So how about episode 11? Considering the next battle only lasts 2 episodes, it appears all this filler has just been character development. If the show continues at this pace, it'll have caught up soon.

Episode 11 was about alright. I mean, it was spent on them just making a plan. Still, this anime's good at showing the tension that the characters feel in this situation, and it spends a good chunk on character development. The maneuver gear animation was amazing, might I add.


But the ending… I'm guessing that cliffhanger will keep people going wtf until the next ep.

Also, Mikasa seems to have a thing for food porn.

New episode was good relaying everything, feels a bit slow sometimes though.
I only read like halfway through the manga, so I'm wondering if the cliffhanger would've caught me off guard if I hadn't read that part already. I don't know if I want to continue the manga though, I don't feel as pumped because I know whats coming.

I understand that this is not a show where things go smoothly for our heroes, like, ever, but this little diversion at the end seems to just drag things out some more. I know I was telling everyone to stop complaining about the pacing, but it's time to start complaining about the pacing.

In a lot of ways, this episode went like I'd imagined it would. It was mostly spent planning. I was glad to see some secondary character love thrown in there, though. I just seriously hope that Sasha isn't about to charge into her death. I know the chance isn't huge, but her trepidation is troubling.

I was ready to see some titans killed next week. But with this little diversion, I'd bet it will be another 2 or 3 weeks before the attack gets back on track, assuming the whole plan isn't totally botched anyway.

Completely agree. I've been feeling this way since episode 10 though. The pacing feels a little off is all.

If they talked a little less, mabye they could get more shit done. Seriously though, Mikasa better slap Eren the next time he snaps at her like that. I'm tired of seeing a strong black woman who don't need no man putting up with Erens shit, always yelling at her when she just wants to protect him. Can't they just kiss already?

Eh, honestly, Eren is a little harsh, but I can understand his frustration. He doesn't want to be coddled, and he wants to prove (probably more to himself than others) what he already assumes: he can take care of himself. It's that Mikasa is unintentionally doubting him and assuming he can't fend for himself that bothers him. I get why it bugs him. And as for Mikasa, she's not belittling him intentionally, she's just unable to accept a stressful situation without being in control of it, or at the very least being there firsthand. I understand that too; most of my family (myself included) can be like that.

i understand, but the talking i really dont mind. what my problem is that every time there is a glimmer of hope for something positive to happen for humanity, something always has to happen to curb stomp them back into the dirt. like at the end of episode 11, all was well with the motivational speech, they are about to execute a plan to help take back the city. all seems well until the last 2 seconds of the show before credits.

So how about Episode 12? By the way it's going, it looks like the Battle for Trost arc will be over by the end of the next episode. If that's the case, after the episode 14 recap episode, the next arc will be starting. The second arc is where the plot really starts as far as I'm concerned.

Well I decided to start watching the show, and so far I really like it. I'm starting Episode 6 as I type this, and so far it's pretty good (I have read ahead in the manga tho). I am usually a "read manga first" kind of guy, though, so I'll probably read through the series once I catch up on the show.

I'm ready for terrible, terrible things, though. I usually like those kinds of stories that deconstruct everything (2 of my big fandoms are Homestuck and Madoka after all).

Guh, tired of all the plot and less Eren punching things.
I'm about to just go read the manga and get to the good part.
