@Ideological & Nemisis
Both very good, and interesting, views on the matter.

Here's my point of view on this:
The reported sightings of her breaking the 4th wall haven't been very active, but she seems to be quite aware of who's watching. Due to the fact that there probably wouldn't be any mention of humans in Equestria, so she probably would've been curious at first. Due to our cultures being very different in her point of view, with the large number of young female and older male fans of the show, and many other things, she would think of us as strange. Over the time, though, she would figure out we're an intelligent and civilized culture, so she would begin to be more 'okay' with it. But, since she's, well… Pinkie Pie, she would probably want to break through the barrier into our world, to see what it's like, how we'd react, and most of all, to have some fun! Which is why these breakings would have become more obvious to us. I would also include something about her discovering our existence, but I forget exactly what happened the first time she broke the 4th wall.

Oh, and I was serious about the music thing. But I guess that doesn't matter, since I have to go soon anyways.

Also, page get! (whoop-dee-fickin'-doo)

Hey guys. Let`s see if I get a page get

Or not.

But anyways, just saying that I`m looking forward for tomorrows episode. Pinkie really deserved an actual episode for herself by now, cause so far she`s just taking the scene on other ponies episodes.

@Random: The key difference between North America and Europe is this:

Each country in Europe has its own unique language and culture, and in many cases, more than one. In North America, each state or province has more or less the same culture and language (except for Quebec, but who cares about them). One of the things that's always struck me about the difference is that here, I can fly for six hours, say from Seattle to Boston (about 4000 km), and still be in the same country where they speak the same language. In Europe, if I fly from, say, Lisbon to Moscow (also about 4000 km), I'll have passed over eight different countries, each with its own language.

@Greg: Fail.

@JAB: Check your wall. And read my posts.

@ Random man
I know that America isn't technically a country, but I hate when people act as if we are the only ones calling ourselves americans and our country america. I never met a single person(IRL) In any european country that referred to me as anything other than an american. It would be really awkward if we called canadians, mexicans, or argentinians Americans as well to be honest. Its a petty insult really to call us stupid for that. ( not saying you did, but that article)

One can say that yes.

The U.S. is not a Nation, but still just a country. Each state is just seperated from each other through various things, but they're still part of the same U.S.

Likewise the European Union isn't Europe, as not all countries are a member. And even within the European Union countries are still seperated in somewhat similar ways. But each country, European Union or not, is part of the same Europe.

@ಠ_ಠ

Exactly. The U.S. just splits everything up through the use of states.

But they’re both countries nonetheless. They just operate differently.

@opspe

You are right and I can't really argue with that.

I just mentioned situations in which we aren't that different. Culture and language isn't something Europeans share yes. My explanation of similarities of States there and Countries here was also mainly related to countries that are a part of the European Union. Once outside the European Union it gets a lot different.

All I can say is that I'm not proud of what America has done recently but I don't hate it. It's better than being say Afganistan.

Ugh, such a crappy day today. Besides Walmart not having blindbags, for some reason I fainted in the isles, got sick and had to go to the hospital for at least 4 hours. blargh.

@ dac

What would Americans be called anyway if not 'American?' United States of American? Residents of the United States. However, in Spanish, American is translated to estadounidense; which is like United Statesian. Anyway…

I hate my PC; why must you always bluescreen??!?!

@Random Yes. YES! The U.S. has the potential to become a continent……….and a damn powerful one, too boot. Now, to all Pinkie fans, here's a Pinkie song. Enjoy!

As for Conor, BlueScreen is around here somewhere……….I can sense him.

Reason for this might be because it's easier. U.S. citizen or American, the second is a lot easier to say. The Netherlands actually have a similar situation. The country is officially called The Netherlands (Dutch translation: Nederland), but enough people call it Holland (Dutch the same). I don't really know what the reason is for that, it's just widely accepted as well.

But you're right about your situation. Another thing is that lot of people tend to forget South America is also a part of America in total.

Also, best pony picture is best.

That reminds me of a song. Warning: If you don't like Marilyn Manson, you should probably not listen to this.

@Ray: I agree. I saw another variation but I can't seem to find it. Aha! Found it!

I prefer to use the term north american for anyone from the US. But I agree with dack: America is a whole continent, not just a country. Therefore, anyone from across the Atlantic is an american, and not just the ones from the United States.

Random, South America is a continent. North America consists of Canada, the U.S., and part of centeral Amrica. Now if the entire landmass was one continent named America, the South America would be a part of that continent. By the way, I have Dutch ancestory, and even I don't know what's with the name.

People from the U.S. are jerks. Still don't hate my country. Just think that most people in it are jerks.

@Ideological: Well, it is the pony thread after all, haha. Also, every country has it's neighdowells (C wht I did har?), not just the U.S.

@Connor: I'm feeling much better, especially compared to earlier, though I do wish that Walmart had the blindbags since those are probably the most accurate toys, even if Fluttershy looks like Flutterdash.

I wouldn't know how to react if a non-brony used that gif. Laugh? Smile? Both? Ask why they're using it if they're not a brony? I want any figurine. Guess I could order one in college. Although…..I did receive a gift card on Christmas. And my parents don't mind me being a brony…..

Well, I don't think many non pony fans would be using any pony pictures.

I have at least two of the bigger ones that come with the animals, and a box of the blindbag ones from Toys R Us, but the blindbags that just came over here to the U.S. has new ponies in it.

I do give Rarity a lot of crap at times, but I still like that scene, she was being pretty adorable there.

Yeah, I might have to get one of those as well, but I don't dare try to recolor it like some people are capable of doing cause I know I couldn't do it.

Ideological, you lucky /b/astard. I can't even tell my parents for fear of exposure to my entire school. My mom's a banker, and being in a small town, talks to everyone. A lot of kids who go to my school's parents bank at the bank where mom works. And they all dislike ponies. People at my school tend to go insane when they hear the word pony. I already have to deal with enough crap from them, and the last thing I need is them all to hate me witha passion. So that's why I stay a closet Brony.
As for Stantz, don't feel bad about the blindbags. The only store within 45 miles that sell FiM toys is my local Wal-Mart, and their stock is usualy picked over because we're a small town. I can't even find a decent non-movieverse Transformer there. But about an hour's drive over, there's a giant-ass retailer cluster, but I don't usualy go there.

Well, there is a reason for it actually.

Holland is only a small part of The Netherlands, as shown in the following image:

But the term "Holland" is commonly used throughout the entire country, in a way to mention the entire country and not just that part. But these parts have the most inhabitants and population density in the Netherlands, so that might be a reason.

As the Wikipedia Article says: Strictly speaking, the term "Hollanders" does not refer to people from the other provinces in the Netherlands, but colloquially "Hollanders" is sometimes mistakenly used in this wider sense.

I'm Dutch so I knew this. My confusion was mainly because even outside the Netherlands, people often call it Holland. But this is just a widely accepted mistake so it seems.

True, but I'd kinda like to find a store that sells them should they bring over later generations of them since those contain the likes of Big Mac, Lyra and such.

@Ideological: What can I say, she's probably one of my least favorite out of the mane 6.

What are you talking about? Thats a huge generalization that I find somewhat offensive. From experience I can say that we are really no different than other country for the most part. that is, the behavior of the people.
About the name change…

Hum, I always thought that the term Netherland was a synonym for Low Countries: Dutschland (or Holland, or Netherland, so confused now), Belgium and Luxembourg.

How to reveal to people you are a brony:
1. Move to a town with a large population (2,000,000+ people)
2. Slowly mention it during tougher economic times and or stressful times of the year (such as around major holidays)
3. ????
4. Profit (u told a bunch of people ur a brony and everything went better than expected)

OK, here`s something: What to say about tomorrow`s episode? You think it`s gonna follow the typical plot of the main character of a series being faced with the task of babysitting, but then finding him/herself unprepared for the task either because of over confidence about how to babysit or because the kids he/she is supposed to take care of are little imps?
