@Bruno, that's from Equestria Girls actually.

Is your body ready for Kora, or for page 64. Congrats on the page GET.

And now, in honour of that number, I declare a Nintendo thread!

My old N64. Brings back some great memories. Its still in working condition.
A lot of games are missing though. All I could find with it are: GoldenEye 007, Perfect Dark, Pokemon Snap, Vigilante 8 and Super Mario 64. Not sure where the rest of the games are and now I gotta find 'em.

@N64
Glad to see everyone saved their N64 console. I didn't use it a lot when I was little though. And I only have two games on it: Perfect Dark & Star Wars Episode I Racer
Here's a Perfect Dark pony:

@N64 thread
I remember when I first got my old 64. When I was a kid I asked for a Playstation for christmas, but I got a Nintendo 64 instead. Boy I'm glad my parents made that mistake. SO many good games and SO much time playing them. If I still had my N64, I'd be playing it right now (but my sister has it and she still plays on it).

@Best Pony vote

Can we have a link to that? When Twilight becomes officially best pony, I want to be able to say that I helped to make it happen.

No link yet, just the picture announcing it. We'll probably see a link when they start advertising on TV or something.

Also, went on the Hubworld to see if there was a link for the vote but instead saw the thing about 'Sing along Saturdays' and it has a listing for the songs they'll be playing and of course one of them is Magical Mystery Cure…..Lol. Well apparently to have you get ready they have videos of the song they'll be playing and of course it's not like they'd play ONE song from the episode and no other songs so they basically have half the episode on the website right now. Just found that a little interesting.

@Nintendo 64
Never had one of those. We did have a NES until a bunch of years ago, with a bunch of games, and a 365 (something near that) in 1 cartridge.

@Jimmy
Pinkie's Adventure? I'd so play that, my favourite NES game, combined with ponies gotta be amazing

Well, if we're gonna list our game systems, I have:
A NES
A SNES
An N64 (US model, mentioned above)
A Gamecube (limited edition platinum one, one of my prized possessions
A Wii U
A PS1
A PS2
An Xbox 360 (I had another but it RRoD'd two or three times)
A Mega Drive (Euro Genesis, up in the attic)
A Game Boy
A Game Boy Advance
A Game Boy Advance SP
A Game Boy Micro
2 3DSes (one Euro, one US)
A PSP
A 3DO
And a broken DS Phat

Yep…

I didn't get a game system until 1998 when we got a PS1. But I remember before we got that thing my next door neighbor got a Super Nintendo for his birthday in 1998 and we played that thing all the time. Then we got a PS1 in 1998 and a Nintendo 64 in 1999 from my Grandma…..the day she died…..on Easter……that was a horrible Easter.

Then in 2001 we got a Playstation 2 but my sister was convinced that it was hers so I didn't get to touch it, then in 2002 my Grandpa got me a Gamecube….and he died a few days later….I made sure to tell my other grandma and grandpa (and other old people) to not buy anyone video game systems because they would die……………Then I got a Wii on the day it was released and an Xbox 360 back in 2009. Already preordered a PS4 and finally got a (slight) gaming PC.

Pony.

The first system we had (as far as I remember) was the NES. Apperently, my parents had it modded, so it could play that lots-of-games cartridge.
They sold the NES years ago, and got a PS2 Slim, which we still have.
We got a Wii for Sinterklaas a few years ago.

As for handhelds, I used to have a purple gameboy colour, a gameboy advance SP, and now I have a DS Lite.
That was about it, not a lot, but enough to have a lot of fun with.

@Bruno
That was interesting.
Most of the names people shouted out have songs according to MK (Luna, Scratch, and a few others,
I didn't really got this sentece. Does it mean that Luna and Scratch get songs?
If so, then

Also, that Celestia image was freaking adorable

I started out with a SNES, for which I had various vidya. My favorite game was undoubtly Lufia II. It was the only game I had available in Dutch (and tiny RM wasn't an expert in English yet), and it ignited my love for the JRPG genre. Outside of that I had all the classics for it: Zelda: LttP, Super Mario World, Mario Kart, Yoshi's Island, Donkey Kong, etc.

I skipped the N64 gen, unfortunately, but I was still young and didn't care much. So games like Majora's Mask were forever out of my reach. I did buy a Gamecube though, and had all the classics for it EXCEPT ONE (Legend of Zelda: Windwaker), but things like Mario Kart: DD, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Paper Mario, Twilight Princess (Gamecube edition yes, where Link's left-handed as it should be), were all within my posession.

After that I stepped away from Nintendo, which was both unfortunate and fortunate, because I needed that change. The other consoles offered better games within my style. I bought a Xbox 360, partly because friends had one as well. Somewhere along the route my aunt won a Wii, and she donated it to my little sister. So I still played the Wii games like Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, regular 2-D Mario.

As for the future gens, still doubting. Most likely I'll buy either an Xbox One or PS4 (and as the One isn't shit anymore, chances are I'll go with that (same reason: friends)), and I'll buy a Wii U alongside it to play games like Zelda and Super Smash (but I'm waiting until it's cheaper first and the good games come out).

What was the thread about again? Oh yeah, ponei.

(My undoubtly favorite game for the Xbox 360: Eternal Sonata. And the artist of the above piece is our very own Muumi (and I still love him for making such a piece))

Yep, first up is a much closer video than before so you can really see the art much better.

Now, if you look in the bottom right corner, the first numbers are all '40X' which is almost guaranteed to be an episode number.
Thus, Scootaloo's deal will be episode 5, The Power Ponies will be in episode 6, the Apple song is episode 9, and that whole Twilight and Nightmare Moon thing?
Yeah, that's episode 1!

One by one:

Yeah, I don't think it's any secret that I've been hoping for this for a long damn time.
I can't even say how much I'm looking forward to this episode now, probably more than any of the others that were shown.
(And to be clear, I'm not excited because the idea is similar to my story. I wrote my story because I liked the concept and just never thought the show would go there. I love being wrong sometimes.)
Anyway, Mrs. Harshwhinney was mentioned meaning that this should be a continuation of the Equestria Games thread from the end of season three.
Sounds like it will be like the Olympics with each town (rather than each country) having their own processional or presentation.
Sounds like an alright backdrop for what I hope will be an awesome and emotional Scootaloo adventure.
I have no clue how they are going to resolve it (i.e. Will Scoots eventually fly or not) but I can't wait to see it!

This got the biggest reaction from the ComicCon crowd, for obvious reasons.
From the way Spike wakes up, I'm guessing this will be some kind of dream/hallucination thing, but it looks epic nonetheless.
And yes, 'Power Ponies' and the strikingly Sedusa-esque villain both really harken back to Powerpuff Girls which is awesome!

This is a great little song!
Very 'Apple.'
If I had to guess based on things we've heard so far, the fact that Pinkie is with them and singing a song about family suggests that this will be part of the episode where Pinkie reunites with her sisters (which the Hub tweeted as an episode premise earlier).
Knowing the show and seeing the jovial attitude of the song, I'm predicting that the meeting won't go so well at first.
Should be very interesting to see.

And the big one:

First of all, EPIC!
I will never get tired of Tabitha's evil laughter.
Anyway, as I said before, I'm betting that this scene is a flashback from Celestia's perspective being shown to Twilight.
(Think of The Pensive scene in Harry Potter)
Since it also seems to be the first episode of the season, I'm going to guess that this may be part of Celestia showing Twilight that becoming a Princess is not all sunshine and rainbows.
I can only hope and imagine that this will give some interesting backstory and development to Celestia and Luna, while simultaneously helping Twi.
Looks like a great way to really tackle the Twilicorn thing head-on.

The next four months are going to be really tough to wait through now!

And for those who may be avoiding spoilers (as awesome as they may be), have a song:

I can't believe the power this show has to stir my emotions. And here I thought I was starting to get over my obsession with pony.

Oh boy, is it time for me to whip out my SuperPAC again?

This August, vote for the pony who Pinkie Pie declared "best pony." The pony who's so loving and kind, she gets 300 post threads on /mlp/. The pony who was a lock in for Thread Title regardless of which option was taken.

Vote Twilight Sparkle as best pony. Let adorkableness reign.

Paid for by the Ponies For Prosperity SuperPAC, a non-profit organization

That reminds me, the mod-imposed Military Junta never did tell us why they choose "Live Free or Twi Hard" over "Twilight Sparkle and the Deathly Hasbro".

@Season 4 Hype Train

I'm a bit upset they're going with the "Scootaloo's disabled" plot. Not just because of the tsunami of feels the episode, fanfics, and comics will generate or the fact that it's now almost guaranteed there won't be a "Dash teaches Scootaloo and Twilicorn how to fly episode", but also that a world filled with magic and fairly advanced medicine wouldn't be able to fix whatever defect Scoots has. They can make a turtle/tortoise fly for Pete's sake.

The reference to Miss Harshwhinny implies we'll be seeing more of the Equestria Games and that means more Crystal Empire. It's good they're not just going to completely abandon that plot like they've done to certain others *cough*Babs Seed*cough*

It also appears DATASS (DiAmond Tiara And Silver Spoon. Don't blame me, it's a TV Tropes acronym) have transcended bitch status and achieved c**t enlightenment.

The superhero plot is interesting, but it seems a bit wasteful. I'd rather have an episode about [insert worldbuilding/slice of life that won't be in S4] that provides more depth than an episode that more than likely takes place entirely inside of Spike's head and will have absolutely no bearing on the rest of the show.

The Applejack song with what I'm guessing is one of Pinkie's sisters (since there's gonna be an episode where she visits) was nice. I just hope the episode will be more exciting and interesting than Apple Family Reunion was.

The big plot is, of course, Nightmare Moon. Basically, what Deadparrot said. I can't believe how many people think Luna's going evil again when she specifically says she's jelly of "your precious light." IT seems like we're finally, after all these years, gonna get to see what happens. The fanfics will be crippled. What wasn't destroyed by Twilicorn will most certainly be by this.

And, continuing to "parrot" what Deadparrot said (rimshot), I do think that it's a memory spell Celestia and Luna are pulling on Twilight to show her the dangers that being a (possibly) immortal alicorn princess with massive power can have and how one must be responsible. [insert Spiderman moral].

All in all, pretty good. That's just four episodes. There's still twenty-two more we don't know about.

@Above

There are just too many wins and feels through all that for me to parse through. I am therefore going to make a generic statement of approval that you can all affix your own sense of excitement to:

yay!

I think I'm slowly turning into a horrible horrible person when I see people complaining how future episodes kill their fanfictions and all I can think of is saying "Good". Personally I can't wait for that, since it'll obviously be season premiere (Yeah, they'd save the Birth of Nightmare Moon for episode 17 that's for sure, too dark for the slice of life episodes) but I'm thinking that'll probably just be a short scene where Twi just goes back to that moment and goes right back to present day before anything besides Luna going Nightmare happens. Interested to see where they'll go with the two parter…..what if they don't even use a villain? Always a possibility.

For the song, I mainly skipped through it because I can't even think of how many times I watched the Failure song and Ballad of the Crystal Ponies in the months before Season 3. Then of course there was the Smile song, Babs Seed song and the the two songs that were released before the finale and of course True True Friend which was leaked a week before the finale, listened to all those songs so many times that when the episodes actually premiered…..it just wasn't the same….well except for Smile where we didn't get to see what the animation was at it was just leaked audio and we didn't know which episode it would air with (Until you read the synopsis for A Friend in Deed).

As for the Q&A, YES we're finally getting a confirmation on a Soundtrack, not like last year where it was "Maaaaaaaaaaybe". Another one I liked was "Is Derpy going to be gone forever?" "Don't believe everything you read on the internet", yes I get my Where's Derpy Cameos back again! Finally, inspecting the background will finally have a delightful outcome for the first time since…….Canterlot Wedding.

Oh god, the feels from those spoiler clips. HNNNNNNNG.
God dammit, I should be focusing on getting together college tuition and preparing for the upcoming semester (hence my absence) and now I come on here for 5 seconds and have "Apples Forever" stuck in my head all day.

I finally found out what's more fun then pony shitstorms. People crashing into your family's silver car.

And then hiding a marijuana pipe under your family's van.

And then driving slowly around your house half a dozen times an hour after the accident to recover said pipe

To keep this on-topic, which one of the Mane Six would be most likely to panic after a crash and poorly hide their pipe? My money's on Dash. Not only would she smoke to "relax" before a flight and has a history of crashing, but her impulsiveness means she'd act before thinking.

Last edited Jul 21, 2013 at 05:49AM EDT

@xTSGx
Definitely Dash.

Should she:
A. Tell Applejack what happened and offer to harvest more apples.
B. Tell Applejack and gather her friends to help make reharvesting fun.
C. Go back, grab the marijuana pipe and run.

Last edited Jul 21, 2013 at 06:20AM EDT

@TSG

Dash. Without a doubt

And she would pick C out of those options.

Then she does something stupid, gets caught by Twilight and is forced to write another letter to Celestia

Also I must be the only one here that never had the joy of playing Nintendo games

Last edited Jul 21, 2013 at 06:55AM EDT

I'd actually say Fluttershy. I mean….it's Fluttershy. She cries more out of fear than Rarity cries out of Drama. You guys are telling me, Fluttershy wouldn't be the one to literally start breaking down the second she gets into a crash and then get EVEN WORSE when she realizes she has to hide a pipe as well.

@BSoD Writing a letter to Celestia over poorly hiding a Marijuana pipe? Hmm.
"Dear Princess Celestia,
Today I learned that friends don't plant marijuana on other friends during an accident. I'd like to say more about what I learned, but all I learned was how bad it was and how strict your laws against drugs are. See you in about 15-20 years.

Your Incarcerated Subject,
Rainbow Dash"

vintiezre wrote:

I wonder what superheroes the Mane Six would be expies of.

If we're going Marvel…

Applejack = Captain America
Rainbow Dash = Thor
Twilight Sparkle = Iron Man
Pinkie Pie = Hulk
Fluttershy = Hawkeye
Rarity = Black Widow

But if we're doing DC…

Applejack = Batman
Rainbow Dash = The Flash
Twilight Sparkle = Raven (Fuck yeah Teen Titans.)
Fluttershy = Aquaman
Rarity = Wonder Woman
Pinkie Pie = Um… shit. I should have emailed WWinnieF.
