@Howard Stern Video

Wow, just wow. The amount of awkwardness throughout that entire video reached critical mass. I couldn't stand to watch it after 3 minutes. It was just too insanely awkward, even for me. I honestly had to laugh when that guy stood there admitting he would clop to a pony. Mr. Stern had to be getting trolled there

Soon it became apparent that Mr Stern was deliberately going after the shock value and trying to entertain through that. Evidenced by the way he goes straight towards the subject of cloppers and interviews some neckbeard. If he wasn't trying to make an unbiased valid point then that's all I need to know.

0 fucks given, moving along…

@Brony Survey Parody

That is truly funny. You can't possibly take that seriously

According to the video I'm a racist, indecisive, friendless loner, crazy person, homosexual, retard mainstream fag who doesn't understand the best pony revealing my power level and lazy about furries

Lawl!

a random drunken thought probably addressed thousands of pages earlier in yet another thread I couldn't keep up with:
anyone find the season 2 finale making them like rainbooms less?
made it feel less special.
while it's cool in a way that it now seems Rainbow Dash can do them effortlessly,
a part of me preferred that they were special and DIFFICULT.

at its first introduction I thought of it as a rare, cool thing a character I had up-until-then simply thought as bitchy could do that was cool as shit
and upon exploration of the first rainboom in ep. 23 I realized how important and AWESOME it was to the point it made me shake all over

but the third rainboom just felt like a joke
anyone on my side at all?

anyone think the easiness of it it has anything to do with armor and cadence being significant in their own way blah blah blah?

just curious

@the brony talking about clopping in the video
I just realized something, who the hell talks about their masturbation habits like that? If an interviewer asked me anything about masturbation or sex, I would tell him it's personal. If he asked me " do you masturbate to porn" my answer would be " none of your buisness". I am actually more disappointed with the brony than Howard stern in that video, actually, Howard didn't bother me really, I didn't care much about what people have to say about bronies. I just don't understand why he would talk so freely about masturbation, let alone clopping. Have some goddamn discretion man.

Actually, that was something that bugged be as well. Not only did she make it look easy, she did it while flying against gravity, something she's never even done before. It reduced the stunt from jaw-dropping aerial feat to a mere party trick. What's up with that?

@BSoD
But that was never the implication. The idea seemed to be that she knew how to do it, she just couldn't. It was a bizarre fluke that she managed to do it as a filly. At any rate, she had to build up quite a lot of speed the first two times, going with gravity no less. You have to admit, the one at the wedding just wasn't as cool.

@Dac

I know right? That's why I was not strong enough to bear the awkwardness of that video. Discussion of masturbation is something I can do with random people across the internet but in real life…with strangers…on recorded media…damn…not even I have the nerve. I would have refused to comment on questions like that so I literally laughed out loud when he spoke and how awkward he managed to make it.

Mind you it is fair to say that the guy was cherry picked by Howard for the very purpose of shocking his audience. He would have deliberately ignored anyone that would have given him a sensible answer and instead chose the neckbeardiest neckbeard for the job.

It's not like Howard wanted to provide an objective neutral viewpoint, that's just not entertaining enough.

@Cartwright

Hmm, can't say I put too much thought into that. I assume that Dash has always had the unique ability to make a Sonic Rainboom, she could do it as a Filly so it cant be that hard at all.

First time was just by accident though and she never remembered the exact method on how to do it. She didn't do it again and the whole thing was completely forgotten.

But after inadvertently using it to rescue Rarity; she now remembers the method on how to do it on queue

Last edited Jul 18, 2012 at 02:49AM EDT

@Cartwright
Definitely agree somewhat on that.
The other two rainbooms both had massive, significant consequences (saving lives and cutie marks for all) while the third was essentially a glorified firework.
She even did it on an upswing!
If had to guess as to why it was used that way, I would say rushed writing is at fault.
Being the big finale, they needed all of the main six to have some job to perform.
The other five all have skills easily translatable to the situation, but Dash's athletics and weather control abilities really weren't very applicable beyond the colorful effects of her rainboom.
They needed to get it in there but didn't want to do the whole lead-up, likely for time reasons, so they just had it kinda… happen.
Not a huge annoyance, but it certainly registered.

@Dac
Suddenly, I find myself agreeing with you today!
What is going on here?!
But, yes, I do find the guy they talked to to be the weirdest part of the whole thing.
I know people on the internet like to talk dirty like that, but I would really hope they know that it's completely inappropriate in face-to-face conversation with a stranger.
Especially a stranger with a recording device.
Given the sensationalist gold that this guy basically threw into Stern's lap, I can't really say that I'm surprised at the tone of the segment.
Still disappointed, but certainly not surprised.

@Thing That Exists Now

So, yeah…
Someone made this.
And that someone decided that STAIRS are a perfectly legitimate obstacle to place in your path!
Fricken STAIRS!
Try your luck here: TWILIGHT VS. WALKING

@Rainboom

Considering raibooms are generated by flying quite fast, and considering Rainbow Dash remains the only pony to ever achieve it, and considering she can now do them with incredible ease…

That gives me a new season 3 prediction. Rainbow Dash gets in to the Wonderbolts, but is willing to forego her dreams in favor of not abandoning her friends. It would be momentously sad, and one that doesn't really end on a positive note, but I definitely expect to see it some time. If not season 3, some season after that, assuming the show / marketing ploy for little girls goes on.

@I am drawfag sometimes

Guys! I am drawfag! This is part of my current project, working on flying cycles. Since I assume no one wants to see more Daring Do out of me, I went with Soarin', and considering the background I painted for Soarin' in the fanfic I'm working on, I just cooked up a little flight patch for the Flash build, a ponyfied version of the Razgriz Air Command Squadron patch from Ace Combat 5.

@Season 3

I'm still catching up, but I'm pretty excited for what I've seen so far. I never really wanted Trixie to return, but Studio B has yet to let me down.

Millenial Dan wrote:

As far as Fluttershy being interesting, that is, as I have said before, nothing more than a matter of perspective. Unlike what people might assume about Fluttershy fans like me, I don’t just like her because she’s cute. I’ve always been intrigued by her particular form of inner strength and the way it conflicts with some of her insecurities. Her personality has plenty of subtleties, which, while not emphasized in every single episode she appears, are the main reason she became my favorite pony.

You are entirely correct. I was reading some of the posts a while ago about Rainbow Dash, and she's actually one of my favorites, solely because I consider her to be the cutest. For a while, the writers over exaggerated her brash attitude to the point where she just didn't seem that great a friend. They fixed this a bit in Hurricane Fluttershy, particularly with this bit:

I couldn't find the entire clip, so this will have to do. Most episodes, she would completely bash on Fluttershy's nature, but she didn't that episode. In fact, she was clearly hurt by her friend's esteem.

I'm too tired to type anything about Howard Stern. But I'm not surprised.

Now I proceed to read the rest of the pages I missed. Like I have anything better to do. Jet lag is a real bitch.

@Rainboom and season finale disappointment

The finale was the biggest example of pony blue balls, bar none. They had a kickass premise, a lot of cool ideas going, and a lot of potential situations they could have expanded on, but they just didn't have enough time to do it justice. Like Dead Parrot said, they really didn't have more than the 12 entire seconds they gave to Dash to spare, so the Rainboom is demoted to some cheap trick. They had the plot for a movie and they had to cram it into 45 minutes, and it really shows.

You know what might be interesting though, now that it has been revealed that Dash can perform the rainboom at will, doesn't it make sense with her personality that she'd be pulling it out at every possible instance? I'm sure it'd be cool like the first hundred times, but soon ponies would be getting really damn sick of it. Maybe Dash gets served with a city ordinance from the mayor telling her to stop with all the constant booms. The episode could be about Dash struggling to come up with a new trick that's half as cool as the sonic rainboom, and the friendship lesson could be "don't spoil the hell out of your best trick"

@Hurricane Fluttershy

Ya, I liked that episode too because it shows Dash with some good character growth. I'd like to think that somewhere she learned (probably when she was getting her guts stomped by Flutters in the beginning of Dragon Quest) that sometimes the best way to approach your problems isn't just to browbeat them into submission.

In fact, I could easily see the premise of Hurricane Fluttershy having been instead about Dash learning to be a good coach. Perhaps it's Fluttershy who teaches her that sometimes you have to nurture something to make it grow. I think I might have preferred that to Fluttershy learning to not be such a doormat for the 50th time, but good episode either way.

I think that might be why Fluttershy is my least favorite. She keeps having to learn the same lesson again and again and again.

@Gigatoast

Oh hey, I've been meaning to mention this. I asked the "what's under your hat" question, and your answer was freaking hilarious! Keep up the good work.

Dude please keep updating, It's like I found a second (fresh) Ask Surprise blog.

I also advice you to upload the pics on Derpibooru_, it's one of the fastest ways to gain followers, but perhaps it would be better if you waited until you answered more questions, giving the impression that you are an active blog and not a one time thing (_Human DJ-Scratch I'm looking at you).

Another way to gain followers is to make an art-piece (not an answer) and post it only on your tumblr, that way the source link would lead to your tumblr, so if it makes it to EqD Drawfriend the people would go to your tumblr instead of your devArt page (You can post it on devArt later, of course).

If you are going with that suggestion, then you'd better do it BEFORE the third season starts, Drawfriends get really crowded with new episode material when the season starts. Unless Screwy makes a second appearance… but that's not likely IMO….

When all else fail, you can ask a famous blog (Surprise would really work for this one) and hope that they answer, if they do make a follow up, they'll surely repost it on their tumblr, or just draw an art piece for one.

Whoa… I can't believe I wrote all that, the tumblrverse is a complicated place….

Based on the show, it wouldn't suprise me if that guy was just an actor placed there to add some entertainment and shock. I still can't care less. If that guy was serious, he's the 0,001%.

Covering up on RM's derp (He surely seems to be derping a lot lately, losing swag? nah not possible):
It's an e-mail from Hasbro to Hoppip the /co/ asshole that made the Lyra Plushie.
THAT Lyra Plushie, yes.
Cease and deist huh… FUCKING FINALLY HASBRO.

i just dropped a question in there for you as well :)

also, i should be doing write-ups about some weird-ass breastfeeding laws we have here. and look what i'm doing… lurking in the forums and lurking in tumblr.

@RandomMan

regarding that…

i was wondering when Hasbro would take action. 'bout damn time too.

So I finally got around to listening to the Howard Stern thing everyone is posting IDGAF pictures over, proving that they do give something of a fuck.

I was really amused by something they said at the beginning of the video. "It's the end of civilization." That's fucking hilarious. Does no one else see how hilarious that is? You're telling me that after all that Western civilization has been through in the past century, after two world wars, the sexual revolution, the spiritual death of religion, the rise of post-modernism, that the thing which ended up killing civilization is a few thousand dorks who like My Little Pony? Oh wait, you're telling me that some of them actually jerk it to the ponies? WE'RE FUCKING DOOMED!

Seth Green was a prophet apparently.

@RandomMan

I don't find it too hard to believe that they could manage to find a few cloppers willing to talk about it. I mean, this was at Bronycon remember, so they've already got the more…enthusiastic members of the brony community. And given how many people were there, it doesn't surprise me that they were able to hunt a few down who were willing to divuldge. I mean obviously for every one of the people talking about clopping in the video they got like 50 "No I don't clop" or "mind your own fucking business asshole.", but those are just less entertaining than the one or two individuals who were like "ya, I clop." I mean obviously they're editing that shit to make it seem like all bronies are cloppers, but that's what the media does, they bend the truth to make a more entertaining story.

Anyway, two final thoughts. 1: I really dislike how we're becoming so closely associated with rule 34. 2: Howard Stern AND the bronies need to stop taking this shit so seriously. It's a freaking cartoon for Christ's sake. Twilight Sparkle cannot save the world with her corny friendship lessons any more than the cloppers can destroy it by masturbating to her while she does it.

@Hasbro's lawyer rolling

A little late on that one, don't you think Hasbro? The Lyra plushie has already been proliferated all over the internet, you just have to live with the fact that there is a very good chance that when little Jane's mother does a google search for "mlp plushie" that there is a reasonable chance she'll stumble on a sex toy.

That sort of makes me think…

Does anyone other than Hasbro really have the right to sell plushies, SFW or otherwise?

Excuse me, but I think I'm still able to read. I could guess it was aimed at Hoppip.

Also if you read closely, it only asks for the removal of the images on DeviantArt. Nothing about the plushie itself or the pictures on different sites.

(I wonder if KYM will get one as well)

Edit: It seems the previous version refused to make itself readable.

Here's a bigger version.

@Random

Yea, I spotted that after someone linked to it in the Lyra Plushie article. It looks fairly official.

It is clearly targeted towards the creator (Hoppip) and his images of his Plushies on his Deviant Art account, however it sounds like Hasbro is more concerned about the photographs of the Plushie rather than the Plushie itself. I notice that Hasbro doesn't just want images of the Lyra Plushie gone, they every photo of every Plushie destroyed, yet they didn't ask for the Plushies themselves to be destroyed

It doesn't say "cease and desist" regarding Hoppips work, it just demands immediate removal of the evidence that the Plushies exist. That may or may not imply that Hasbro wants Hoppip to stop making Plushies as well…or at least they want him to stop advertising and selling Pony sex toys

When it comes to cease and desist, Hasbro seems to be very selective about who they do and do not want making content that involves their IP

If you recall, IvanP91 was given a cease and desist from Hasbro telling him to stop making his artwork. But I haven't heard any word if they wanted other known R34 artists like Megasweet to stop. Hasbro's legal team moves in mysterious ways

Mymindisfulloffuck.jpg I just don't get it, the plushie, I could see, but Ivan's stuff, not so much. Big corporations, you confuse me.

Yeah, there is no telling with a big corporation, and of course we're not going to see it here if he did, for the obvious reasons.

To bad it killed him doing anything else though.

@RandomMan: If by the off chance KYM does receive one, we can probably kills the article itself goodbye, but let's not get ahead of ourselves there.

Is it really that hard to figure out? The only people who are likely to find Tiarawhy and other pony porn are the ones who are looking for it. But what happens when some mom starts looking online for pony toys for her kid and everyone's favorite plushie with a hole in her bum pops up? Suddenly rumors start circulating that Hasbro is selling sex toys to children in a weird satanist plot to corrupt America. That kind of shit could seriously threaten their brand name, and not just for mlp.

Habro couldn't give two shits what we do with their product so long as it doesn't affect sales, but you DO NOT. FUCK. WITH SALES

GUYS. you gotta check this out!

an article about bronies serving in the armed forces. in a site for military stuff, too.

the author did a pretty good job getting the topic covered, if you ask me.

needless to say, it gave me a perma-grin tonight. took my mind off this stupid write-up i'm working on too. the comments in there are awesome as well.

The creator of the Lyra Plushie was originally planning to put it on Ebay, as he saw worse stuff being put for sale there. But to avoid it getting removed, he went with a furry site that sells a lot more of that stuff.

So honestly, I doubt a soccer mom who wants to buy her kid a MLP plushie would come across that site in her search. It's very unlikely.

@Fifths, end of civilization
Stern's comment also nicely mirrors the stupidity of that original Fox News piece (you know, the one that pissed off John De Lancie enough to make him produce a friggin' documentary) where they tried to blame bronies for the collapse of the financial system and the world's continuing economic woes.
The lengths some people will go to to try to justify their hatred of a group is staggering sometimes.
(Man, there's a lot of 'to's in that sentence…)
And Seth Green has always been a prophet.

@Random, C&D
So they finally decided to try to do something about the Lyra 'puppet?'
If only someone had stepped in earlier…

@Owens
Technically, no.
Only Hasbro has the legal right to make money off of its own intellectual property.
It would be entirely within their power to send out Cease & Desists to each and every artist attempting to make a profit on MLP content, but they realize that this would do far more harm than good.
Fan artists raise brand awareness for Hasbro and, so long as they don't go into some full-scale bootlegging operation, they typically can't cut into Hasbro's multi-million (billion?) dollar profits by any noticeable amount.

@DeadParrot: Wait wait wait? Fox tried to blame the current economic situation on Bronies?

I didn't watch it mainly cause of the same reason I didn't watch the Howard Stern video, but if so, that's just to damn rich.

Ya, but that was before the Lyra plushie became as ubiquitous as it did. I'm sure Hasbro would continue not giving a fuck if it had remained some thing that you could only find prowling some furry website somewhere deep in the asshole of the internet (I'm pretty the internet's anatomy is 90% asshole, but I digress)

Think of how famous the plushie has become though. It would not at all be hard to find it if you typed in a simple google search for "Mlp plushie" or "lyra toy" That's what Hasbro is afraid of. It's too late for them to undo the damage of the Lyra plushie, it's already out there now, but I guess they figure this might send a message to people who make those kind of things to keep them out of sight.

@Deadparrot

First off, seeing my name next to "end of civilization" lit up the pleasure centers in my brain like a damn Christmas tree. Thanks for that.

Second, I think you're making the honest mistake of thinking that people like Fox and Stern actually hate us. They don't hate us, they don't even think of us as people. We're just a story, something to be dressed up and paraded on air. I mean like with Stern, he had people interviewing bronies, he knows that most of us are just your average joes, perhaps a little bit on the nerdy side I grant you, but for the most part harmless and completely functional members of society.

Here's the thing though. "Group of men attracted to girl's show because they think it has good animation and writing." is a hell of a lot less interesting than "CRAZY CARTOON HORSE FUCKERS WANT TO DESTROY THE WORLD BY FUCKING HORSES!!! HIDE YO' MARES, HIDE YO' STALLIONS!"

That's what the media does, it exaggerates and lies in order to make a story that people want to listen to. Nevermind that they're slandering a completely harmless group of people, never mind that they make their viewers think the world is a lot more crazy and evil than it actually is, it's all about the ratings man.

My God, humanity annoys me.

Last edited Jul 18, 2012 at 12:15PM EDT

@Fifths, destroyer of worlds
You are absolutely right about the Lyra thing.
Google the exact phrases you wrote: "MLP plushie" = Lyra on 9th row, center; "Lyra toy" = 2nd row, first item.
That thing became a real potential for serious harm to Hasbro's image so they decided to squash it.
It's a little late, but the effort is understandable.

@Ratings
While I totally get the idea of sensationalizing a story just for ratings, I still think that there is some level of genuine animosity in these reports, especially the Fox one.
Maybe 'hate' is the wrong word, but if they had just wanted to make us sound crazy, they did a pretty bad job.
The Fox guys all said, on air, that none of them had watched even a second of the show that they were ridiculing fans of.
They were proud of the fact that they hadn't done any research.
I would think that anyone doing some kind of calculated ratings grab would at least make an attempt to hide such blatant bias, but they flaunted it.
They could have lied by saying that they had seen the show and then claimed first-hand knowledge of why we are idiots, but they didn't.
In either case, they are jerks, but I just don't like giving them the intellectual credit of assuming it was a rational decision based on their ratings demographics and such.
But yeah, lots of humans suck so who knows?

@Lyra plushie

Let's keep in mind, Lyra is a fan given name that has not been used canonically aside from the toy line, and a small child is much more likely to want a more mainstream character like one of the Mane 6. I did some research, searching "My Little pony Plushie" (as I feel like parents are much less likely to shorten it to MLP) and didn't find the Lyra plushie until page 17 of results. There was some erotic, humanized fan art on that page, as well as a picture of a Lyra plushie but from the front, so I couldn't even tell if it was the Lyra plushie. The odds of someone stumbling across the Lyra plushie just searching for plushies for their small child is enormously small.

So while I can understand Hasbro being concerned about someone stumbling across it on the Internet, I highly doubt anyone will find it if they're searching for more innocent plushies.

@Fox News

Fox News said something stupid? Can someone please link me to it?

@Connor: Not to big a of a surprise really. Now what would surprise me is if they start selling them online at stores and such. crosses hooves I can only hope, and I can only hope that the people who complained about her on the show keep the Hell out when it comes to the toy.

@Exudes
When has Fox News not said something stupid?
But there they are anyway.
WARNING: AVOID THESE IF YOU CANNOT HANDLE EXCESSIVE LEVELS OF UNCHECKED STUPIDITY!
THEY ARE BEING PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY!

And the worst one of the bunch.
I'm usually pretty calm with criticism, but the stuff he says to Nicole Oliver is just absolutely disgusting and disrespectful in every possible way.
This is why Fox was banned from June's Bronycon.

Edit:
Oh, and right on time, more Howard Stern!
Might as well consolidate all of this junk to a single post:

@ Delta Two-Six

Thanks for that link dude! Priceless. I live in a military town, and couldn't really see any of these infantry guys being bronies. Then…BOOM, this article.

That awkward moment when fifteen grown soldiers interrupt Tara Strong to sing "Twilightlicious." Loved it.

Also, I guess that soldier with the cutie mark patch knows who best pony is!

Wow, looking back at the last few pages shows how much coverage the Brony fandom is getting from the media. From Howard Stern to the Colbert Report to the New York Times. Uh, good job everyone! Stay classy, though. ;)

@cease and desist letter: Well, it finally happened. About time Hasbro stepped in too.

@Rainboom: A fair point. Though you know how Rainbow Dash is always trying to be better. Now that she's got the Rainboom down pat it's time to look to the skies and do something so awesome it may very well be time to try something so awesome it has a chance of breaking space-time itself.
(i.e. here's hoping Rainbow does something even more ludicrously badass in Season 3)

@DeadParrot: Yes. Joker likes ponies.
Let's see the Reapers come up with a defense against that now.

@DeadParrot

Fox's ignorance and stupidity never fails to make me cringe (or on occasion, rage with the force of a thousand suns) but for those ratings? yeah, they're willing to spew out absolute bullshit.
as Howard Stern..

he can piss and rant like a biased moron, for all i care. as if the crap he's trying to pull is gonna succeed. we won against Fox before. i'm pretty sure we'll win against him too. man, humans today.

now, moving on..

@Krebs
you're welcome. actually found that link in the comments section over in the KYM MLP page. i just decided to share it here. being a military buff myself, that was one of the FEW good things that actually made me grin like an idiot today. the comments in that article (except for the first one, who sadly, can't even spell for crap) are pretty dang positive about it too.

also, i want a cutiemark patch. preferably Twilight's (yeah, obvious Twifag here lol)

Stern is just trying to get negative attention, and it's working, he got a warning from the people at comic con, and mail from many bronies stating how what he talked about was only the minority of the fanbase… what does he do? Laugh at it… yeah, we should probably not give a fuck about him, as much annoying as it is.

Granted, we don't have much to talk about since it's between seasons, but why do we always talk about 1)" someone is talking shit but I don't fucking care that these shit heads hate us" 2) cloppers. Can't we just have awkward futashy pet discussions or whatever? Plz peepol plz

@Delta
If you're looking for patches, I found a few possibilities for you.

LINK 1

LINK 2
Look around a little more and you'll be able to find even more options.
If there's one thing this fandom is good at, it's creating things so there is no shortage of stuff like this out there.
A lot of the artists will also do custom commissions if you're looking for something more specific.
Happy hunting!

@Dac
Futashy?

Yup, bored with this. However, Futashy is not only porn-related, it's bestiality too, so it's kind of weird that you would bring that up as an alternative. Besides, we already talked about that.

Let's talk about military bronies some more.

That image with the soldier wearing the Rainbow Dash patch had me wondering; do you think our military members are actually more accepting of open MLP fan-ness than the civillian population? From the comments on the military article, I would almost have to say it looks like they are.

Hey, come on. That person clearly meant Tank from MLP. You know, Rainbow Dash's pet. The turtle tortoise. With the propeller flying thingy. That's the same as yours. You know, Tank. Him. The awesomest pet (fitting for the awesomest pony) in Equestria.

I'm sort of surprised that Hasbro would take action against anything in the fandom. However, in this case, I feel like it is justificable to a certain extent, as the Lyra plushie was potentially quite harmful to their public image (I doubt it, but you know legal departments).

Speaking of which, what exactly happened to Ivan? Why would he receive a cease and desist letter for drawing r34 stuff? There's plenty of these kinds of artists out there. Why target him alone? Is that why he disappeared from the forums? Why, Hasbro, why?

Haven't watched more than a minute of the Howard Stern thing, but by judging from his entire career, he's probably doing this purely to create massive amounts of controversy, and hence get a lot of publicity and press. I really doubt he's being serious, but in any case, we should probably just ignore his stupid, baseless, biased, and prejudiced complaints about MLP.

Well, I was ready to forget the Howard Stern thing, but then this:

The gauntlet has been thrown!

As much as I would like to hear Tara's take, Stern really isn't looking for a rational discussion.
He cherry-picks for shock value.
He has no interest in a 'different perspective.'

@Twins, to Gigatoast

As I said in a steam chat, we shouldn't pay attention to Howard Stern. He mainly focuses on the cloppers. Fuck, he could do that with any other fandom to "make them look bad", all fandoms have an R34 side to it. Let's take TF2 for example, it has a fandom and R34 with it. Go ahead and go on Deviantart, type in "pyro" and the first image that pops up is a R63 Pyro in black boots and a flamal bikini. Howard Stern could go to Comic Con and only talk about the people fap to TF2 characters, and they would sound "bad". He's complete bias, in fact, I wouldn't be surprised if he just handpicked the cloppers in Comic Con to ask questions about the show and the R34.

@Armybronies: I wonder if there's any Canadian Forces members who watch MLP… it's a pretty long shot, but still a shot nonetheless…
Also it would make sense for an airman to wear a Rainbow Dash patch. It would make the most sense for a fighter pilot to do so, because GOTTAGOFAST, but then again I'm not going to go much further on that subject.

@Tara Strong's Twitter offer

…

I refuse to believe Tara Strong is a woman, not after this amazing display of balls. Here is Stern going on this ignorant tyrade about how bronies are all weirdos and cloppers and she's stepping up to dive right into that, risking her own reputation in order to defend us. I find it hard to put into words how impressed I am by this, what a good person.

Remember this November to reelect Tara Strong as Brony Queen, she's more than earned it.

@Dan

Of course the military is more open to bronies. Remember that the military is composed of young men in the brony age demographic, so even if they aren't into mlp, I think it's easier for them to understand where exactly we're coming from.

This just in, Tara Strong unlikely to ever lose her title as coolest person alive.

@Military bronies

I have a good buddy who's on an F-15 maintenance crew, and he's down with My Little Pony. He doesn't watch it, and he admits he doesn't have an eye for good animation, but he acknowledges that it's a pretty entertaining show, and when he realized there was a fandom he thought it perfectly logical that I would spend every waking hour of my life animating colorful horses.

Military people are cool people. I grew up on military bases, and the definition of a cool guy is the guy who steals your squadron's themed car and leaves it on cinder blocks at a gas station on the Idaho-Utah border. They're all good friends, and they wouldn't be judgmental about another's choice in television programming / use of Internet time. The only thing about NavyBrony's patch that strikes me as odd is that he's somehow managed to get away with his own patch. Maybe being a rescue swimmer comes with different rules, I dunno.

Yeah, sorry Tara, you're not going to through to Stern, or to the media sadly. As it's been pointed out, they're not looking for rational people to talk to cause that don't get the ratings.

Sad thing is though, it's not just this fandom, it's all fandoms, but you know, let's ignore that, though I wouldn't doubt that Stern probably at one point interviewed the Trekkies and tried doing the same thing to them as well.
