Chaos, madness, and unspeakable evil that cannot be stopped. I think I've read more Lovecraft stories than anypony else has.

I would love to read the stories but…I don't like to read much and I am more of a visual learner, I tend to get the hang of what is going on if it's on the screen, or in pictures at least.

I fear Lovecraft's works isn't fit to be in movies, tv, or anything visual. I'm surprised I haven't had any nightmares yet.

Ancient Blunders

On a bright day filled with birds and blue skies, an insane cult attempts to give Discord renewed freedom and a third chance at eternal chaos. But when the spell is interrupted by Luna, something unexpected is created.

Now, an little brown earth filly named Dyx finds himself living under the care of Pinkie Pie, only to be mildly disturbed by memories and emotions from his past. Is the filly Discord reborn or is he simply a doppelganger with a soul and mind of his own? (Both) Can Pinkie Pie protect Dyx from those refuse to see past his yellow eyes and awesome magickaishfullness? (Yes.)

Or, will Dyx be forced to inherit the mistakes that may not even be his and once more become the greatest evil Equestria has ever known? Again? (Maybe. sniff Maybe.)

Well, why would Discord bring to life the simbols of union between ponies if he himself is the tyrant fighting to discord them? As every evil ruler, he would provide to make all those things vanish from his kingdom.

Only just now got to watch the episode since Dad is a troll.
It was good, but it was filled with (possibly intentional) Narm.
I loved the drab color tone they used for the early play scenes during the blizzard thing, it gave a nice impression of the s**tty situation everypony was in.
And of course, this episode completely contradicts the very first scene of the series, where it was sad Celestia and Luna made Equestria.
Speaking of which, how the f**k were they on the banner flag at the end?
So much confuse….

Wait, didn't it just say they ruled? I don't recall it saying Celestia and Luna made Equestria.

Damn you! Why do you always have to do that! HAHA, at first I couldnt find anything bad, but then I saw it.

I've just finished reading the first chapter. It's alright, but I've read better parody fics. I'll read the next chapter after I've got some more work done.

That seems plausible. Since Discord only intended to create chaos, he could have given life to the mythical alicorns just for the lulz, while being completely unaware that they would eventually lead to his downfall. That's the problem with chaos: If the guy creating it knew how everything would turn out it would cease to be chaos.

Yes, but let's not forget that he may love chaos, but he ain't stupid: Remember the Joker? He too loves chaos and just wanted to see the world burn, but he knew exactly what he was doing the whole time. Discord wouldn't be unprecaucious either. As I said, he would rather make everyone forget about it instead of create the for the lulz.

@Algy, Greg, Dac, and anyone else thinking about my post.

The idea of Celestia and Luna originally being symbols representing unity between the tribes intrigues me – it's something I hadn't considered before. I'm not sure if I can get behind the fact that Discord brought them to life himself though, it seems an exceptionally foolish thing to do. That being said, his ego might have been big enough to make him want to gloat. So it seems to me like he might have created them for that purpose, but they got away from him and defeated him.

Or they're gods. In which case, the symbology theory still applies.
