Gotta be honest, I don't get why you people feel the need to make up a "theme" for each page. I get that it's the hiatus and there's not much to discuss and whatnot, but geez this stuff always gets stale as the hiatus drags on.

Hello, Its been awhile since I've made a post in this forum (or should I say the VII), Since its going to go in the final 10 days of the film that some who are (un)fortunate to have their theaters screening. When that movie was first announced, sure, I was not happy, but I wasn't going to dread on it, at least not until its nearing the release of it. In the past month or so, Me and my friend have been watching these shorts, and sneak peeks when they come out. My friend, is not a brony (He's only seen the first 4 episodes, the S4 finale, and the the first movie), He was supposed to be with me when I went to see the first movie in the theaters, having some support for what came ahead. But sadly, he never got back to me confirming that he'd arrive, and did not show up, and now, he says he's gonna be there for me now. Hopefully he'll be there this time hahaha.

And in the past month, I've been pretty…..surprised to say the least. I didn't want to see those shorts when they came out, but when the days got closer, we both sat down to watch them. The weird part, is that he's gotten upset for caring about the show, since he's never been to keen on watching such a show, yet he hasn't seen much of it. But the more surprising thing about the sneak peeks was…… There's potential in some places……Something I've never thought I would say to this at all!

What I'm kind of asking is, Do you want to hear me and my friend's impressions about the movie, Like before seeing it, and then literally just after seeing it? And when I mean by hearing it, I mean literally hearing us talk. Both having the impressions of a Non-Brony and Me in a discussion about the movie we are going to see soon, and a discussion of the movie itself. I've done a recording of us giving an impression so far like a week ago, But I just wanna ask if you guys are willing to hear it? If not, its fine.

I've also got another thing for the movie, I was kind making a funny list of a Drinking game based off the movie, Though I can't drink yet, though maybe in 3 years time, I'll remember what I counted up, and just go for it hahahahaha. The drinking game is based on how bad it might be, and also having two categories, One list having events where you have to drink to, and a second list where if a certain event happens, you are allowed to not drink if a event that should make you take one. For example: If they painfully reference the show (for a joke), take a shot, and: If Flash has actual character development, you may not take a shot when a event makes you take one. If you got ideas for such a thing you can add on it as much as you please.

It's actually a trend that's been going on since the earliest Pony Generals. I don't think anyone has ever questioned that until now. It's just something we've always just…sorta done…heh…don't know why. We just did it.

I guess it was a way of spicing the thread up, or naturally a method of organised chaos.

You see, this one thread always struggled to hold ALL the pony topics we could muster, so to make it so that the thread is easier to read and not a jumped mess of constantly changing topics, we focused on one topic per page.

I guess we don't need to do that now, since things are slower. But the trend stayed

Hasbro will still control 9:00-3:00 timeslot, but might take their cartoons elsewhere, like Cartoon Network. Hopefully this means nothing bad for the pones…

That's actually a pretty badass trailer. Definitely did its job getting me interested in seeing the movie.

If FiM were to move to another network I'm pretty sure that would be much more of a benefit than a harm. Considering basically every children's network is more well known than the Hub a move to a new network would increase the audience and ratings dramatically methinks.

Come on, Vinyl. Hasbro finally makes you more than a bystander or victim, and you waste it away by not caring about the plot. At least show a little interest.

Man, that was such a crap situation.
I obviously wasn't going myself, but I know a few people who had plans to attend so I've been keeping up with it a bit.
The con staff came out about a month ago saying that they were having funding problems and asking for ticket sales/upgrades in order to make sure the con could go forward.
Then they canceled two of the three VAs they had originally invited to save money, but said that the convention was 100% going to proceed.
Apparently, '100%' is no longer a guarantee as they totally collapsed 10 days before the date they set and left a whole bunch of people with flight and hotel reservations that they couldn't get refunds for on such short notice.
And they aren't even able to give full refunds for the admission tickets that they encouraged everyone to buy in advance.
To be clear, from their statements and general demeanor, I don't believe the convention staff stole/conned the money out of people and ran with it; they just did a very poor job of planning and accounting for all the costs of hosting such a large event.
Massively suck for all the Aussie bronies out there, though.

The relationship between these two is a little confusing to me…
I was under the impression that Hasbro created and owned The Hub as a network to launch its reboots of all of its franchises.
But now I guess The Hub is independent enough for Hasbro to end their deal with them and potentially explore other networks?
But Hasbro is still going to own a controlling share of The Hub anyway so…

From what I can tell, all it really seems to mean is that Hasbro shows no longer have to air on The Hub as they pretty much do now.
I don't see this affecting MLP all that much, except for the possibility of it being aired on a bigger channel and gaining even more of an audience.
I'd say it is more bad new for The Hub as they will no longer be assured of the rights to all the shows that they are now known for.

I haven't been following this very closely, but everything I have read over the years made this seem like it was a long time coming.
They have been working on this thing for three years and completed very little in that time other than completely rewriting the script a couple times (Always a good sign…).
Then, they actually got a C&D a few months ago but decided to essentially ignore it and keep right on going, even holding panels at BronyCon and BronyCan but refusing to answer 'legal questions.'
I don't even know what the story is supposed to be about, but the way it has been handled has been really weird.

Guys, I think we need to rethink always calling them 'Marshmallow Horses.'

The marketing people at Hasbro seem to be taking it too literally and the implications…
(Or maybe we need to do it more.)

I'm not entirely sure of the details behind the lock, but whoever locked it did it without discussion among the other mods. Whatever happened, the gallery is open again now and we don't intend on permanently locking the gallery in the near future

Isn't Discovery owned by Disney anyways? I always though it was weird that Hasbro took over Discovery Kids. Disney/Hasbro seem to have a weird relationship. A lot of Guardians of the Galaxy toys and merch was made by Hasbro and I even caught them in the Disney store. This will be interesting to see where it goes.

I know more about company relationships than about ponies, sad but true, I mean sad for you guys, for me, well so yeah, the Hasbro and Disney were always good friends, good example one of the sets from the G3, the Disney princess ponies.

So yeah, I think this last leaky burst of content has finally tipped me over the edge on this movie.
Before, I was 'meh' about it and was mostly going to see it because it was new MLP content, but now I am actually looking forward to being able to check this thing out.

This movie is actually looking like its going to great (aside from the selfie part) but I still won't see it in theaters because of "reasons". Anyways since i'm late once again on my new page spamming I'll just dump these Bonpun pictures here:




Also I'm hoping the movie actually gives the pone/humans a chance to show off their musical talents instead of giving them like five seconds in a montage with another song playing louder in the background, that would just be wasted potential.

Although I'm not into much interest in this film, I just want Spike to go bipedal (walking for animal) in human clothing.
Here's a simple idea, Have Spike to defeat the heck out of a vacuum cleaner (accepting a challenge from Garble and his gang of colossal canines) and when he fails to do so, he get sucked into another world. When he gets possessed by someone devilish, not only he gains opposable hands, having an ability to walk with a pair of legs and receives his nifty attire, he will become a terrifying pyromaniac when he got hurt, scared or angry; a dog with his body full of flame with a superpower of fire and heat manipulation (throwing fireballs at anyone). Only being splashed by water will turn him to his normal form.
Hmm… this idea sounds similar.
