Villager voting stage or mafia voting stage?

We always start on the night phase. In this turn the mafia, the doctor and the sheriff act.

And this time I don't want a repeat of the last game where people were afraid to speak up and I had to get the game moving with a completely random draw (which got me killed)

Each phase lasts a maximum of 48 hours. The phase will end immediately after all acting members in that phase have done what they need to do (mafia vote to kill, doctor vote to save, etc).

Doctors are unable to save themselves. That would lead to hilarious situations though. If the mafia decides to kill someone and they just so happen to be the doctor, that person is screwed.

Really? Everytime I've played, doctors could save themselves.

Role 3: The Doctor
-There will only be one doctor. During the “night” phase the doctor can PM the narrator the name of one participant. If this person was the person selected by the Mafia for death, then they will be saved. If the doctor picks someone else, nothing happens.
NOTE :The doctor cannot protect him/herself.

By shortening the turns, and by telling everyone to "go to sleep" (close their eyes and keep silent). Then, each group of key players consecutively on the prompting of the narrator makes their decisions.

Wait what if somehow we were to figure out who the mafia was, Could we do anything about that?

That is the goal to the game, finding out who the mafia is and kill each mafia member during a day phase. Except for the mafia, their goal is to not get revealed and kill everyone else.

You can use whatever you think is necessary (within some boundaries) to find out who the mafia is. The mafia can join in on the conversation and will of course try to get the villagers off track, killing more innocent villagers in the proces. But by this they also risk being revealed.

The sheriff and medic can help the villagers in their own way, read more about it on the OP post. You also can't reveal your role. Well you can, but who are we to believe you. Telling us you're a villager might just make you a mafia suspect.

Verbose Was pretty nervous, what with all that talk of there being a mafia in the town. He holed himself up in his house, with a camera at each door, jumping at the slightest sound.
