GET TO IT.

I tried that. This is what happened:

I really need to stop taking sewing advice from Pinkie Pie.
I'm totally getting sent to the moon

Does anypony else like Pinkamina more than Pinkie just because of the irony of them being so different.

Nah, I do like Pinkamena, but Pinkie is still my second-favorite incarnation of any version of a pony. Pinkamena is probably just in the top half of a hypothetical list.

A friend of mine once said that comedians are actually pretty miserable. And I kinda got that feeling after watching Funny People with Adam Sandler (not a great movie, but I remember it well.) On that note, I feel like Pinkie and Pinkamena truly are one-in-the-same. But without friends, the lonely and sadder Pinkamena is more in-tune with how she sees the world. A coping mechanism, if you will.

Pinkie pie knows that laughter is the shock absorber that eases the blows of life.

I like Pinkie best. I like Pinkamina too, but I prefer the way the show depicts her – as a lonley basket case one could sympathize with over the sinister psychopath that she's often depicted as elsewhere. I can't say I don't like the idea of Pinkamina being evil though because it works so well and is pretty entertaining sometimes, but not when people go overboard with it.

I agree. Pinkie simply wouldn't work as well as a character without her dark side. Pinkimena turns a hyper active adult-child into a severely depressed individual who is suppressing her misery with laughter and hedonism. It's actually a bit tragic.

I like her because she's so different, I like the Pinkamina who's crazy but not a psyco killer. I just like the way she acts when she's crazy.

Sooooo…I was thinking. Either by the events portrayed in 2012, Lauren Faust coming up with an even greater cartoon that renders all other forms of entertainment boring, or simply by natural causes, Friendship is Magic will end at some point.

When that happens, I hope the creators have the chance to end that season with a series finalè, as opposed to having the show cancelled abruptly. My question is, "What would that episode be like?"

I'd think that Twilight would have to return to Canterlot or be sent elsewhere in Equestria with new duties. As such, the mane 6 would be broken up, perhaps with some of the other ponies leaving Ponyville, too. (e.g., Rainbow Dash earning a spot with the Wonderbolts or Rarity leaving to open a larger boutique.)

Pinkie throws a farewell party, it's all terribly sad, and the last letter to Princess Celestia is about how friendships don't have to end when friends move away. And if done correctly, the show would somehow end on some happy note.

Or, you know, maybe that's something we don't want to talk about right now. I understand that too.

Im not sure i wanna talk about a series finalle because its way too early. Mlp is one of those shows thats future didnt look bright based on past performances but then it suddenly picked up and surprised the whole world with its extreme popularity. With the fan base it has I think mlp could be around for a while and i really hope that it is.

I hope MLP will be one of the things that other people just get used to hearing about, kinda how when Minecraft first came out there was a bunch of butthurt people wondering what the whole deal was. Then those people were complaining that everyone is playing it and kept talking about it, and then after a good amount of time those people stopped complaining once they got used to it's popularity. I'm not saying this will happen to everyone who doesn't like it, but I'm just saying a past example, and history repeats it's self. Imagine when most (if not all) people are used to the concept of liking MLP. I see that day coming soon, and I'm willing to wait.

Well I'm back from school, it is Friday, and Labor Day weekend, so I'm excited to get started with pony time. First thing on the agenda to bust out the weekend is a daily reminder that I love you all, and wouldn't trade this community for any material possession.

And for some reason a random video.

Just realized something:
Octavia plays bass.
Her Cutie Mark is that of a treble clef.
I don't even PLAY any instruments and I know that's wrong.

I was sure it was a cello. Not sure if that helps, not exactly sure what a treble clef is and where it goes in classical instruments.

Cello or bass, treble clefs aren't used on either of them. The closest instrument to the one Octavia uses is a violin.

It's moar recognizable than the bass clef and it has come to symbolize (classical) music in general.

I'd hate for the first (and possibly only) thing i post in this forum to be an argument, but the instrument she plays is more like a cello or double bass. A violin is smaller and isn't played upright, a cello and double bass are played played upright and about that size. The only differences between a double bass and a cello that i know is a double bass is slightly bigger and that they are tuned differently.

I hope that didn't make me seem like a dick.

Don't think anyone here really has anything against maple story, but it's just too off-topic.

Alright, that was too much. I apologize for that.

But isn't going off topic with comments the entire reason we're posting here? Or was I misinformed as to what caused that massive flame war that lead to use posting our general, loosely/non-pony related discussions here?

From what I heard, we was making use of the comments like a forum. Where the comments is suppose to be used for discussion the progress of a meme and subculture, rather than discussing everything and posting irrelevant comments. So for the discussion part we was pointed to the forum, as for irrelevant comments, I'm sure there's a Just For Fun thread that would go for just about everything, including mass amounts of music from Maple Story.
