How would you improve KYM?

An easier way to post images on forums without the use of textile ( not saying that it's difficult to copy the textile embed and do [img src="embed link"] ofc, just some form of convenience with image posting would be nice one day umu )

Honestly? Have the image galleries not use that stupid system where the page just continuously expands as you keep going down. What is the benefit of that? Why do so many sites use it? I don't get it. What's the problem with simply having numbered pages, you know, like forum threads do, instead of a single giant list that keeps growing the more you scroll?

-A politics filter so that every political or news entry is not visible for people who don't want to see it.
-A block feature so that you don't have to be bothered by certain trolls or see their content.
-The requirement that you must pick a gallery before adding an image or video in order to prevent spam or forced memes and image macros.
-A report button on comments and forum posts.
-A notification system near your avatar on top of any KYM page to indicate that someone replied to your comments and/or forum posts.

-Add a tip jar so people can throw money at KYM if they think they want to fund it
-Optimize the site code so it doesn't slow down in Firefox/Pale Moon
-NO MORE INVASIVE ADS so people can relax their adblocker rules
-A way to filter/sort/correct tags so you can clear up typos and consolidate 5 different ways of spelling a tag for a series.

Yes definitely. I don’t understand how we have a “show fewer ponies”, despite the fact that anti-bronies are all but gone now, yet we don’t have anything to hide politics, even people complain about it all of the time.

Well on a pure user experience standpoint, I'd say probably reporting less controversies and politics without memetic value. Some things do cause spreading jokes and ideas online, but others aren't infectious at all, and the best tie to the internet is some political twitter accounts making 1-2 tweets about it and moving on. I suppose those tweets get shared around, but I'm just not really convinced political commentary is an internet phenomenon.

But I am aware that those sorta articles do bring traffic to the site, despite not entirely fitting the site imo. So I'd just try to find ways to limit the bitter comment sections this site has about politics, as it really gives a bad impression about the site. People really don't find the forum before the entries, the first impression of this community is from those comment sections.

-Preview for comments and forum posts.
-Allow to undo likes/dislikes.
-Editable comments.
-Textile should have its own page, not just 2 forum posts, and needs to be updated.

--The video gallery needs love. I think it's partly because we have to go through hoops to link to the kym page (clicking on the video link just plays the video itself). Why do the frontpage videos have so much more attention (besides being on the frontpage)? Because it links to the kym page to add views, likes, comments.

--Increase the size limit to more than just 5mb and include more link sources.

--Remove upvote time limit and keep downvote time limit [puffy face]

--Buy more hamsters

•More of an anti spam system to prevent bots from joining
•A toggle that allows users to block certain content on the front page and trending (IE Trump Meme number 362)
•Having a block system to block users
24 hour period where you can’t create pages or entries to prevent new members to create forced memes and obvious scams
•Decrease the upvote time from 7 seconds to 3 seconds and keep the downvote time the way it is
• editable comments
•Have a VAC system that shows up under a persons profile that says how many times they’ve been suspended
•Comment previews
•Trending tab for Forum posts

-Show less controversies button
-Show less anime tiddies button
-Show less "x" fandom button
-Show less politics button
-Get rid of the upvote/downvote cool down
-Get rid of abusive ads
-Get rid of Spam-bots
-Get rid of meme elitism

That's it I saved KYM

I have been wondering why it's still there after all these years. I haven't seen poner spam on this site for a long time. Only there and here you can see one or two images pop up and that's it.
That whole button has felt pretty damn useless for a long time. Then again, other sites like 4chan still has GR15 after almost like 6 years and they don't seem to have any plans on removing it, so i guess it's kinda stupid to expect this site to do the same thing for that button and i'm totally fine with it of course but i do wonder that how much a button that has been useless for a long time can slow this site down? Could this site actually become a bit faster if it's removed or does removing it affect this site in anyway?

-NSFW filter (NSFW images being completely excluded from galleries on your end, not just visible with covers)
-Personal tag filter (any image with any of the tags in the filter won't appear in galleries on your end)
-Block feature with a list of blocked users in your settings
-Built-in notification feature so you don't have to rely on your E-mail
-Comment editing
-The ability to see individual post/comment karma right from your profile page

We kind of already have a notification system, it's just for your email instead of being on-site.

A button to check if a video is already in a gallery since the system is already there for when you submit an upload form. I'd rather not have to submit and then immediately edit just to save time.
I wouldn't say that an automatic check in the input field would be good, though. That's an unnecessary strain on the servers and the user.

- No more time limit between voting on posts.
- When we want to make an entry, we should have a format so that said entry can be similar to others.
- Think before you make another controversy entry.
- This is big, but our own video playback system would be nice. This will create more of a bond with the video gallery.
- I, for one, am interested to see statics of our time spent here, number of active users, and the like.
- More friendships with other sites.
- The ability to search for key words within an image gallery.
- A more organized favorite section. For example, you can have a separate section for funny posts, actual memes, loss edits, fap material, etc.
