True fact: Actually caring about headcanons enough to rage (or god forbid, post on Pony Confessions) is very silly indeed. I assumed Giga's post was more light hearted and serious but that may not actually be the case. Shrug.

The thing is though, there are memes within the fandom that might need documentation. Sure, they're usually popular for only a short while, but they usually resurface, and we as meme researchers owe it to ourselves and the internet to make note of them.

Also, I've warmed up to the canon depiction of Princess Luna. While before she was treated as a maladjusted, damaged, fragile pony with no backbone, she has now been updated as a strong female figure in line with the feminist undertones of the show, which I personally approve of.
Although I do have to say, the Ye Olde Butcherede Englishe is just stupid, and I'd like to see it done away with.

I used to really hate it when they said Dinky was her offspring, since literally the only connection between them is a similar color scheme. But that still made more sense then bucking "Sparkler"!

The only reason anyone slapped her with another kid is to preserve their precious Derpy/Dinky fanon after it got carpet-bombed by "Sisterhooves Social". Besides, "Sparkler" is at least as old as Derpy, if she was her daughter Derpy would have to look like Ms. Cake or Rarity's mom.

Some people are willing to go to any lengths to preserve their fanon, even if it means making it completely laughable in the process. Ya gotta learn to let it go sometimes people! Otherwise you turn into the Sonic fandom.

(PS: Don't tell anyone, but I tend to exaggerate some of my reactions to things I find stupid in the fandom. Gotta keep up appearances you know.)

It's true that the popular memes deserve documentation. But not freaking everything is a meme. I just hate how some bronies think that sometimes. The title "meme" is then given to something that doesn't deserve it. Scootaloo is a Dodo didn't even survive a day of popularity. Yet people still claimed it a meme. If we're gonna start like that, we might as well make every popular subject on 4chan threads a meme.

Just because a fandom is popular and gets a lot of attention, doesn't mean everything it creates is automatically a meme.

Yeah, he seemed to be a cool guy. I know we vary on what we like outside of ponies, but maybe we should consider finding brief episodes to break up the monopony (is it a pun of monopoly or monotony? Who knows…) of our SynchTubes. Magneto and Magneto (especially Magneto) were awesome.

On another note, to anyone who can't watch the episode today (for similar reasons to mine), put the Hub on your TV, but turn just the TV off and not the cable box. You'll still be considered "watching" it (since the cable box is on), and nobody will notice you're doing so. This'll make sure Hub knows people are watching ponies.

Please do this if you have a cable box. Higher ratings mean our show gets to be on TV longer!

Are you sure that will do anything. I was under the impression that a few households were selected for monitoring by ratings companies then averaged, so only people who are being monitored actually matter.

That didn't fuck up too much of the fanon. All we know is that pegasi are belligerent and that there was a time even before Discord. (Power went from Discord to the Sisters directly so this must be even before then.

I thought that was one of the best they've done so far. The only thing I didn't like was the lack of an explanation for Luna and Celestia. They were on the flag at the end, but apparently didn't even exist yet (or at least didn't do their jobs). lolwut?

Apart from that, it was great. I really liked the backstory, and I loved the way it was presented in the show. I really wasn't expecting the episode to play out the way it did, with the mane 6 becoming the founding characters instead of just acting like them. I give it 9/10.

I can't wait for the artists to make their interpretations of the real founders. This fandom is about to get a whole lot more interesting.

The episode just made me that more excited, for the new Game of thrones episodes.

Hum, not exactly. I believe it would be something like our historical eras, for instance:

Pre-Classical Era: – Division and fight between the three pony tribes

Classical Era: – Founding of Equestria marks the beggining of Classical Pony Era

Medieval Era: – Discord takes control and becomes the new ruler

Modern Era: – Luna and Celestia's rise against Discord marks the beggining of this era and Alicorns are the new rulers

Rest of Modern and the Contemporary Era – Equestria as we know now

That episode was so awesome I can't even put into words. Like, wow. I am in awe of the writers for absolutely magnificent that was. Maybe we'll get a sequel next year with more backstory? That would be even more awesome.

Plus Derpy gets some recognition on the Hub page? That's legit man.

P.S. Pinkie Pie was amazing in this episode. I was dying from laughter. Like, I got myself a workout just trying to keep from falling out of the chair. :P

ALSO, IDEA GET. What if the banner had Celestia and Luna on it because there was some sort of prophecy about them or something?? That would make a lot more sense.
