At nearly $700,000 condominiums. This is what the problem with Los Angeles is. The sheer cost of building new units and subsidizing them in Los Angeles is costing tax payers nearly 700k per unit, that is supposed to house 2 people. But as this project has gone horribly wrong, the city has instead settled for tiny homeless villages. And yet, the tiny villages are also under attack. One from NIMBYism, (Not in my back yard), which has largely affected the homeless problem in LA, but also from the homeless and activists themselves. They "rob them of their dignity".

They somehow found a worse way to help the homeless than giving them $2000/mo (no, I don't think that's a good idea either, but it'd be better than what they're doing.)

The problem is that a lot of people don't want to actually help the homeless, they just don't want to see them.

That's why Hostile Architecture has been increasingly prevalent. Another waste of taxpayer money that doesn't actually improve anything.

After some searching, I found three potential definitions. Two of them are conservative, but none are fascistic (unless we're being absurdly lenient with the term).

It can refer to a period of upheaval in the way that gender and sexuality relate to themselves and society, typically affiliated with the late 19th and 20th centuries. This isn't necessarily a good or bad thing, but in the late 19th century it was associated with a rise in rape and pedophilia, as many of the social morals targeted were what most would call "the good ones".

It also could be in the context of abortion; that the unborn not being "people" is "sexual anarchy". Or he just really hates Kinsey.

There's no telling what he actually intends to mean, but there's good precedent for it actually meaning something. My guess is that he means a surface-level slurry of these three.

The entire point of animosity towards homosexuality in the Old-Testament was a reaction to Pagan and Hellenic influence unto Judean Kingdoms. Specifically the fertility rites and temple prostitution that was common in Caananite religions of the time. And it wasn't even homosexuality, it was, specifically, sodomy (though Rabbinical law somewhat extends that to all manner of homoexual love). Incidentally, Lesbianism was tolerated for much of human history. There was even a Swedish Queen that was a Lesbian.

What worries me more are those that identify as "conservatives" using Nazi-based terminology against those they don't like.

Attacking the words origins to avoid dealing with the words meanings, the same logic as the wiki page.

We have plenty of those that identify as "liberals" using Communist-based terminology against those they dont like, guess how many accept the association when the origins are brought up.

Hell, we have the LGBT movement currently clinging to a definition of the word "gender" dreamed up by a child molester, explaining the sordid association has not proven very successful in persuading people to consider the concept invalid.

I'd say "cultural marxism" is in the ever-growing class of words that, while it does technically mean something, it's mostly used as a snarl with little to no connection to its actual meaning.

From what I can tell, the actual meaning of "cultural marxism" is the application of the Marxist theory of class struggle and class consciousness to issues of social justice or culture.

To add further context to Anders Behring Breivik's act of terrorism, he set up a bomb in Oslo and then went to a youth camp for left-wing teens with intent of killing as many kids as possible. He is a coward who is now in a cell bitching about the Norwegian government's supposed human rights violations.

The right typically uses it as a synonym for woke, ie. people who can see everything through the lens of oppressor vs oppressed (ironically, fascists and witnats tend to view things through the same lens)

Cultural Bolshevism encapsulates the ideas of the frankfurt school, a neo marxist school founded in the 20s and whose main claim to fame was being the origin of critical theory.

Critical theory was and still is a major influence of a number of leftist movements that emerged in the 60s such as postmodernism, postcolonialism, deconstruction, and multiculturalism. Being the common origin leads the name cultural marxism being used to refer to the successor ideologies in general.(bolshevism being an outdated term by the 60s)

As to why its being professed as nothing more than a conspiracy theory: it's branding, it would be a lot harder to push critical theory were the origins in a communist school highlighted to the plebs.

I remember several years back when GamerGate was burning hot, "Cultural Marxism" was quite the adamant topic on this site. The gist, as I saw it, was that "Cultural Marxism" through feminism, LGBT, or left-wing movements are attempting to destroy 'Western Civilization' (however it is described) through 'infiltration' in media or other societal structures.

Googling "Smash Cultural Marxism" will show plenty of memes describing the general outlook, which ranges from more subtle right-wing anger to neo-nazi dogwhistles or proposing the Great Replacement Theory (also called white genocide.)

Which is by all means the same views that Breivik holds, feminism and liberalism is turning us into sissies while muslims are taking over the country by immigration. The latter also echoed by the group SIAN (Stop Islamisering Av Norge, or Stop Islamisation Of Norway).

Meanwhile, Breivik was explicitly radicalised by these thoughts of liberalism, feminism, and Islam destroying the West until he went and shot literal children following an ideology he saw as proponents of such an end-game.

Breivik drank the Kool-Aid online like most terrorists, such as the El Paso 2019 shooter, Bærum mosque shooter, and Christchurch shooter. The Bærum mosque shooter, Philip Manshaus, stated that his motivation was due to his fear for Cultural Marxism and replacement of Europeans with muslims, and that the jews of the Frankfurt School were behind this perceived decline.
