Now then, continuing on with the Spitfire discussion, I usually try to stay away from anything like that, including humanizations, just because it doesn't seem right to corrupt a kids' cartoon in such a way, R34 aside. Think about it this way:

You may not realize it, but this show's target audience of little kids is larger than one might think. Yes, it has a cult following of young adults, but that's exactly what it is, a cult following. A lot of these kids are quite adept with computers as well, and what do you think will happen if they go on the web and see Rainbow Dash, their favorite cartoon character, making out with Appledash. If that's not enough, try to recall your first R34 experience. Now imagine that at age six.

This is a great thing we have, so let's try to realize that nothing sexual happens in Equestria. Think of the children, bronies.

I recently read through every single one of those confessions (I'm pretty sure there's over a thousand of them), and I don't think they've gotten more or less depressing over time. Some personal favourites of mine are:

• This fandom turned me into a Neo-Nazi (lolwut?)
• I showed my Mom my clopfic 'cause someone did artwork for it (dude… srsly?)
• I enjoy R34. Better go kill myself. (eyup, that seems logical ¬.¬)

That blog has always been a bit depressing, but I never let it get to me. You have to keep in mind that most members of the community are normal, sane people, and it's only a small minority confessing to things like that. This 'dark side of the fandom' you mentioned is actually very small, and has very little influence on the fandom at large, so it really isn't worth worrying about.

Yet it has a very strong effect on me, especially the bronies who say they hate Season 2 or that the show has given them more things to hate.

Thank Celestia our prays have been heard and they finally decided to make another Pinkie episode. Now all we need is an Applejack one and I won't make them pay for not doing it will love Studio B forever.

But I can forsee it already: I bet the kids are gonna be a couple of smart lil' devils and will push Pinkie to the edge untill Pinkamina show them who's boss Pinkie finds a way to outsmart them.

The way I see things, they're completely entitled to hate season 2. It does seem different somehow, and some people think the show's lost the same feel it had back in season 1. I can kind of see where they're coming from, but I still disagree with them.

As for the people who say the show's given them more things to hate, you'll probably find that they're just short-tempered, unagreeable, whiny people in real life. The best response is just to ignore them. Often I get the feeling that the people who post their confessions exaggerate quite a lot too, so you should always take them with a pinch of salt.

Seriously, though, I agree with you. YouTube videos are one thing, but hosting downloads, which directly takes money from Hasbro because of the iTunes thing is something completely different.

wow, I can understand why they might be upset. It isn't easy to make a website like that, and to have it taken away like that must be frustrating. I can also understand why they may think they were helping the community, providing free downloads. but they could have reacted in a more polite way to say the least.

Well, I know it one hell of a stretch, but the same could be said about cartels. It takes a lot of work to make it work, Pablo Escobar gave a lot of money to the community, they make a lot of college kids happy. But its illegal and that all that matters. They were causing Hasbro to lose money by sharing their work. They have no right to make comments like that.

Have you ever seen newborn babies? Like I'm talking under a month old? They look like Aliens that burst out of their mother's eggsacs. Babies only start to get cute from a few months to 2 years old, the "toddler stage" is seems this works the same way in ponies.

Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with LGBTs; I am in firm support of gay rights, and I know several homosexual classmates. However, I must say that this is the most retarded thing I have seen all day. I think the "overanalyzing a children's cartoon" thing would apply firmly here, because anyone who would see these kinds of subliminal messages in My Little Pony, of all things needs to get their fucking eyes checked.

But I thought the younger ponies from the flashbacks were meant to be about Sweetie Belle, Apple Bloom and Scootaloo's age. Unless ponies don't really change from the toddler stage to the filly stage.

Considering the story is about them getting their cutie marks, and the CMC don't have theirs yet, I don't think the filly mane 6 could be considered "toddlers".
