I was reading a cracked article today, and again they mentioned bronies, but this time, the author tried to pass us of as hipsters of some sort. Saying that the only reason we watch it is because of the irony. I don't know about you, but I actually enjoy the show. That was a dumb thing to say in my humble opinion.

I'm pretty sure most of us here are not hipsters. I'm not in this whole thing for the irony. I can see how John could reach that conclusion though since the whole Brony phenomenon started with the irony, but no fandom survives on irony alone as the hispters found out. The Brony fandom has long since evolved past irony is now about community.

I'd say that on the Cracked comments but I can't be bothered making an account there. One forum is enough of a time consumer for me

I don't know about you guys, but i'm really taking a liking to Shining Armor and Cadence. One thing I've noticed about her is that her color scheme is remarkably similar to that big Celestia doll that Hasbro sells.

I postulate that this character may have been created to model that doll, and that Hasbro will repackage it after she is introduced.

I think you're letting the hatred get to you. I'd strongly suggest just posting in places where you not going to see haters. It seems to bother you more than any other Brony I see. Just post on this thread and strictly Pony sites. Become ignorant of the hate.

I know that feel of when a tumblr shuts down. I think one Berry tumblr is still up along with less popular ones, but the Berry Pnuch (what typo?) tumblr is on an indefinite hiatus. It was one of my favorites, even with the R34.

I didn't feel really odd about the Xanax in the Stalkerloo tumblr though. People need meds. It'd be different if she was addicted to something, but I didn't see anything like that with a quick glance of it.

There are no definite answers to these. You speak of Pinkie. I'm not even sure if Pinkie knows. Or cares.

But my guess is that she left, because her talent for fun-making and parties wouldn't be particularly useful or appreciated on a rock farm. I believe that her parents encouraged her to make her way in the world elsewhere when she was of age. I'm guessing that since she saw the Sonic Rainboom, that she wasn't particularly far away from Cloudsdale (and Ponyville, by proxy) so she probably just walked over and looked for work and a place to live.

Lauren Faust already said that the Cakes think of Pinkie as family, so either she asked to work there, (because working in a bakery would be next to ideal for Pinkie,) and they came to love having her around. Alternatively, she was living in Ponyville after moving out but loved to visit Sugarcube Corner and the Cakes, and so they asked Pinkie to work and live with them. I think it would make for a very happy story about finding a place to belong.

At some point during random 4am nights, I made considerable progress on finding suitable datasets for research!

I love this image. And then I saw the source. And then I still loved this image. Just felt awkward about it while shifting uncomfortably in my seat.

EDIT Actually, I think people just aren't on right now. I keep forgetting that it's late at night. It gets dark at 4pm, so there's no difference between how 5pm and 12am in daylight. I hate living up north.
