@Baluh the Red Comet
Yeah, I can understand when a pony OC (that never showed up in the show) dressed up as some famous character – get moved to the ponify gallery.
But when a post of pony from the actual show, that wear a costume, get moved to the ponify gallery…
I mean: c'mon, she is one of the main 6!

Well, I only read a couple of new fanfics the past couple of weeks, but I would like to share them with you guys.

I'mma Snuggle You – Twilight decides to assault Rarity with snuggles. Rarity is baffled by Twilight's actions and thinks she is under some sort of control.

Derpy's Faking It – While strolling around town, Twilight Sparkle accidentally knocks out Derpy's contact lenses, revealing perfectly normal eyes hidden underneath.
So what else could Derpy be faking?

And as usual, here are the new chapters for "The Moon in the Dark".

-Alphys in her soul form stares at the dark green human Sage Soul ominously hanging over her. The Sage's figure has a dark green "skin" and is wearing a black suit and a red tie. Alphys is afraid that she can't face the Soul alone, but Mettaton/Mappy in his Blook form appears next to Alphys and supports her with a speech about how his dream of being a superstar was not achieved without the help of Alphys.
-Mettaton turns into a stream of pink light while Alphys becomes an orange stream as they surround the orange human soul to empower it. The boxy form of Mettaton appears and transforms into its NEO form with an orange and pink heart in the middle. Mettaton then becomes surrounded in a pink and white sailor fuku as he does a pirouette after the end of the transformation sequence and wields a crowned scepter in his right hand.
-"We are Monster Fighter, Neo Neo Mettaton! Sailor suited mech warrior of justice and freedom! And in the name of our moon, we will punish you!"
-The Sage attacks, but Neo Neo Mettaton dodges and attacks. The Sage counters by grabbing Mettaton's elbow joint, but kicks the Sage's "groin" area to stun it. Mettaton fires a cannon at the Sage, shredding its suit and its defenses. Then, the combined duo prepares to fire their scepter.
-"Kisatsu…shoryuken!" The duo performs an uppercut to send the Sage flying into the air. Then, they form into a massive heart-shaped drill to attack the Sage once more.
-"Love Love…Giga Drill Breaker!" Neo Neo Mettaton's attack tears through the Sage's body and the soul within. The duo drills into the weakened barrier to help support Woona's battle against the barrier.
-"This is the drill that will pierce to the heavens!" Mettaton is glad that Alphys has set aside her fear and showed her true heart by unleashing a powerful attack.

-Papyrus nervously stares at the huge, muscular figure representing the dark green Sage Soul in front of him and cowers. When Papyrus feels unsure of what to do, Woona's voice reaches out to him and tells him that she was able to made it all the way to the Barrier and make friends along the way not just because she believed in herself, but because Papyrus believed in her. This causes Papyrus to gain confidence before entering the battle, causing the green human soul to merge with him.
-"FOR I AM FILLED WITH DETERMINATION!" As soon as he says those words, magic surrounds him as they form into clothes. Papyrus is wearing black leather, steel-toed boots, a red trenchcoat, and black gloves on both of his arms. He is also holding a long bone sword and has a skull decorated gun on his waist. Pointy orange shades appear on his face as his eyes glow orange and green. Yellow and blue hair appear on top of his skull, standing upright. (He looks like Vash the Stampede.)
-The Sage Soul attacks, trying to destroy Papyrus with a barrage of punches. When the barrage ends, Papyrus remained unscathed. Feeling "sorry" for the Soul and how he had a lot of room to dodge the Sage's attacks, Papyrus divides the void into six sides with his bone sword. He also tells the Sage Soul that he will not dodge when the Sage Soul strikes him again.
-The Sage Soul attacks again, sending Papyrus crashing to the other side of the battlefield, but Papyrus shows no signs of pain. Instead, the attack HEALS Papyrus by 10 HP. Disappointed by the Sage's effort, Papyrus attacks with his bone sword, cutting off the figure's arm and shattering a quarter of the Sage's soul in the process.
-The Sage Soul sinks to its knees and offers to spare Papyrus. Papyrus refuses and instead draws his gun, which turns into a massive cannon with white angel and black devil wings and the skull of the Gaster Blaster at the front. Papyrus fires his gun, incinerating the Sage figure and tearing its Soul apart.
-Papyrus turns back to normal…and realizes that the hair he grew during his transformation sequence is stuck onto him. He decides to sing, but the chapter ends before he is able to do so.

-Undyne faces the Sage Soul with the yellow human soul bouncing around her, both eager and ready for battle. Undyne tells the Sage Soul (which is a large figure holding two large swords in its hands) that every Monster in the Underground are supporting Undyne and the others in their battle to break the Barrier. She speaks with determination as her body becomes filled with bright light.
-Undyne's armor changes as she assumes her "Undying" form, except that a yellow heart is in the middle of her armor, and the yellow human soul is peeking out of her empty eye socket that was previously hidden by her eyepatch.
-Undyne begins her attack by launching blue spears at the Sage. The Sage counters by lunging towards Undyne, but Undyne spins her spear to deflect the Sage's attack. Undyne attacks by sending a haymaker at the Sage's chin and thrusting the Sage rapidly with her spear.
-The Sage tries to fall backwards to give itself some room to dodge, but Undyne traps the Sage by turning his Soul green, meaning that he can no longer escape. She pulls out her right arm, which is attached to a mini-gun, and fires a bunch of spears at the Sage. The Sage desperately tries to deflect all of the projectiles coming out at it, but is unable to do so.
-The Sage tries to strike once more, but it has impaled itself onto a spear without knowing. With all of her strength and anger built up inside of her, Undyne leaps into the air and stomps the Sage until its Soul hits the spear, shattering it.
-With her battle against the Sage Soul finished, Undyne cries out to Woona that her job is done.

-Muffet faces the Sage Soul with the purple human soul floating next to her. The Sage Soul's figure takes in the shape of a humanoid spirit wearing a black cloak with a heavy scythe in its hands. Muffet recognizes the figure as The Reaper, the right hand to the humans' king. Realizing that she is facing a powerful enemy, Muffet tells the human soul to merge with her.
-Muffet's body glows as the clothes she is wearing changes shape. She is now wearing a very low cut leotard with a very dark purple color and stockings that rose up to her leotard. She also has gossammer wings on her back and nails dyed in crimson. She summmons up a wine glass filled red liquid and sips it while using her other hand to fan herself. "Mistress Muffet" is the name of the new form that she has taken.
-Muffet slowly walks towards the Sage and tries to seduce it, making the Sage uncomfortable. The Sage swings its scythe at Muffet, causing Muffet to burst into a bunch of spiders and to reform behind the figure. She traps the Sage in her purple webs and taunts the Sage about how the Sage gave up its Soul when it was human to create a Barrier to trap the Monsters Underground.
-Muffet sways the Sage into lowering its scythe and its hood while she goes close to the Sage's face as if she was about to kiss it. Muffet suddendly bites down on the Sage's neck, draining it of its magical energy.
-With the Sage powerless and trapped, Muffet seizes the scythe from the Sage and tells it about Ariadne, her Matriarch and her ancestor who united the spiders Underground. Upon her death, the spiders scattered, some of them dying due to cold weather in Snowdin or by the humans themselves. Muffet angrily blames the death of her ancestors to the Sage before she summons a large, muffin-like spider creature to finish the Sage off.
-Muffet's giant pet spider devours the figure and shatters its soul. Satisfied with her victory, Muffet uses the defeated Sage's magic to refill her wine glass and drink it before leaving the battlefield.

Meet the Cipactli, half-crocodile, half-toad. Dangerous enough that it took the combined might of Tezcatlipoca and Quetzalcoatl to take it down in order to create the universe. And the only way it happened was because Tezcatlipoca had to sacrifice one of his feet to lure it out in the open.

Are you kidding me? What was with this episode?

I-I mean, in this episode Quibble Pants clearly states that quote "There isn't a single thing after Ring of Destiny that is even remotely in the realm of the possible" unquote, but in the episode Daring Don't we can see that the name of the book A. K. Yearling wrote about her adventure with Rainbow Dash was Ring of Destiny. A-and because Quibble says he only likes the original trilogy, that would imply that Ring of Destiny is only the third Daring Do book, which is impossible because Twilight and Rainbow discuss the existence of at least 4 Daring Do books before the end of the episode where Ring of Destiny is written!

This show is horrible! And I refuse to acknowledge the existance of anything that happened after the third season! If anyone liked this episode, I refuuuuuuse to be friends with them.

(This was a joke. I liked this episode a lot.)

Looking around Fimfiction right now, and I found two Quibbledash fanfics. The first one is in the featured list with a suggestive title, while the other one is a Soarindash and Quibblepants fic. Seems like the season 6 characters have not gotten a lot of fics written about them, except for Princess Ember, who has over 150 fanfics. Sunburst, Tender Taps, Saffron Masala, and Zephyr Breeze have not gotten a lot of attention.

Anyways, here are the list of fanfics I have read in case you guys want to check it out:

Why the Nobles Are Big, Stinky, Stupid Heads – Annoyed that the nobles keep taking up all of princess Celestia's time, filly Twilight vents the only way she knows how. By writing an essay! However, she wrote this essay on the blank bottom of the scroll containing the speech Princess Celestia was to read to her little ponies. And once the speech ends, Celestia doesn't stop, much to the horror of some of the nobles in the crowd.

Discord Forms a Cult – Having grown tired of seeing ponies worship the very ground that the Princesses walk on, Discord decides that it's high time ponies started worshiping him instead.

In his very own Cult of Chaos, no less.

Princess Celestia is in Your Washing Machine – Spinoff of Princess Celestia is in Your Bed. It's been three months since Princess Celestia appeared in your bed. Three months since she took that bed, along with your sheets and your pillows. Three months since she nearly drove your girlfriend away from you. But peace was made, and everything had been going relatively smoothly. Life was even beginning to look up.

Until today.

What Do You Do With a Drunken Princess? – Sequel to What Do You Do With a Drunken Unicorn? (which is the very first MLP fanfic I read). Twilight Sparkle hosts a gathering for all the other pretty pony princesses at her magical castle. Sometimes, even royalty needs to let their hair down, right?

Hitting the liquor cabinet is a very important part of that process.

Also:

Undead Robot Bug Crusaders and Letter From an Irritated Princess are updating again.

I have decided to stop following Catherine the Great.

And here are the new chapters for "The Moon in the Dark".

-As soon as Toriel sees the dark green Soul Sage in front of her, she attacks with her fire magic. The sage, which is wearing a flowing robe, freezes the fireballs and knocks the ice shards back at Toriel. Toriel dodges and tries to attack up close, but the Sage dodges and hits her with its staff.
-The Sage stares down and tells Toriel to give up. Toriel refuses, saying that she will not let another children die as long as she lives. As her determination rises, Toriel hears Chara's voice in her head, saying that Woona had been carrying Chara's spirit inside of him and used a sleeping potion inside the spider cider during Woona's birthday party to sneak out of the Ruins in order to reunite Toriel and Asgore. He also offers his power to help Toriel battle the Sage.
-Toriel changes into a younger version of herself, surrounded by her own flames and with wings of fire behind her. "She's a Killer Queen," Chara muses.
-The Sage attacks with ice shards, but Toriel summons up a flaming wall to melt the attacks and launches several flaming spheres at the Sage. The Sage summons up an ice wall to block the attack, but Toriel follows her attack with a huge laser-like fire attack, knocking the Sage backwards. The Sage tries to get up but is kicked in the head and sent flying forwards. The staff is knocked out of the Sage's hands, and Toriel burns it to a crisp.
-Toriel lunges forward and grabs the figure's torso. "Heat. End." Toriel squeezes her hands, burning its soul and the body with it.
-Feeling satisfied with Toriel's victory, Chara thanks her and leaves while Toriel returns to normal.

-Asgore faces the Sage's figure wearing an ancient armor wielding an ancient sword. Though he feels that he has no chance of defeating the Sage, he strikes anyways in hopes that his attack would be successful. The Sage knocks his weapon aside with his sword, then proceeds to slash Asgore. Wounded, Asgore tries to use his fire attacks on the figure, but it dodges the attack easily and strikes Asgore with lightning bolt.
-With seemingly no hope left, Asgore cries out into the void, which somehow answers back. A shimmering figure representing the former King of the Monsters approaches him, stating that he and everyone who were kings before him are on his side and willing to help Asgore out. In order to receive the power, the figure says that Asgore must live for his people, face the crimes he has committed, and accept the consequences. Asgore is hesitant at first, but the figure tells him to let go of his past and learn from it in order to make a brighter future.
-Asgore closes his eyes and promises himself to never make the same mistakes again and that he will always find better and newer choices. Asgore then starts to change shape to make himself more fit for combat against the Sage Soul. "The King has returned," mutters the former King.
-Asgore and the Sage strike at each other, with neither of them having advantage over their respective adversary. He finds a crown on top of the Sage, realizing that the figure is actually the human King he fought from the war fought between the humans and the Monsters long time ago.
-The former King of the Monsters speaks to the Sage, asking the figure why it has become part of the Barrier and led his people to war instead of peace. The figure steps back and kneels down, burdened with the grief of his past. Realizing that Chara is actually the descendant of the former human king, Asgore tells the Sage Soul that he will take care of Chara once he finishes the Sage off. The Sage Soul agrees to this and yields, ready to be struck down by Asgore.
-As the Sage reveals its soul to Asgore, Asgore strikes the Sage, shattering its soul. Only one Sage Soul remains….

-With Papyrus, Undyne, Alphys + Mettaton, and Toriel defeating the Knights who led the human army against the Monsters, Muffet defeating the Champion known as the Reaper, and Asgore defeating the King, Sans faces against the Grey Sage, AKA the Vizier, whose guilt was far greater than the other Sages.
-Sans taunts the Sage, stating that he knows that the Vizier knows about the powerful Soulstone that the Monsters created and the actions the Vizier committed in order to get the artifact. The Sage Soul did this by creating atrocities "caused" by the Monsters against the humans in order for the human king to force a war against the Monsters, and use that opportunity to steal the Soulstone for himself.
-The Grey Sage starts to expand, using the safeguard placed inside the barrier to turn itself into another larger form. Sans shrugs off the sight he see before him and says that since his ATK power is only one, he is going to turn the fight against the Sage into "a straight up fight of numbers." He begins to call upon a power to aid him in battle.
-"One for every parent who gives their child a night light. One for every child without, who faces down their fright. …. And one for every watcher who from beyond does see, Our titanic struggle, and wants us to be free." (I won't type out the whole poem, since it is pretty long.)
-The small sphere of light above Sans grows as he calls for aid. "so…you think you can stand up to every one that's gathered to stop you? well…go ahead and try." He vanishes into thin air with the sphere of light slowly descending upon him.
-The Sage decides to strike the sphere, but as the sphere grows bigger, he slowly realizes his mistake and has no choice but to stare at his doom. With the sphere growing large enough to engulf the Sage's figure, the sphere shatters his figure and his soul apart.
-Sans reappears, happy to see that the Sage was finished. The light blue human soul around him urges Sans to say one last thing before leaving the void to join the others.
-GET DUNKED ON.

-With all seven Sage Souls eliminated, the Barrier shatters, causing a magical backlash large enough to wipe out the entire Underground and blow the top of the mountain off. Fortunately, Flowey's enhanced body prevents this, and causes a minor shockwave in the Underground instead. Flowey takes the hit, but with no magic power left to protect himself (the human souls were used by the seven Monsters who fought against the Sages), the flower parts slowly turn to dust. Sans offers Flowey to reset, but he refuses.
-As Woona and the other slowly get up, Flowey starts to lose his connection in the Underground. Flowey asks if "he did good," and Sans agrees. Flowey's body dissolves to dust, leaving behind a dark blue human soul flowing into the ground above, leaving behind a crystal tree behind.
-While looking at the crystalline structure, Sans believes it is "time for a miracle," and uses his magic to turn the light blue soul into a hexagonal blue topaz, which rises into the ground above. Papyrus offers help by turning his green human soul into a hexagonal pink opal. Undyne's yellow human soul turns into a hexagonal crimson ruby. Muffet's purple human soul turns into a hexagonal cut purple amethyst. Alphys's orange human soul turns into a hexagonal orange citrine.
-The five gemstones surround the spinning dark blue human soul. The soul spins faster until it turns into a starburst cut magenta tourmaline. The magical crystals place themselves around the Tree's branches and the trunk, where the Tree bursts into rainbow of light.
-The Tree produces a single large bud, which slowly opens, revealing Asriel underneath.

Hey there fellow ponefollowers. How goes? Anyway! The MLP comics have been released in Mexico! And, since I work at a comic book store, I just had to buy them (even though I don't watch the show anymore). They're pretty good!

I knew Panini would deliver, and I'm glad they did, camarada. Just yesterday, I picked up issue #4, the finale of the Nightmare Rarity arc.

A fantastic episode, and a great way to kick off the second half of the season. I was especially impressed with the way that they wrote Quibble Pants. He could have been a really annoying load and a waste of a guest star, but they wrote him in a very amusing and interesting manner which made good use of Patton Oswalt's abilities.

Well that episode was kind of a letdown.

Like, sure, there were some interesting parts to it, but it's basically the same thing that Dash and Pinkie refused to do during Griffon the Brush off. Like, the whole problem that Dash had with Gilda in that episode was that she thoughtlessly pranked Fluttershy. And yet, what's the first thing we see Dash do in this one? Thoughtlessly prank Fluttershy. Did the writers not watch the old episodes or something?

The reason why Rainbow did not prank Fluttershy in S01E05 was because Pinkie was holding her back. Go to 1:20 of the clip below, and you'll see that Pinkie tells Rainbow not to prank Fluttershy, because they don't want to hurt her feelings.

Rainbow isn't the type of pony who thinks before she leaps into action. While Pinkie does have limits on who she wants to prank someone, Rainbow does not, and rarely listens to other's advice before she does something. In "28 Pranks Later," Rainbow starts pranking Fluttershy and other ponies, because Pinkie isn't there to hold her back. And when Pinkie tries to tell Rainbow to stop, she refuses to listen. So Pinkie has to set up a counter-prank using the Filly Guide cookies after Rainbow tells her friend about her next big prank. This is the episode where Rainbow learns a lesson about not randomly pranking on others, not "Griffon the Brush-Off."

So overall, Rainbow was actually in character in the episode, believe it or not. The episode for me was pretty funny. Most of the events were predictable, but the pranks (such as the sewing machine cake prank) were well-done and clever.

@Blue Yoshi

Well would you look at that. I guess that makes sense. For some reason I had remembered that episode as "RD and Pinkie get mad at Gilda for being mean to Fluttershy," and had completely forgotten that Rainbow Dash can be kind of impulsively mean sometimes.

So fine, you win this round.

And I guess that means I have to re-think my opinion of the episode.

Two weeks have passed, so it's time for the MLP fanfic reading update.

Welp… I'm an Alicorn Now – Roseluck is an alicorn now, and she really wants Twilight's advice on the subject. Fanfic is based on an animation error on Roseluck in S06E07.

What Do You Do With a Drunken Princess? – Celestia, Luna, and Cadance get drunk and do crazy things at a club, much to the dismay of Twilight.

Chrysalis's First Royal Meeting – It's been two years since Chrysalis and her hive's reformation, but tensions are high as ponies are still getting used to the idea of working with changelings. Twilight Sparkle, determined to open up Chrysalis to the idea of friendship, convinces her to attend the annual royal meeting. To everypony else, it's simply a mundane meeting to catch up on current events. To Chrysalis, she would be in a room with all those who were once her mortal enemy.
No pressure.

An Overly Hesistant Pinkie – The dreaded day has arrived for Pinkie. The day she must tell her best friends about her relationship with Rarity, who, personally, can’t understand why Pinkie is so worried about telling their liberal minded friends.
But, as the event unfolds, it quickly becomes obvious that her hesitation does not stem from where Rarity thought it would.
A Raripie fanfic with a twist.

And here are the new chapters for "The Moon in the Dark":

-Woona slowly wakes up with Toriel and Asgore tending to her while the others watch. When Woona asks what happened to the seven human Sages, the group turns away and looks in shame, except for Sans, who says that they are in a better place. Asriel suddenly approaches the group and calls out for Woona.
-Toriel, Asgore, and Asriel tearfully reunite and embrace each other while the others watch and cry with the trio. When Sans breaks the emotional moment with a small joke, Chara, who has been restored to his human form, appears from a field of golden flowers, wearing a Heart Locket. He is embraced by his adopted family, who are once more breaking down with tears.
-Chara opens his Heart Locket. One side of it shows a picture of Chara and Asriel happily holding Woona up to the camera with smiles on their faces. The text "BBBFFs" is inscribed under it. The other half of the locket is outlined in red, with a quarter of it filled with dark blue and the rest of it filled with pale fog. Chara says that he is alive again, because he has a quarter of Woona's soul, which is roughly equivalent to the power of a human soul.
-Sans uses his powers and finds out that Asriel's soul is outlined with white and a sliver of blue. The rest of the soul is filled up with pale fog. Woona's soul had 26% of the portion missing, with the section filled in by shadows. Sans proclaims that they will have to fill in the shadowy portion of their souls over time as their souls recover, but "the scars of what they have done will remain."
-Asgore holds Toriel, Asriel, Chara, and Woona close together as they prepare to leave the Underground. He also tells Mettaton to tell everyone in the Underground that everyone is safe to go back to the surface.

-The Monsters in the Underground rush and gather towards the broken Barrier, with Asgore organizing the line and slowly leading them out of the Underground. Woona tells Chara to come to the surface with her, but Chara refuses due to the evil acts that humans wrought upon the world, and that his presence in the surface will contaminate the world where humans no longer exist.
-Red steps into the scene and hands Chara a box containing a worn dagger with an aura around it that is shaped like a full-sized sword. Placing the weapon into his inventory, Chara tells Woona to keep an eye on Asriel as Woona hops her way out of the Underground, leaving Chara (who is now the last King of the Humans) and Red behind.
-Woona and the others watch the sun rising behind a distant mountain. Woona remarks that her older sister is doing a good job using her magic to lift the sun into the skies above, much to the surprise of Toriel and the other boss Monsters (except Sans).
-Undyne, Asgore, and Papyrus race after each other around the mountains, with Sans using the shortcut to reach them, leaving Toriel, Asriel, and Woona behind. Toriel asks where Chara is, and both Asriel and Woona answer that "he feels that he has a job to do" Underground.
-With Woona now becoming an ambassador between Monsters and ponies, she walks with Asriel and Toriel on the mountain to meet with Celestia and the others.

-Celestia nervously paces back and forth on the open plains of the Canterlot Mountain. There have been reports of the sight of the Monsters emerging from the Underground and heading to Canterlot through the Everfree Forest, and she was called to lead her army out to defend against the looming threat that approached her and her people. She briefly recalls having a terrible fight with her sister, which led to the disappearance of Woona on the Canterlot mountain peak.
-The Monsters march towards the field and stops on the other side. They wait until one of them (Papyrus) says that he forgot to take his race car bed with him. The rest of the Monster "army" rushes back to the Underground to retrieve their personal belongings with them until a much smaller group is left behind, consisting of the Boss Monsters sans Papyrus and some of the Monsters from the various parts of the Underground.
-Woona emerges from the group and races across the field to glomp Celestia. After the brief reunion, Woona tells the other with her Royal Canterlot Voice to not attack the Monsters who took care of her.
-Princess Temmie emerges out of nowhere and hugs and greets Celestia. Woona giggles at Temmie's attempt to hug Celestia's muzzle, while Celestia confusedly stares at the strange creature in front of her.

-Asgore, Toriel, Undyne, Sans, and Asriel sit alongside with Celestia and Luna/Woona (Woona is a nickname given to Luna when Luna had trouble pronouncing her own name). After Luna tells her story to Celestia about her adventure in the Underground, Celestia briefly explains to the Monsters about the origin of Luna's nickname.
-Sans asks why Luna was in the Underground. Celestia says that it was because both of them got into a fight after Luna accidentally broke the cookie jar, causing Luna to run to the top of the mountain and trip her way down to the Underground. Toriel attempts to lighten the mood by offering everyone cookies, but when Celestia bites into one, she bursts into tears. Asgore decides to take Celestia and talk with her privately in a room while Sans decides to watch over them both.
-During her private talk with Asgore, Celestia explains that the cookies' recipe was similar to the cookies that she had with Luna, which was cinnamon and butterscotch. Asgore realizes that Celestia cried, because the cookies in the broken cookie jar reminded Celestia of her parents, who passed away two years ago. It turns out that the reason why Celestia and Luna broke into a fight was because Celestia was upset that Luna broke the one important symbol that reminded her of her parents. Asgore assures Celestia that both of the ponies are young and that they can easily fix the mistakes. He also tells her that she is not the only one who has made a mistake in the heat of grief and anger.
-Celestia explains that as a new ruler of Canterlot, she has to take a bunch of responsibilities that her parents had taken as rulers while taking care of Luna at the same time. Asgore asks why there is no Regent to aid her, to which a unicorn mare named Clover answers. She says that even after the unification of the three pony tribes, conflicts between the tribes still remained, and that no one tribe wanted a ruler who is one of the other two tribes. Celestia and Luna were the first two alicorns in the world who symbolized unity of the three tribes due to the fact that they had aspects of all three pony tribes. Their parents acted as their Regents, because no one would deliberately use their children for power. However, with the passing of Celestia and Luna's parents, no such Regent was available; so Celestia sacrificed her own childhood to take up her parents' responsibilities.
-Asgore asks Clover about the leader of the other two pony tribes who could seek for the best of all of the tribes. Clover says that she knows who to call for, and that the ponies are also her closest friends. Asgore tells Clover to gather them and have them meet with him and Toriel, so that they can find a way to ensure peace between Monsters and ponies.

Y'know, the last time that a MLP character transformed into something that wasn't a quadruped was the lizardman Rep (I can also include here the race of the swans known as The Penn), way back in the old times of G1.

Flashforward to The Times They Are A Changeling: Thorax is not only able to shape-shift into a dragon, he can also turn into a rock of all things. I guess with this (unless it's applied to a specific breed of changelings), their repertoire of transformations have no limits now. If they can turn into walls to merge with the environment, you can bet they will do it.

Anyway, Spike is now friends with a dragon lord and a changeling [deserter]. Things have gone pretty good.

Man, the last couple episodes have been rough for me--all for the same reason. They telegraph their plot right from the start. There's no suspense or intrigue. The changeling one strips it all away with the Spike/Thorax conversion, the derby one beats you over the head with the "vicarious living" thing for ten minutes, Mare Do Well the zombie one makes it obvious it's all just a prank, bro. It's really making it hard wanting to finish them when you know exactly what'll happen halfway through--sometimes just from the synopsis.

My condolences. Make sure to avoid Reflections, the Good, the Bad and the Ponies, the pets oneshot, the one with the griffons, Seige (sic) of the Crystal Empire, the Luna/Spike oneshot, and the Attack of the Killer Tomatoes parody--unless you enjoy disappoint and/or getting angry.

…because Pinkie was holding her back…

You know it's bad when Dash's S1 characterization is more mature and reasonable than her S6 one. As many have said, this episode would have worked pretty well in S1 or 2, but this late in the game, it's really off. The M6 react badly to being pranked, despite chuckling at it back in S1, Dash refuses to act in-character (aggressive, but still understanding of her friends) and instead contracts a fatal case of Plot Induced Dickishness Syndrome, the M6 have abysmal communication skills when talking with Dash (Pinkie's on her side, AJ and Rarity have terrible counterarguments), and the grandiose prank could have horribly backfired, as many a fanfic has already covered.

Holy moly guys, I think it finally happened. Kewln00b AKA the most apologetic fan on this board who could see no wrong in the show has lost interest in the show itself! Gasp I know, I don't know if it's a lousy second half of the season (combined with a 'meh' first half), all these fucking hiatuses, or just the fact that I got a new job and work when the episodes premiere but last two weeks I've had these Saturdays off and the last thing I wanted to do was wake up at 10 AM to watch the new episodes.

That being said, not done with the show. Just lost interest to go rush out and see the newest episode the second it aired like I've been doing for the last 6 years now as I've had multiple chances to watch these episodes and decided only to watch them right now because….I literally had nothing better to do for a little while. So I guess MLP will be my binge watching show from now on. So I guess I'll just give a quick rundown of what I felt since July 30th.

New Daring Do episode. Goddamn, I just need it to be revealed that the writer of this episode loves the Star Wars prequels. I don't like the prequels at all but I've seen people use this same defense for why they like the prequels but I do like seeing sound arguments like Patton Oswald (Seriously, didn't even know that was him until I came on this thread!) made at the end of the episode. Definitely my favorite episode from this chunk of episodes but that's not saying much. Coincidentally, Patton will be in the MLP movie as well…perhaps this was also part of his contract.

That Derby race episode…..Well, that episode was probably the MOST predictable episode in a long time. We could tell what was going to happen when Scootaloo wanted something artistic, Applebloom wanted something fast and Sweetie Belle wanted something traditional. It wasn't even the kind of predictable where MLP has had in the past but still made it interesting, this was just a bore.

I only caught the last few minutes of the Zombie episode….don't particularly care for going back for the first 15 minutes.

Spike and Thorax's Bogus Journey. This was decent, just decent. I do like how they give a little background to the Changelings and not made some big ol' 22 minute lore set up like I've seen people complain about (Seriously, saw people on the internet complaining that the plot was about Spike trying to make friends with a Changeling instead of making this the epic 3 part Changeling history episode!) it was predictable but in the MLP sense where they at least had their fun with it. Fun seeing Product Placement Flurry Heart again even for that short time.

Today's episode. It was….okay. Not too many thoughts about it despite this being one of those episodes they based on a concept hoping the nerds would freak out over (See Power Ponies) but just doesn't pay off. But unlike Power Ponies I feel like if I was a fan of Dungeons and Dragons I'd have fun with this episode whereas with Power Ponies I was a fan of comic books but just plain didn't care for that episode. Pretty funny gags though, well I mean it IS a Discord episode.

All in all, I think the show definitely lost more than….well just about every single original writer from Seasons 1 and 2. Will probably still take a while until I swear off the show, but now I worry if they'll even make it to season 9 like they say they want to with the way they're chugging around. Oh well, enough of my negativity! Time for some positivity! In about 3-4 days when someone finally posts something.

@Episode
6/10. Pretty average if you ask me and likely to be forgotten since it didn't really do much. I'm not a fa/tg/uy, so if there were any big DnD references, they went right over my head and the plot seemed to follow the standard Discord plot (he acts like a dick, they tire of him, and then let him back in). It also really got to me that Spike and Big Mac are playing a tabletop game… with only two people. I know very little about them, but I'd assume you can't really play one if one guy's the GM and one's the player.

I had hoped it would at least be like Power Ponies and have some cool designs and action scenes, but I guess they've blown the budget on the finale and had to do those incredibly lame paper cutout things instead. It really squandered what potential the episode had.

Honestly, I think it's just that Haber's a crap story editor/exec producer. The premises this season have been incredibly predictable, sometimes rehashing previous plots, and it all feels kind of phoned in, like there's not a lot of passion behind it and they're just checking off the "little girl show" boxes. Haber put it quite bluntly himself,

So here are the new fanfics I have read over the past couple of weeks:

The Sibling Situation – Dinky starts wondering why she keeps getting new brothers and sisters. This is, however, only the beginning of her problems.

Aunthood Issues – Sequel to Tantabus, Mk.II. Luna is forced to introduce the new and improved Tantabus to Celestia when it inadvertently reveals itself in Celestia's dream one night.

A Talk With a Prince – Thorax, the Changeling, is enjoying his time in the Crystal Empire after having been accepted by the ponies there. But, among all the smiles and welcoming greetings, there is one pony who has some rather pointed questions to ask. A followup of S06E16.

That Changeling's a Pony! – Like ponies, changelings can get pretty paranoid at times. After all, it's not every day that a changeling gets kicked out of the hive for being a pony.

The Boopening – A human (name is not known) enters a portal and finds himself in Equestria. He first meets Queen Chrysalis and befriends her after unintentionally booping her in the nose. The two become friends, and Chrysalis visits the human a few times per week in his home for a booping session, but their secret is eventually revealed to others when Twilight visits the human's home one day.

And last but not least, here is the last chapter of The Moon in the Dark

-"…and that's how Equestria was made," Celestia says as she closes the book on the Royal History of Equestria. Twilight is totally confused after hearing the tale from Celestia and asks what happened to the Monsters afterwards. Here are the following things Celestia tells to Twilight:

-Everyone who has been tied to the Elements of Harmony (Sans, Papyrus, Undyne, Alphys, Muffet, and Asriel) have turned immortal and have chosen to live in the Everfree Forest and other parts of Equestria. Asgore and Toriel's lifespans have expanded as well and have lived in various parts of Equestria along with the others. They will only grow old as long as Asriel does.
-Asriel had decided to explore the outside world to see how it looks like. When he returned, Luna had aged into a young mare. Celestia stops the story about Asriel at that point, since she wants to keep the rest of the story about Luna and Asriel as a secret.
-The Monsters have been secretly interbreeding with ponies and other species on Equestria, which led to the formation of various creatures such as the hydra, the chimera, etc..
-Two centuries after the peace treaty between the Monsters and the ponies, Asgore and Toriel had decided to go on a picnic near the Minotaur Kingdom. When the minotaurs threatened them, Asgore raised a wall of magic to prevent their attacks. After he lowered the wall, the minotaurs were in awe and had them become the King and the Queen of the Minotaurs due to their powers.
-Luna had succumbed to the Nightmare inside her soul due to the anger and jealousy building up inside of her. Rather than dealing with it, she hid it until it overwhelmed her.
-Blueblood is actually Celestia's grand-nephew. He is Princess Temmie's son.

-Asriel, now fully grown and standing up to Asgore's height, stares at the Tree of Harmony and thinks about all of the stuff he did as Flowey. Chara joins in; he is also an adult, but is still wearing a striped shirt, since Red thinks it fits him.
-Red steps out from behind the Tree of Harmony after changing her clothes to join in the conversation with the duo. Asriel asks Chara about how things are like in Tartarus and in Redemption's Path. He says that things are fine down there, but it was unnerving to see the Underground turn into a vastly different world. As for the Sage Souls' fragments, it has been turned into a single human form which is walking the Redemption's Path over and over again.
-It is said that the Path is designed so that a person's soul can atone for their crimes if they choose to walk the peaceful part of the path (Pacifist Route). However, walking the peaceful part of the Path means that there is always one being they cannot save, to represent the fact that expiating guilt does not erase the consequences of one's crimes.
-The human refuses to acknowledge this fact and continues to walk the Path in hopes that they can save Asriel one day. Basically, they are undergoing the adventure that Luna has gone through, but they cannot save Asriel like Luna did.
-The name of the human walking the Path? They call themselves "Frisk."

Now regarding season 6 of MLP: FiM, I'm enjoying it more than season 5. Although some of the recent episode this season has been a little weak ("The Carts Before the Ponies" and "28 Pranks Later"), the season's premiere and most of the episodes of the first half of the season were pretty amazing. Here were some of my favorite parts about season 6:

"The Crystalling Parts 1 and 2" – I love the character interactions and the roles they played to save the Crystal Empire. Starlight and Spike's chemistry with each other was excellent; seeing the princesses actually do something useful for once was nice; Flurry Heart is an evil baby that needs to be destroyed cute; and the interaction between Sunburst and Starlight was pretty awesome as well.
"The Gift of the Maud Pie" – I loved every scene with Maud Pie in it, especially when she was ice skating, "singing" with Pinkie Pie during the Pie Sister Swap Day, scaring the crap out of the pouch pony in order to get her sister's party cannon back, and giving her speech to Pinkie Pie at the end.
"On Your Marks" – This is the first CMC episode where none of the mane six appeared to help the Crusaders confront their problems. I was eager to see how the first post-cutie marked CMC episode would be like, and the writers nailed it.
"Gauntlet of Fire" – Tsundere dragon is best dragon. Oh, and her scenes with Spike was nice as well.
"No Second Prances" – Return of Trixie! I loved how despite being reformed, she still has her same attitude that she displayed in season 1.
"A Hearth's Warming Tail" – It's basically an MLP version of "A Christmas Carol" condensed into 22 minutes, but it was still entertaining. Twilight doing her Pinkie Pie voice was funny; Luna as Spirit of Hearth's Warming Yet to Come was pretty darn chilling.
"The Saddle Row Review" – Best episode of season 6 so far. I loved how the episode switches back from the flashback and to the mane six's interviews and how the mane six manages to successfully open up Rarity's store in Manehattan. Also, sweep sweep sweep sweep sweep!
"Applejack's 'Day' Off" – Rainbow Dash hangs out in the spa now?! My mind was officially blown when I realized this.
"Flutter Brutter" – This is one of the episodes where we get to see how much Fluttershy has grown throughout the series and has become an assertive character. She is definitely not super shy anymore. Her assertive character is also seen in "Dungeons and Discords."
"Stranger Than Fan Fiction" – I like how this episode was a jab towards fans who takes materials too seriously or refuses to acknowledge others' opinions.
"The Times They are a Changeling" – Pretty feelsy episode. It is nice to see that not every changeling is on Chrysalis's side.

With that said, I can't wait to see how the rest of season 6 will be like.

I can say a few things about Buckball Season (which I liked, by the way). First and foremost, Snails. I really liked how his character was handled, an overhaul if you could say it. 100% zen, turning off all thoughts within the mind to have a flawless focus during the training and the game itself against Braeburn and co.

Next, Fluttershy's brief burst of rage. I swear, every episode seems like a competition to understand who will win the "best face" award and Yellow Quiet took all of those awards in one full swoop. The transition between each expression was particularly good. It's just those little things that keep you going.

So looks like the annual leak of the season happened! But we have an excuse not to watch it as it was leaked in Poland and I can only watch my ponies with their English voices. That being said, I saw screenshots and I'm actually 'hyped' for this episode, mainly because there's a new waifu and there's always room in Kewln00b's Waifu folder for more waifus. Bring on the Saturday!

Since no one else provided the news on here despite everyone going crazy over the new episode in the comments for the entry, I will post the news even though I don't watch the show
^ no offense

The big news: there's a new character in the show. The name's "Gabby", a griffon who is a member of the Cutie Mark Crusaders.

GIFs:

The name of the episode is "The Fault in Our Cutie Marks" and the episode focuses on the new character and her quest for a Cutie Mark.

For more info here's the wiki page on the show and the page for the character.

I have to say, she's cute.

7.3/10. Best post-hiatus episode yet, just due to the simple fact they didn't telegraph the ending right from the start and didn't use a Standard Episode Plot like last week's "put a team together to fight an opponent" sports episode. I wonder how long Gabby will be the flavor of the month waifu character?

I'm like 2 seasons behind on this shit now but I just watched Fuckball Season and the new one for old time sake.

In Fuckball Season it seemed like Applejack and RD were trying way to hard to fill the conflict quota. "But muh farm's reputation tho guise!" Like if you were so worried about it why didn't you just play yourself ffs. Honestly I may have dropped this one halfway through if Pinkie wasn't in it.

The new one was pretty good, though. Gabby and I guess they're calling her Petunia Paleo were cute as fuck, but does this mean the mark on Zecora's butt isn't a cutie mark? It's kinda frustrating that they didn't at least address this off hand considering Zecora actually appeared in the episode.

literally best filly tbh

@Episode
7.5/10. It's amazing how much more interesting an episode can be when the writers throw a few curveballs every once in a while. While the plot was pretty strong and didn't default to the standard Flim Flam plot, Gladmane was an incredibly weak villain with an even more incredibly stupid evil plan.

"Evil corporate monopoly" plans (which are already pretty cliche) only really work when it involves something vitally important like food or water. Taking over a bunch of multimillion dollar hotels is pretty low on the "how badly are people screwed" list. Not only that, but the way in which he's going to accomplish it doesn't make sense. He'll buy billions of dollars worth of property by… offering his customers discounts. What? Standard Oil could undercut their competition because they were massive and could afford to hemorrhage money for a few years while the competition was bled dry.

A single resort in a town full of them that has a finite guest capacity? Not so much. If AJ and Fluttershy don't intervene, Gladmane goes either goes bankrupt in a few years or never makes enough money to buy out his competition. Either way his plan fails so it not only makes him look really stupid, but removes the sense of urgency from defeating him.

The writers either needed to beef up the evil plan to actually make it credible, or focus more on him screwing his employees and cut the nonsensical monopoly altogether.

A few days ago, I posted a couple of my favorite moments with Fluttershy in S06E20 in this thread. While several of the members loved how much Fluttershy has progressed throughout the series, one of the users have mentioned about how Fluttershy has been appearing in less episodes for some mysterious reason. The person also posted a video that he found relative to the discussion:

And here is the chart used in the video

While people there are concerned about Fluttershy not appearing a lot in the recent episodes, one of the users brought up a good point about this issue:

"Though actual screen time doesn't necessarily mean better appearances, as Rarity unfortunately demonstrated in this season. So maybe for characters like Fluttershy, who have a tendency to bounce up and down in potrayal quality, less is more."

What do you guys think about Fluttershy not appearing in a lot of main roles this season? Personally, I am saddened to see Fluttershy not getting a lot of main roles this season (even though Fluttershy is my third most favorite character of the mane six). But as one user mentioned, "less is more," so it may be a good thing that Fluttershy is not getting too many screen times like Rarity is.

How interesting. Mike Vogel, the former Vice President of Development for Hasbro Studios, has written four episodes this season. They are:

"A Hearth's Warming Tail"
"Spice Up Your Life"
"Stranger than Fan Fiction" (co-written by Mike Vogel and Josh Haber)
"Every Little Thing She Does"

S06E08 was excellent; S06E12 was pretty good; and S06E13 was very awesome. So will the upcoming episode will be a hit like the other three episodes? We'll have to wait this Saturday. Vogel has been one of the reasons why I've been enjoying season 6 so far, so I hope "Every Little Thing She Does" will be a great episode.

@Blue Yoshi
I think it's better to focus on a couple of characters each episode than try to shoehorn them all in like they did in past seasons. I like what they did with Fluttershy this season, she's been more memorable than Twilight (the one with more screen time according to the chart).

Blue Yoshi wrote:

Mike Vogel, you have done it again! That was another excellent episode written by him! He deserves a trophy for writing these awesome episodes this season.

I agree – it's one of the best this season. It's a classic "Book Horse goes crazy" episode, which we haven't really seen too much since princess purple got her promotion. Nice to see the old standbys get updated to the new canon.

Oh hey guys, just letting you know the new Equestria Girls movie leaked I mean can't really say it was leaked. More like, the English dub being aired in Brazil because who gives a fuck amirite? I mean not like they were hoping to bring in some good cash with that Netflix exclusivity and DVD sales. I mean it's not like it was even recorded in awful quality so it's not like trying to watch Equestria Girls 1 or 2 back when they were released in theaters or anything.

In case you couldn't tell by the fact that this is nothing more than text on a screen and that you can't tell the tone of my voice I'm calling the people who decided that this would be a good idea, fucking retarded.

THAT BEING SAID, I watched it. Pretty sacrilegious to be two episodes behind on the actual show (I mean count that 4 since I still haven't watched Applejack's Day Off and "Episode that was named to get in on the zombie fad" in their entirety) and decide to watch Equestria Girls instead but I mean it leaked in some pretty good quality a week before it releases on Netflix, are you seriously not going to jump on that deal?

That being said, it was Equestria Girls. It was about on the same level as the last two (because I've said before that I don't like the original, but then again not many do!) so whether that's a good or bad thing is entirely up to you. Thought it was fun, just good clean fun. They definitely tried stepping it up from the other movies like Pony has been doing since season 1 and it shows, despite having some flaws in other areas.

Ending was just plain bad in my opinion though, trying to give no spoilers OBVIOUSLY but luckily my problem with the ending can be solved without spoiling (I hope)…..fuck it, I'm spoiler tagging it just because I know people will complain. People will always complain!

See, the problem isn't like the writing of the ending or anything……I mean kind of is but not like in a way of traditionally bad writing, but bad writing as in it's rushed to all hell. In fact, I think it was done reasonably well and tied everything up. The problem however is they completely fucked up when they got to this point. You see, near the climax they introduce what is going to be the event that's going to be the event that they close this movie with. A very simple problem, beat the badguy save the day and make everything better!

So they do what they do at the end of every Equestria Girls movie, there's friendship and rainbows and all of life's problems are solved! OR ARE THEY?! Well yeah, they beat the badguy but at this point the writers must've realized that they only have SIX MINUTES left of the movie because Hasbro says "70 minutes is all you get guys, take it or leave it." and unfortunately "make everything better" is still unfinished. So with six minutes left they basically pull a Season 5 finale and just half ass it with a musical montage which essentially leaves me with nerd rage as I thought the movie was really solid up until the writers met their own worst enemy, the runtime.

Guess I should watch the episode about tit-face pony and "How Starlight Glimmer fucks everything up" now to makeup for my sin of watching this movie before catching up with ponies.

I watched EqG4 and it was ok, they improved the animation but the writing and songs weren't the best so Rainbow Rocks is still my favorite EqG movie.

They tried to mix a camping slice of life movie with a fantasy magical adventure one, so they ran out of time and rushed things in the end… again. Also, why does Human Twilight have wings in her "pony up" form? It would make more sense if she didn't since she isn't Bookhorse or if Baconwaifu had them as well since both transformed into she-demons.

How many times are they going to friendship nuke the villain? The main series does it all the time (but better) and Friendship Games was the only movie one where they did something different.

Ok, i'll give my two bits (he he) about the EQG Twilight thing.

Since she absorbed some magic from Rarity, Fluttershy, Applejack, etc, she should have the magic of all three races of ponies making her an alicornwhen she ponies up.

About the last topic, i seriously want to hug that adorable sociopath, she is so fcuking cute.

Copypasting my review from Fimfiction:

4/10.

…you're accusing him of being downright evil!

--Fluttershy, referencing Twilight's accusation that Discord's mind controlling the Mane 5.

Legend of Everfree was pretty good. I still stand by that there's nothing that those movies do that couldn't be done better by the show, but whatever. Derpy was cute. And she said something outside of episode 100!

I watch EQG for the pandering.

It's that time of the year again. Another episode and another mythological being shows up.

Coming directly from Australia, the creature usually resided in swamps, billabongs, creeks, riverbeds, and waterholes. Often described with "a dog-like face, a crocodile like head, dark fur, a horse-like tail, flippers, and walrus-like tusks or horns or a duck-like bill."

Its name translated by Aboriginal Australians means "devil" or "evil spirit" but later, with a larger Australian community, its meaning became variable, using synonyms such as impostor, pretender, hambug and other similar terms.

Apparently, "P.P.O.V." was written by the Fox brothers, who also wrote S06E03 and S06E10. Based on my observations, it seems that they like to play around with various characters, such as:

-Rarity acting like Pinkie Pie in S06E03.
-Applejack doing a chicken impression in S06E10.
-Applejack acting like a pirate in S06E22.

They went full on with the characters acting crazy, weird, silly, or just plain out of character, which I definitely enjoyed. But the episode's ending was pretty shoddy and left a sour taste in my mouth. So, overall, I think this was the weakest episode written by the Fox brothers.

I think my ratings for their episode would be:

"The Gift of the Maud Pie" – 9.5/10 (Very entertaining and fun episode. Rarity bouncing around will never get old for me.)
"Applejack's "Day" Off" – 8.3/10 (Not too special, but it was still a nice little slice of life episode.)
"P.P.O.V." – 7.5/10 (An entertaining episode with a weak conclusion.)

Here's my rating scale for the episodes:

9.0-10 – Excellent episode. Loved every minute or nearly every minute of it.
8.0-8.9 – Great episode. Had a lot of things that I liked. Episode also had a few flaws, but it didn't detriment my enjoyment of the episode. Most of the episodes I watched would earn this rating.
7.0-7.9 – Good episode, but there were some things that annoyed me while I was watching it.
6.0-6.9 – Meh episode. There was hardly anything in the episode that I enjoyed.
5.9 or lower – Your episode was bad, and you should feel bad.

All right. So I decided to watch the episode again and enjoyed it a bit more. Rarity's exaggeration of Applejack as a pirate was hilarious; Pinkie Pie's exaggeration of Rarity was hilarious (team of border ponies, throwing away the cucumber sandwiches for no reason, wearing fancy clothes); and Applejack's exaggeration of Pinkie Pie (being all weird and crazy) and Rarity (being super fancy for a simple boat trip) was funny as heck.

I had to go to other websites to see if there was a person who was able to tell what the ending was about. Apparently, one user on Fimfiction pointed out that it was a parody of how detectives in a mystery story would come up with a random conclusion to explain what really happened in the past. So overall, I now have a better understanding of the episode and will have to change my rating of the episode to a higher rating.

Oh shoot! The rumors are true! Season 6 finale is airing in the UK! I had to get out of Equestria Daily before people started posting about what they are seeing!

Looks like I'm gonna have to set spoiler tags for S06E24, S06E25, and S06E26 on Derpibooru.
