everything i hate them lol u mad?
But seriously, there is so much to like about this episode.
- I did actually find Pound Cake and Pumpkin Cake to be really awesome characters. I think they were less creepy (if at all) because of the eye color (I think the previous one had black eyes and these had brown and blue?) and the fact that they were actual babies. They weren't just two characters doing random baby things. They had their own personalities.
- Pumpkin Cake would put all kinds of things in her mouth and liked having fun things about her.
- Pound Cake was more aggressive in situations and was a bit harder to control.
I hope to see more of those two. Not too much, but cameos and stuff would be nice.
- Mr. Cake at the beginning of the episode: "That makes sense, right?" (shifty eyes)
- Can't tell if in denial/paranoid about Mrs. Cake "getting around…"
- Or if tapping on the fourth wall/Charlotte Fullerton channeling Mr. Cake to answer Brony questions about Pony Genetics and was afraid that it wasn't sufficient enough.
In either case, I lolled heartily.
- The >implications of how the cakes went about finding a babysitter.
- One, There is apparently some order in responsibility of taking care of small things like foals.
- Fluttershy (makes sense.)
- Twilight and then AJ (I'd think AJ would be a little more mature than Twilight and just as diligent, but Twilight may have some knowledge unknown to the audience that would make her a better choice.)
- Rainbow Dash and then Rarity (neither seem to be fit to babysit.) I'd think that RD is the most unfit to watch a baby, and Rarity could…but she wouldn't want to. Also, it was hilarious how she handled that. She didn't have any explicit obligations like the others…she just said no.
- …
- And then there was Pinkie Pie.
Of course, it may have just been how the Cakes' wandered through Ponyville and they asked people who were closest to them, but Fluttershy lives outside of Ponyville. Obviously, they went that far, because she was the best choice. AJ and Twilight would seem to make better babysitters than the other three, Rainbow Dash isn't going to be tied down, and Rarity doesn't want to deal with kids. It speaks to the character of the characters, no?
- The Pinkie stand up routine!
- Now it has been played with in the episodes that Pinkie is at least a toon-like character within this universe if not a blatant fourth wall breaker (e.g., Walking to the right of the screen and appearing from the left in Party of One and Hearth's Warming Eve, appearing in multiple places at once during Call of the Cutie while singing,) but Pinkie actually responds to herself from two different places when the routine falls flat.
I…I don't…
- Also…I'm pretty sure that even during the "bursts of magic" baby unicorns are supposed to have that they wouldn't be as easily controlled or specific as the abilities Pumpkin Cake showed. She can levitate, levitate herself and fly, and walk through solid objects. At will. There was no shock like the one Twilight had in Cutie Mark Chronicles.
- And then Pound Cake can fly. Scootaloo can't fly at all. This baby can lift an adult mare.
- Great powers, great control of powers, and unicorn/pegasus children from two Earth Ponies.

I think lesbian shipping, homosexual procreation, and Molestia have all been confirmed in one fell swoop. JUST KIDDING.
- And…I nearly cried.
I can't think of a moment in the series where a character bawls like that for an extended time. Fluttershy ran off crying in Griffon the Brush Off, Twilight shed a tear in The Return of Harmony, Part 2 along with RD in May the Best Pet Win. And Pinkie cried at the end of Part 2 of the pilot (but out of joy and immediately stopped.)
Pinkie was the first one I can think of to bawl on screen like that. I felt terrible. And then the running gag with the flour…and the infants…and thenasfk;H sinjklx;Nkm m,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
I'm sorry about that guys.
Pinkie Pie is Best Pony. I'm so sorry Twilight.
