Yes, but I know of that tactic. Why would I reveal it if I would be shooting myself in the foot? I just withheld my vote so that I could throw it in and help us gain a close tie.

In all honesty, I don't suspect Wheatley. Not right now, at least.

@Wheatley: If I could make a suggestion, vote for Seal Clubba so that we can have four votes for each candidate. And from there, who ever has to vote will continue to do so. Hopefully they will continue to keep a tie going.

Sigh… I'm not convinced by any of these arguments. I don't suspect anyone enough to come to an informed decision, but just so I don't end up wasting my vote, I vote Seal Clubba. This 'give 3 people even votes' thing better work.

I'm voting for wheatley because he seems a bit quick to judge in my opinion.

As he is the only person we can be sure of isn't mafia, they of course want him dead.

This is based on the 3,4,4 vote from opspe. This turns it into a 4,4,4 voting. Hopefully this will result in cleaning some names.

I'm not sure if we should have more than three candidates. This will mess with the system since the mafia can vote for someone else, throwing our plan off. What do you all think? Would it be smart to ask that we focus our votes on only three candidates? Or is everything fine as it is right now?

Edit: Also, there are only two ways for this phase to end. Every able person has to throw in their votes (able as in villagers). Or we run out of time (48 hours). We have plenty of time right now.

Okay people lets not panic and get this together.

First of all, Algernon my comment about the doctor was a joke. Not an actual suggestion to the doctor! I said that because Verbose made a joke about killing Iambob

I wont give the Doctor any suggestions because if the Doctor acts upon those suggestions, the Mafia will dodge it.

Now the first round is always the hardest because we have no real leads to vote on at this time. Until we get some more leads I'll withhold my vote for now, I need some more time to think on this one (I woke up only recently you know)

Beside's I see that we already have a tie in place and a tie is good. I'm not sure if that needs changing, what do you think Bob?

Fine, I suspected you but then I had second thoughts. Maybe you aren't so suspicious after all because you actually have been playing like you usually do so far.

I realized that my comment was a bit out of line and was the product of not enough careful thinking so I removed it.

I don't mind switching my vote, but I rather not take the risk that the others forget to switch votes. Getting us nowhere.

With 5 mafia, the current voting probably works. But I'll wait till at least one other switched votes before I switch. This shouldn't be a problem because we still have more than 24 hours.

Wait, ItizPWNED. We can't have 5 mafia. The mafia is supposed to make up 1/5 of the total population. We currently have 20 players. 1/5 of that would make 4.

You guys be deductin'? Good. I haven't mapped out how it would work with 5 mafia, but seeing how a tie vote works to figure out where the mafia is voting.

• For those new to the game, mafia votes don't count.
• So when a final tally of villagers' votes are counted, mafia votes' will not matter.
• So if the final count is Person X: 5 votes, Person Y: 5 votes, and Person Z: 3 votes, there were only 2 mafia remaining, and the final result was a tie between Person X and Person Z…
  • …then you could conclude that the two mafia voted for Person X.
  • This is because no tie occurred between Person X and Person Y like we'd expect, but instead occurred between Person X and Person Y.
• That means that the two mafia are 2 of the 5 people who voted for Person X.
• It also means that everyone else cannot be mafia.

Mathematical impossibility.
 
 
I'm not great a figuring out suspicious activity, so I prefer this method to figure out who is the mafia. Since it's the first round, it generally doesn't matter how you vote or how you get to your vote, but it's best to make the vote close to a tie to determine where (and if) the mafia is voting.

tl;dr Deduction works if you use it right. Use it as a tool. Get in on it. BSoD among others have seen it in action.

Also, ItizPWNED is going to be absent from the forum for a while and cannot run the game. Since I'm actively involved and actively dead, he asked if I would become narrator. I can do that, since I'm back online frequently again, but that also means I can't help the villagers in anyway. I'd be neutral.

The alternative is to find someone else who dies, to find someone outside of the game to run it, or to put the game on hold until PWNED is back (likely at the end of the weekend.)

I have a message from him, but I don't want to save a screepcap, upload it to imgur, and post it. Stuff like that takes a while for my computer.

Hooray, Verbose is here to fully explain his plan. I was never very good at explaining math. I just solved problems, never cared for how I did it as long as I got it right. I have no problems with you being temporary host.

Third. I trust Verbose to be impartial, except when it comes to sports. And that deduction plan sounds good to me – it's only logical.

And to my estimation, we're still waiting on Lolrus and Nikolaki. I know Niko lives in AUS, so he should be getting on in the next few hours probably.

And I thought about counting the votes on the thread so everyone can see, but I feel as if that is organizing the information to the benefit of one side and/or the other. Feel free to do it yourselves, however.

You can no longer participate in the game if you are killed, though a dead villager can still help influence the villagers during the day phase… Other dead characters are not allowed to post anything related to the game once they have been killed, as they know too much.

• If I can't answer any question fairly, then I simply will not respond to the question at all.

Nikolaki, we're establishing a system here. Please reassign your vote to someone other than me, Seal Clubba or Wheatley.

Now that sounds suspicious…or maybe you're just trying to cover your ass.

As it stands before Niko's vote, you, Seal, and Wheatley are all tied at 4 votes each. Only two people have yet to cast their votes, so obviously someone is going to get it. So Niko, vote for whoever you want.

Wait, how does that sound suspicious? I'm just trying to maintain the tie that we have all been trying to keep. You do bring up a good point though. We do have another vote waiting. And I still believe it would be better to keep it at just three candidates.
