Coca-Cola's "Try To Be Less White" training controversy

So there's this new leak of Coca-Cola's online training, forcing employees to be "Less White". It was revealed by a psychologist name Karlyn on Twitter. Her tweet of the leaked training spread fast with over 15.2K Retweets and 28.9K Likes. There's also an article about Coca-Cola's confirmed leaked training if you want to read it.

As for myself, it makes me feel angry at these self-hating "allies" with their diversity fetish, wanting to antagonize and divide all whites as the bad guys until they're extinct. I'm also worried too. I just want everyone to work together and keep the peace, no matter what race and religion.

Obvious publicity stunt is obvious

I swear there needs to be a new philosophical razor for "Never attribute to political movements that which can easily be explained by corporate publicity stunts"

I briefly worked with an ESG consultancy and I can tell you that these diversity/"whiteness" seminars are completely par for the course at any Fortune 500 company. They're almost always a mandatory part of the onboarding process for new employees and are often recurring afterward up to two or three times per year.

The public sector is where it gets really whacky though.

Frankly the entire Robin DiAngelo/White Fragility/Critical Race Theory phenomenon should get an entry on account of the fact that it's a never-ending source of internet culture war drama.

Great, is Square now part of the "anti-racism is code for anti-white" crowd. Getting tired of seeing reactionary posts like these.

Remember when the hip and cool thing was to not attribute morality to skin color?

I miss those days.

Am I not allowed to have opinions and thoughts of my own?

I'm just tired of seeing KYM become an anti SJW and right wing site. Trust me, I've been here since late 2011 and I've seen how it changed for better or for worse. Sorry if I came off rude to you.

Every site should be anti sjw

I just want to be able to speak honestly without worrying I will be purged.for it.

Used to be on most sites the worst you'd get for saying something that turned out to be seen as wrong by the majority was mockery and/or butthurt. Nowadays you're near constantly on edge that a mod with a stick up thier ass would lock you out for something you thought innocuous.

Thats not even talking about the ever more numerous horror stories of people having thier livelyhoods ripped from them at the hands of a cowardly employer who apparantly hasnt heard of the "opinions expressed are those of the author not the company" disclamer.

Say less racist, bigoted, white supremacist, or whatever, but when you tell people not to "be" an immutable characteristic because it's inherently bad, there's a serious problem. Do these people want more blackface and Rachel Dolezals?

Do you really have to be right-wing to oppose this kind of insanity? I've watched the progressive movement slide from "treat everyone as equals, stereotyping is wrong" to this hyper-focus on race where stereotyping is actively promoted. The idea of this being permanently tied to left-wing politics is frankly depressing.

So Coca-cola is going with anti-white in the new training, using Robin Di Angelo's book as help, and Coca Cola confirmed it is real. Not to mention it leans more on "anti white" rather than "anti racism" thanks to Robin Di Angelo's influence. And there's people out there who thinks Robin Di Angelo's "White Fragility" is the right way to """"fight"""" racism even though it literally screams anti-white.

And i see some of you just throwing insults to each other, derailing this thread.

@chowzburgerz
Idk what made the decision for you do not take this seriously, not even going on topic in the start.

@Individual I don't think you know what you are even talking about at this point you just throw random nonsense and hope something "sticks" sadly for you nothing is actually sticking

It's good to teach others to be empathic and understanding of other's needs based on the wide variety of backgrounds people come from. Starting that discussion with "don't be THIS background" when you mean "don't assume your majority background is the only one" is not the way to go about it. It just puts that particular background on the defensive and doesn't convey your message properly.

@Sanakan_ht
Do you seriously not realise it at this point?

He endorses that stuff and the fact that we call it out offends him its obvious by his choice of words "reactionary" "right-wing"

@Griff The Knight

Or, a simply realize that what Coca cola are doing is inconsequential and only "reactionary right-wing" will overreact aboot it.

No need to do mental gymnastic to undestand that.

Also, you're gonna attack me now. What I was trying to say is how much impact the anti-SJW community has with these suggestions. I've been here for almost a decade and I'm not gonna let it end because of some troll.
