let my brain melt.

    About this "sides" thing in a war, I follow BSoD: It's all a question of perspective. Two opposite or differing interrests who decides their differences by killing each other and the winner becomes the master of truth.

    Your posts remind me of one of my favorite quotes of my favorite scientist:

    Fights between individuals, as well as governments and nations, invariably result from misunderstandings in the broadest interpretation of this term. Misunderstandings are always caused by the inability of appreciating one another's point of view. This again is due to the ignorance of those concerned, not so much in their own, as in their mutual fields. The peril of a clash is aggravated by a more or less predominant sense of combativeness, posed by every human being. To resist this inherent fighting tendency the best way is to dispel ignorance of the doings of others by a systematic spread of general knowledge. With this object in view, it is most important to aid exchange of thought and intercourse.
    ―Nikola Tesla.

    ―――

    It is said that Tesla believed that once a worldwide network that connects the minds of every individual on earth have been made, misunderstandings will vanish, and with it all the hate, racism and war.
    Now we have the Internet, but it only serves to deepen our misunderstanding of each other.
    perhaps once the world finally gets used to this gigantic new technology, we'll finally get started on building the world of tomorrow as Tesla imagined it…

    This new world must be a world in which there shall be no exploitation of the weak by the strong, of the good by the evil; where there will be no humiliation of the poor by the violence of the rich; where the products of intellect, science and art will serve society for the betterment and beautification of life, and not the individuals for achieving wealth. This new world shall not be a world of the downtrodden and humiliated, but of free men and free nations, equal in dignity and respect for man.”

    - Nikola Tesla

    but I believe I should leave it to Ric Tesla to add on it (sorry for stealing your namesake!)….for I'm just too sleepy right now…
    Sorry for the wall of text and Good Night!

    YES. THIS PLEASES RIC!

    I do try to get my OC to be much like Nikola Tesla. But I have a hard time making up the words or speeches to do so. Quotes like that is what I want to try to do. But honestly my normal child self tend to get in the way. xD
