Okay, I don't ussually enguage with with the Homestuck fandom… and this is probabky a newb question; being an "on again, off again" reader…

But… Has anyone thought to question a few facts about Lord English/Caliborn in the face of… Doctor Who?

Caliborn: Lord of Time
The Doctor: Time Lord

Lord English: Flies through space in a Box (Sarcophogas) that changes form
The Doctor: Travels through Space in a Box (Police Box) That sometimes changes form

Lord English: Uses a wand like Instrument on occasion.
The Doctor: Uses a Mechanical Wand like Instument

Lord English: Regenerates from the body of another being after their death.
The Doctor: Regenerates in a new form each time he dies, describes it as another person taking off with his memories and life.

Lord English: Garishly Colored Scarf and Overcoat.
The Doctor: Odd Colored Scarf and Overcoat.

Caliborn: Currently the only of his kind, and his planet is dead.
The Doctor: His planet is as good as dead… He acts as if he's the last of his kind.

… Because you guys are so fanatical… I assume you've already come to this, and I can crawl back to my hole without fear of everyone freaking out.

Yeah, it's pretty obvious that some aspects of Caliborn/LE are references to Doctor Who, but I don't really think Doc Scratch is a reference. He's called that because he's literally the scratch doctor.

Also I'm agreeing with MDF that it's most likely a technical failure on the servers part. Updates don't cause traffic to exceed the servers limits unless there was some BIG NEWS for everyone to tune into (was there?)

Even then, a failure caused by traffic overflow is usually fixed in a day.

There's an AU going around Tumblr called "Ke$hastuck". There's nothing really coherent about it, besides the fact that it focuses on singers playing Sburb. It's really sweeping the fandom away for the most part.

Can you lower the emotional caps posts a bit? It's nice that you are so deep into Homestuck, but 10+ posts per page on how you feel can become annoying. This is still a thread, not a chat (nor are we Tumblr, knowing the regular emotions there each update).

Why do I suddenly get the feeling that the whole "Complacency of the Learned" isn't just one aspect of the plot, it covers a lot of them. And also makes me think of some possible future analogues.

A Wizard vs Wizard Scenario where an androgynous Anti-Hero/Antagonist beats the Unbeaten?

From one side, that's Calliope being unbeaten at literal Chess. While on the other side, it's that Lord English is unbeaten at "Wrecking stuff up".

So perhaps, as some bit of desperation, Calliope's Ghost switches around Jake and Jane via an illusion, while Jane Dies on her Prospit quest bed, and Jake gets to shoot Lord English in the Back.

Also, maybe Rose gets clonked on the head with that "Game Walk-through" book at some stage, giving her a temporary death that mirrors Friglish, as these things are probably going to come in pairs, considering the whole "Friglish the cat" being crushed already.

Maybe Rose goes Grim-Dark again, and that's how they snap her out of it… Again. But before that, at some point she makes some "Incoherent" stuff than would make her sound like she's introducing herself to another as "Friglish". And then they clonk her on the head with her book, she comes back, no worries.
