I might as well be the only human being who liked Independence Day at all. I just hope the second one is not shit. What I liked about the first one were the alien and vehicle designs, but I was left with so many questions. We are never given an explanation of their motives or their origins.

Nah bruh, there are plenty others, in fact, we watched Independence Day while there was a thunderstorm outside at night. Right when the aliens take over, lightning struck close to the house and tripped the power which was a "holy fuk" moment.

While the topic is up, I'm just sad Will Smith's not returning to the sequel. A timeline on the official website actually explains that, in-universe, Will Smith's character died between movies as a result of an accident with reverse engineering the alien weapons. Obviously the real situation is Smith probably couldn't return due to playing Deadshot in the upcoming Suicide Squad movie, and he's probably been wanting to star in a comic book movie for a long time now.

On topic… well I don't know what to say really.

While it would've been nice to have Will Smith back, I can't help but have the feeling that he would've tried to get his untalented offspring involved somehow, so I think it's for the best this way.

And more on topic, I'm glad to see a few more big name people speaking out against the BS.

Look at me, i dont like Independence Day 2 as much as the next guy, i think Mars Attack was a superior film and the ending was better.

But that is just plain insane.

Notch said he was neutral, but by doing this, he became an enemy of this nutjobs.
Kinda sad this is the world we live now.

Here's the rant in its full glory (and I put it under the #FullMcIntosh gallery) enjoy the madness that is McIntosh.

Nice to know that he's a voice of "reason"

Oh as for Notch being a SuperSecret leader? He said so a few months ago

I can not believe that, in the 21st century, that there exsists a man this stupid that he thinks a website promoting a movie is also promoting the military.

There has to be a reason for this, because i refuse to believe someone is that retarded

So guys remember when the PPG reboot? well……take a look at this

Eh, we've seen it before. (this happened almost 10 years ago.) He's been very Anti-Government. From what I can gather what this screencaps could mean is that the US army is using Facebook metadata to look at potential willing recruits (Usually metadata that's defined in the sign up. Usually age, gender…)

The FullMcIntosh happens when he goes on about it being a brainwashing technique to mask history's atrociti- (AHAHAHAHAHA! Sorry.) This is really stupid to explain, but then again the only person able to, truly, go FullMcIntosh is McIntosh.

Actually I find it ridiculous that the guy gets so scared about something the military has been doing for decades. They will do anything they can to attract new recruits and love to get involved in military related entertainment to get a good image. And if there was something concerning based on that it could be America's Army since it was literally developed by the military, but if you ask me I find that game rather amusing in concept since it tries to be an accurate portrayal of the military experience instead of a one man army, happy trigger, almost magical, American hero story portrayed in most military games.

Blood Omen 1 and Eternal Darkness director Denis Dyack blames unethical journalists for Shadow of the Eternals almost being completely killed off

For those that don't know, Shadow of the Eternals is a project Dyack and other former Silicon Knights employees started a couple of years ago as a spiritual successor to Eternal Darkness, and the project was to me made for PC and the Wii U (I think they said other consoles weren't out of the question, but Wii U was a lead platform because of the fact Eternal Darkness was a Nintendo exclusive project due to it being made during that period of time Silicon Knights was a second party dev to Nintendo). The project is being revived under a new company found by Dyack and other former Silicon Knights people.

Dyack specifically puts blame on sources like Kotaku and Jim Sterling, saying they basically attempted to sorta "slander" Dyack and his days at Silicon Knights in order to make sure the project died.

I will be honest though and say this much: Dyack needs to let whatever grip on Blood Omen 1 he still has just go already, I want to see the game on GOG so I can finally have the full Legacy of Kane collection on PC. Whatever old contract he, Eidos/Square-Enix and Crystal Dynamics made years ago needs to be what really dies already.

I agree with you on the Legacy of Kain incompleteness on GOG (I still can't get to run Soul Reaver on Win Vista or 8 so I haven't purchased the rest, but an incomplete saga make me feel even less compelled to purchase)

On the Shadow of the Eternals thing, I hope it will exist, it makes it to PC, and to get it on GOG. I always wanted to play Eternal Darkness, I read good things about it on a local nintendo magazine called Club Nintendo, and many of my friends including one fo my top five best friends in all my life played ti and told me I should buy a Game Cube controller to play it on my Nintendo Wii (Still considering buying a Wii U to get some of the cool games, but maybe should buy the next console instead if it is backwards compatible).

I hope the bad apples in the industry get culled soon, including devs and players alike.

A lot of rumors are pointing to the fact it women backwards compatible, but games like Splatoon and a complete version of Smash Wii U are being ported to the NX

Autocorrect or mental lapse? It was quite strange anyway.

Meanwhile with Hulkmania: Gawker points fingers.

Apparently hunches are Newsworthy enough for Forbes and NYT.

OH AND

Looks like Gawker still has to pay $140M

Remember what Gawker did to that executive back in July?

Gawker did the same thing to Peter Thiel back in 2007, so if he's funding the suit then it would make sense.

Woah that's a pricey gamble, you sure you want to make that offer? That five dollars could buy you a sandwich that you can eat. That's like one more use than buying gawker would ever get you.

Hey you might just be in luck

Also, you know the bit about Internet Harassers of Women being only neckbearded fedora-tipping men? Turns out it's not exactly true

Reminds me of my sister. She says it is women who hate women the most because since they refuse to compete like men do they just fill themselves with hatred.

This explains SO MUCH

Hrom wrote:

Well, that is my sister theory. She is almost literally one word away from being a bona fide misogynist. She says the best way to become such is to interact with specific kinds of women which have become common, including gold diggers, feminists, popular girls, and well, very few types of women are safe from my sister's disdain. In general she harbors a deep hatred for most of the species, just as I do, but she despises certain behaviors which are common in women a bit more.

Due to my experiences I was a misandrist fro a long time, until I began to meet the right kind of people. I guess that is what she went through but unlike me who had his eyes oppened and whose disdain for men was mostly based on lies, her disdain for women is based on her very own experiences with other women.

She does have female friends, but she says not all of them are exempt of the flaws that cause her disdain, those flaws include talking behind the backs of others, gossip, cowardice, psychological manipulation, and disrespect for those different, specially men. I guess what she hates is SJW and feminist nature.

That Milo thing was a masterpiece. Honestly the man is a real trollmeister, letting those protesters make themselves look bad; shame on the university for being so spineless.

@xTSGx: Huh, he still managed to get some money out of it? At least his name is now mud. I have a feeling that money anchor may or may not get worse if there are other case(s) being aimed at his head.

Garde wrote:

MEANWHILE

Basically Milo gets paid to speak at a university, springs for the security, protesters jump on stage being… well… loud for lack of a more respectful word, and the security does nothing.

Then everything goes to hell.

Especially for the university!

Everyone of those guards deserve to be fired, if your payed to protect someone, you fucking protect them, regardless of your political beliefs

yeah, but lets face it, the liberal media would have them and their families lynched if they did their jobs

Maybe I'm lacking some proper context here, but is Milo defending Gawker by suggesting that if Gawker was dominantly right-wing like Fox News they wouldn't be getting any defense whatsoever, or is this a stab at Gawker and Fox News?

The regressives and SJWs are all against Thiel for funding Gawker's destruction, Milo is implying they wouldn't care if the same thing happened to Fox News instead of Gawker because they only care if it's an outlet they agree with.

It seems to me like he is calling out those that support Gawker for their hypocrisy
