Yeah, I don't get the backlash either. To me, the narrative was the bog-standard "party a makes jokes about party b, party a means no harm but party b feels hurt. A and b learn lessons." I'm starting to think that there is a growing set of bronies who don't want anything bad to happen to Dash. Ever.

Each day we stray from Cupcakes's light.

I say, best all around episode when it comes to the technical aspects. I've noticed this season has a slightly different animation style…and by that I mean it's a lot faster and hell of a lot more fluid than other seasons and this episode definitely shows that off. Music was great, definitely think Pinkie Pie's song was the best of the songs, mainly because I like the upbeat musics.

But when it comes to the story/plot…well, I mean I guess it was time for My Little Pony to do the Christmas Carol at one point in time. It was basic, we knew what was coming (I mean, it's The Christmas Carol. How can you not?) but it was passable.

Realizing that Twilight was singing these songs to Starlight in the middle of the story

On top of that, she was singing in her Pinkie Pie voice, which is a thing apparently.

Who knew all it took to make Starlight look nicer was to change up her bangs

When I saw that she had her original bangs back all I could think of was "Wow, she's suddenly a cunt again!"

Oh hai Snape

Dear sweet sweet Brony Fandom, someone please make this into a real decoration.

Honestly, once I realized it was another "A Christmas Carol" I turned it off. Been there done that. It's weird, because while it's obviously a non-denominational Christmas, Hearth's Warming eps tend to do a pretty good job of being its own thing with Equestria-specific world building and traditions. I could tell today's ep was going to be full-on human Christmas which I don't know if I apprici-

Ooooooo I am the ghost of KYM forums past ooooooooooo!

God damn it…

HISTORIC MOMENT!

Octavia's butt! Never before seen!

Anyway, yeah, nice episode. I've only seen it through once but it was pretty well written, which is a good thing because it's an undeniably cliched premise. It couldn't really afford to be done badly. Also, I noticed Luna has a new singing VA! Maybe this will mean more Luna songs in the future.

I swore to myself I wasn't gonna check here until I'd finished catching up on the episodes I've been putting off… But then that one moment happens…

"How do you get your hair to do that all the time?" – Episode 6.

GOD DAMN IT THEY FINALLY ASKED!

Seriously, as much as I like my theory its just a matter of vast power; it would be nice to get an actual explanation.

As a side note: How many episodes left after 6 so far? I haven't checked.

Meanwhile, in my own works of MLP/Homestuck crossovers:

Having trouble drawing poses… Only just noticed the forelimbs aren't thick enough, but not sure if torso is wrong, if hips are too big, or if head too big:

… And here is me deciding Alicorns should be the new "Super Saiyan Bargain Sale" in my work.

I actually finished coloring in that later one, but I haven't posted the full update so… Yeah.

… I'm also not exaggerating about the Alicorn bargain sale… Besides certain inevitabilities given the character, I seem to have reached the conclusion that if one of the good guys gets to do it; then one of the bad guys get to do it as well. (For the first time at least. Mainly to prevent a case of the Sues.)

Honestly, this has to be the best episode of the season so far. There were almost no dull spots, pretty much every joke landed, and the plot had that great manic feel you see in other top-tier episodes. 10/10

Great episode. My question is, are ALL of those ponies going to keep working for Rarity? I don't know if she can afford to keep DJ Pon-3, Plaid Stripes, Coco Pommel, 3 racoons, Blue Bobbin AND those other two sales associates on payroll.

So remember that scene in S06E09 where the Pinkie Pie clone gets discovered for a second before the scene cuts away into another scene? Well, someone wrote a fanfic about it here. You can read another fanfic that seems to be a serious take on the scene here.

Anyways, here are the fanfics I have read the past couple of weeks.

The Shippers Cometh – Apple Bloom is shipped with Tender Taps. And now, she has become the target of shipping fanarts, fanfics, and other fan works. Apple Bloom does not approve of this.

Night's Silk – Luna ruins a painting. No big deal, it was just the night after all. Also, she gets a visit from Twilight Sparkle.

Princess Celestia and the Terrible, Horrible…but Still Slightly Good, Actually Not So Bad Dinner – Takes place after S06E06. After the terribly mismanaged dinner by Twilight Sparkle, Celestia returns to her room in a frustrated mood. Discord and Luna visit her to try and cheer her up.

The Truth Is… – After finding Discord hiding out in his closet, Twilight Sparkle soon learns the most horrible of truths about herself and the world surrounding her. Except they're not really truths. They're just weird stuff made up by Discord. Maybe.

Twilight Shares The Narrator – Story about the mane six hearing the narrator while he is doing his job. Hilarity ensues.

This is one of the stories that I have followed that is now finally completed. The author is considering about writing another sequel if the readers want to.

"I'm Not CUTE!" – Fluttershy never thought she would be called "Cute" before. Now that she has, she doesn't like it one bit.

And last but not least, here are the updates for "The Moon in the Dark".

-Woona heads towards the MTT Hotel and into the Core, where she meets two mysterious figures that vanish before her sight. She tries to go the elevator that'll take her straight to the top of the Core, but it doesn't work.
-Alphys instructs Woona to go to the right of the elevator through Woona's phone. Woona says that the path leads to a pit of fire. Alphys realizes that someone has rearranged the chambers in the Core but tries to help Woona out anyway.
-Woona heads to the left path, where she encounters a Madjick. Woona decides to clear her mind and think of Papyrus's spaghetti while evading Madjick's orbs at the same time. The Madjick leaves after a while, allowing Woona to proceed.
-Woona encounters an electrical barrier that requires her to activate the switch and avoid the lasers at the same time. When Alphys tells Woona to dodge the lasers at a certain order, Woona says that the lasers' orders might have changed and that she cannot trust the original lasers' paths to dodge the lasers. So Woona follows her own advice to dodge the lasers when she hits the switch. (And it works.)
-Woona encounters a crossroads that leads north and east. Chara projects forward and returns, saying that the north path is a dead end guarded by a monster called a Knight Knight. So Woona heads east.
-Woona approaches a long bridge. Alphys says that there are blue lasers that will prevent Woona's progress. So Alphys decides to shut off the power temporarily and instruct Woona to move before the lasers turn back on. Woona manages to reach the other side and races to the path to the north.
-Woona encounters a four-way intersection. Alphys says that she has no idea where Woona should head next, since the map's completely different from what she's seeing. Woona says that she'll figure out the path with determination guiding her.

-The path to the east reads "Path of the Warrior" while the path to the west reads "Path of the Scholar". Alphys tells Woona through the phone that the "Path of the Warrior" has several monsters guarding it, while the "Path of the Scholar" has several puzzles to solve. Because Woona loves to solve puzzles, she heads to the west.
-Woona solves the block-shooter puzzle that she has seen before. She then maneuvers through the Core to reach a door surrounded by unusual symbols. Alphys tells Woona that the door leads to the castle. She also says that the Core's control chamber does not allow active communications, so she is forced to hang up. Woona tells Alphys to rework the elevators in the meantime.
-Woona steps through the door. She steps onto a platform, where Mettaton is waiting for her. Woona identifies Mettaton as a Blook, and the body that he is in is actually a metallic body made by Alphys.
-When Mettaton asks how Woona knew about this, Woona tells Mettaton that he became uncomfortable when she "smooched" Napstablook. She also mentions about a house next to Napstablook's, but the ghost doesn't like to look at it for some reason.
-Woona mentions about her first encounter with Flowey and how she got hurt when he tried to share LOVE with her. Woona thought that after the encounter, she was not able to make friends with anyone and that she could not be loved. However, Toriel helped remind Woona that she can be loved. So Woona set out on a quest to befriend every Monster in the Underground. Mettaton is intrigued by this and hopes to one day perform for the Underground dwellers.
-Suddenly, Woona uses her magic to throw a switch that causes the platform both Mettaton and Woona are on to rise high into the air. She tells Mettaton that she will befriend Mettaton no matter the cost and flips the switch behind his back.
-As the stage comes to a halt and smoke and spotlights start to fill the stage, Woona promises that she will give the greatest performance ever for everyone she knows.

-"Ohhhh, yes…."

As cheers start to build around the stage, the silhouette of Mettaton's new body starts to appear. Mettaton then promises to make Woona's attempt at befriending him "absolutely beautiful".
-Mettaton in his EX form starts to dance as a "Rating" screen appears to show how many viewers are watching the show. Woona tries to dance with Mettaton, but she falls over. Chara advises Woona to use her wings to support herself. Woona uses her magic to dance around Mettaton's legs and his flurry of dance movements. Fireworks go off in the background as Woona and Mettaton pose.
-Ratings start to go up as Woona beckons Mettaton to attack her. He does, but Woona dodges to one side while Chara's spirit emerges on the other side. Woona dodges small Mettaton-shaped robots falling from the top and climbs higher while Chara dodges Mettaton's attacks. Woona falls back down and Chara leaps on top of Mettaton as they form a tower on top of the robot.
-Woona and Chara use their shortcuts to pull out other performers: Alphys and Napstablook. Both of the new performers proceed to headbang to the music while dancing at the same time. All five of the performers dance for a long time until Mettaton's power starts to give out. Mettaton then start to look at the ratings before he stops dancing: 25,000.
-Mettaton announces that he will start a viewer call in milestone. Monsters including Monster Kid, Papyrus, and Undyne praise the quintet's performance. The final call was from Asgore, whom Chara recognizes. Apparently, he watched the performance and saw Chara's soul manifest out of Woona….
-Before Mettaton loses his power, he thanks Woona one last time for making the performance absolutely wonderful to him. Alphys tells Woona that she can power Mettaton back up again in the Lab. Woona, filled with Determination, decides to help Alphys as she opens a shortcut back to the Lab.

-Alphys heads to her lab to recharge Mettaton. She tells Woona to go back to the Core to reach Asgore, but Chara intervenes. Alphys is surprised to hear that she can hear Chara's voice.
-Woona realizes that her magic resonated when Chara talked, since her soul is now attuned with Chara's spirit. This means that Chara is now becoming more real since he's stayed for a long time inside Woona's body.
-Chara starts to ask about Gaster, the previous Royal Scientist, but Alphys shuts him up, telling him that he must not be remembered by any Monsters. Alphys drinks a potion called the "Five-minute Retcon" to forget what happened before.
"Beware the man who speaks in hands…."
-Chara opts to ask about the other Fallen Children. Alphys asks the duo if they know anything about Monster Food. Woona answers by saying that Monster Food lacks nutrients to make a person grow. Alphys begins to explain about how Toriel possesses the ingredients to make Monster Food with nutrients and that Asgore does not know how to do so. So when the other children wandered outside the Ruins, they began to starve to death. Asgore's only option was to take away their pain by killing them.
-Once a human leaves the Ruins, the only way to survive is to take Asgore's soul and cross the barrier. Asgore knows about this, so when a human reaches him, he takes away their power to grant him Mercy and gives them a choice to kill or be killed. Chara broods about this and wonders whether Asgore can be saved or not.
-Chara's thoughts are interrupted as Woona's body surges with magic. She becomes filled with rage and Determination and sets on a single goal once she reaches Asgore: to destroy the barrier no matter the cost.

For those who don't get the joke, it's fairly common to mix ecstasy into a ring-pop so you can take it less conspicuously. Sucking on one also helps get rid of dry-mouth without you having to keep a drink nearby.

So yeah, that rave pony is having some super fun times right there.

Ring-pops or pacifiers. From the Wikipedia on rave culture:

"As well as clothing there developed a range of accessories carried by many ravers including:… pacifiers to satiate the need to grind one's teeth (bruxism) caused by taking MDMA, and glow sticks which adjunct the mild psychedelia of MDMA's effect. This led some clubs and event organizers to search participants on entry and confiscate such items due to it being evidence of drug use inside the venue."

So…..I'm just going to assume that I'm basically the "Party Starter" here where people will only talk about the new episode if I speak about it 0.5 seconds after the episode is done airing and not the fact that nobody here watched the episode as well. Because I'll be pretty honest, I always make sure to read the little wikipedia synopsis a few days before the episode comes out and I gave it a quick read and thought "Oh….THIS plotline again. I'm sure they'll find a way to use ponies to make it interesting." then I saw the preview clip. Not a good clip at all. I decided to sleep in on that day and all in all I'm pleased to see that the general thoughts on this episode were "Mega-meh".

Don't think this is Pony decline but I just think at this point we might see some more of these "So Meh you don't even need to see the episode the second it premieres" for a while. If anything I'm more excited about THIS next episode as it's been rumored since season 5 premiered. Could end up being a "Super Mega-Meh" episode but hey, at least I'm excited for this next episode.

Hey, I'm new here and this is my first post on the forums.

Personally, I've noticed that ever since Season 3, the 10th episode has been a dumping ground for the worst episode of the season; what's particularly noticeable is that it comes after an good or even excellent episode, so the failings are even more prominent. For example:

Season 3 Episode 10 was "Spike at Your Service", coming off the heels of the solid "Apple Family Reunion".
Season 4 Episode 10 was "Rainbow Falls", which was right after the splendid "Pinkie Apple Pie".
Season 5 Episode 10 was "Princess Spike", which came after the 100th episode, "Slice of Life", an episode that needs no introduction.
And now we have "Applejack's 'Day' Off", coming after what is likely the best episode in the season, and one of the best episodes in the show's history.

I can attest that it was a very dull episode, especially when you consider how phenomenal last week's episode was. Actually, it was almost like its antithesis. Where "The Saddle Row Review" had good pacing, great visual gags and a nicely layered plot, this was the total opposite. It was just totally uninteresting, with both horrible pacing (why not have any cutbacks to the farm showing spike and twilight engaging in some hi jinks to break up the time spent at the spa?) and a moral that kind of comes out of nowhere (if the scene at the end had been placed in the beginning, it could have drawn a nice parallel between Applejack's arbitrary methods and the Spa's inefficiency).

It's not a decline in quality. I'd rather say it's both a continuation of a perplexing trend and a bad episode wrung out of a young pair of writers. Chuck Jones once said “Every artist has thousands of bad drawings in them and the only way to get rid of them is to draw them out.” The two who wrote this episode also wrote "The Gift of the Maud Pie" (not a bad episode in itself), so I say we should just be patient and let them sharpen their skills.

I wouldn't say it was a bad episode (compared to Princess Spike) but also not a good one so i guess we just don't have much to say about it.

Yeah, i really wanted to see Twilight doing silly stuff.

I hope the next 2 episodes are good because after that we'll get a mid-season hiatus.

Are we really about to fit 5 episodes into one page? Jeeze, this place really HAS slowed down hasn't it? You picked the worst time to join us, AyPaisan. Maybe the thread title was more appropriate than we thought and we'll be able to fit the entire rest of the series into it.

Anyway, regarding the upcoming episode:

How is it that this show, even 6 seasons in, is still able to randomly pull out new siblings for the Mane characters? I mean I don't mind, but it's amazing how this keeps happening.

We have Sweetie Belle (being revealed as Rarity's sister 5 episodes after being introduced), Shining Armor, Maud Pie, and now Fluttershy's brother who I think is to be named Zephyr Breeze. That's 4/6 characters! I swear, they had better not give Rainbow Dash a biological sibling or I'm gonna be mad.

Does this mean Fluttershy's last name is Breeze? "Fluttershy Breeze." Eh, the pony naming system is all messed up anyway. We'll see whether the credits call her parents "Mr and Mrs Breeze" or "Mr and Mrs Shy."

It's cool we'll be seeing Fluttershy's parents, by the way. Nice to know they're not dead. Now we just need to know about Dash's mum and we'll have status on all the Mane 6 parents. Assuming of course Rainbow Blaze is actually her dad and not just an uncle or an older cousin. Personally i like to think that he's Dash's step-dad, and Dash's mum just has a thing for rainbow manes.

Yes, I know that's a stupid headcanon. No, I don't care.

So, about the episode…

I liked it, best Fluttershy episode IMO. Zephyr is a manipulative jerk most of the time but i can at least relate to his fear of failure.

Fluttershy's parents are cute.

What if Zelda was a pony?

And i'm trying to get a job, Fluttershy, no need to make me soup.

No new fanfic reading for the past couple of weeks. But I have read the new chapters for some of the fanfics I'm following.

Reticence – The story's currently at the part where Marble Pie is back home with her sister, Limestone Pie. Marble says that she set herself and Limestone both on a double date with Minuette and Lemon Hearts, respectively. Limestone is upset when she hears this. Then, when Marble reveals her crush to Minuette to her parents, they tell her to visit the Pairing Stone, which reveals a pony she doesn't know about. Marble is really sad about what she saw, but Limestone soothes her younger sister by agreeing to go on a double date, even though she doesn't like the idea.

Tiny Twilight Tales- In one of the previous chapters, filly Twilight visits Luna in her dream and somehow manages to pull Luna out of the moon and into her bed. The next day, both Twilight and Luna (who is somehow a filly) spend a nice morning with each other.

Letters from an Irritated Princess – Celestia writes a letter to Applejack regarding her questionable method to fix the steam bath using duct tapes.

Twilight Manages to Screw Up More Than Usual – The alternate mane six (Twilight Sparkle, Derpy, Bon-Bon, Lyra, Vinyl, and Octavia) travel through the Everfree Forest with Spike, Cadance, Shining Armor, and chained up Nightmare Moon but they are captured by Chrysalis and the changelings. They manage to take out the changelings, but:

-Discord is freed and traps Celestia partially with his magic. Then he frees Nightmare Moon so that she can kill Celestia. The chains that used to bind Nightmare turn into a bunch of snakes that breathe out more snakes. And he finally zaps the Elements of Harmony away.
-Cadance is nearly drained of all of her power by Chrysalis.
-Twilight uses up all of her magic by trying to fight Chrysalis and her changeling minions.

Luckily, the group makes it out of the hive by convincing Chrysalis to destroy the snakes trying to invade her lair. Apparently, Chrysalis no longer wants to deal with the group, since she'll get a frying pan to the head if she tries to show any signs of aggression towards the group again.

Twilight tells Shining Armor and Spike to head to Ponyville to get Cadance healed up in the hospital. The alternate mane six then arrive to the Tree of Harmony, where they hope that it contains the answers they seek to defeat Discord and Nightmare Moon.

Bad Dude and the Coalition of United Terrible Evils – Bad Dude, the leader of his villain group known as C.U.T.E. (Coalition of United Terrible Evils), hosts a party featuring nearly all of the villains in Equestria. Discord feels bored during the party, so he stops the party by giving the partygoers a challenge: steal Celestia's crown, and the winner becomes a member of C.U.T.E..

All of the villains use various methods to invade Canterlot Castle to steal Celestia's crown, but one of the villains, a small pegasus colt named Terrible Colt, seizes this opportunity by reigning terror upon Canterlot and the other villains by burning some of the buildings and telling the citizens to fear him using his megaphone. Then, he proceeds to use his homemade weapons to try and steal the crown. Bad Dude does not like what Terrible Colt is doing, so he secretly tells a trio of changeling minions summoned by Chrysalis to prevent Terrible Colt from winning the challenge.

Sunset Shimmer currently has Celestia's crown, BTW.

This is a useless fact, but as of today, I have now read three fanfics that are over 100,000 words long:

"Twilight Manages to Screw Up More Than Usual"
"Bad Dude and the Coalition of United Terrible Evils"
"Anthropology"

Well, I was going to post up the chapter updates for "The Moon In the Dark", but I'm out of word limit. So, I'm going to do a double post to post the updates.

-Woona exits the lab, ready to pursue her mission no matter the cost…, and then she receives a call from Undyne, who asks her to deliver something for her. So, Woona accepts Undyne's request and uses the shortcut to teleport to Sans and Papyrus's house in Snowdin.
-Undyne asks Woona to deliver a letter to Alphys. Woona asks if it's a love letter to her, but Undyne denies it while blushing, even though her nose starts bleeding when she realized that Alphys was dancing on TV with a black bodysuit during Mettaton's dance show. Woona takes the letter before she starts to hear more of the conversation between Undyne and Papyrus.
-Woona delivers the letter to Alphys. Alphys blushes and realizes that it's a letter asking for a date from Undyne. Because Alphys is afraid that she will look like a total nerd when she goes out on an actual date with Undyne, Woona offers to help Alphys practice for the upcoming date. Alphys agrees to go to the garbage dump area to practice for the date while Woona teleports to Snowdin and tells Undyne to get ready as well. After Undyne gets ready, Woona uses the shortcut to teleport both of them to a certain location in the garbage dump, where she tells Undyne to watch Woona and Alphys do a practice date together.
-Woona draws an Undyne mask, wears it, and pretends to be Undyne during the pretend date. When Alphys asks about how she looks, Undyne gives a thumbs up from behind and Woona says that she looks pretty good. Alphys shows gifts meant for Undyne to Woona, and Woona says that they are perfect for her.
-When Alphys asks why she chose her for the date, Woona/Undyne says that its due to Alphys's passion for the things she loves to do. Chara then asks how Alphys feels about Undyne, but Alphys is too embarrassed to do so. So she tries to say how Papyrus would say about Undyne. Alphys obliges, but she stammers.
-Suddenly, Woona says, "Shut up and kiss me, dork!" When Alphys proclaims that Undyne would not actually say those words, Undyne steps out of her hiding spot and says that she would actually say them. Undyne says that Woona would behave exactly how Undyne would behave in her date with Alphys. Both Monsters start to kiss, but Papyrus steps out of nowhere and tells them that they shouldn't do it in front of a child.
-Woona resets back to the lab, so that she can come up with a plan to distract Papyrus. She creates a puzzle to stall Papyrus before he can interrupt the kissing scene. The date goes well this time, and Papyrus is unable to stop Woona in time.
-The scene ends with Papyrus telling Woona how he "solved" the puzzle that was supposed to be impossible in the first place.

-After hanging out with Papyrus in the junkyard, Woona takes a shortcut back to the lab to check on Mettaton. Alphys says that he is fully recharged and is with Napstablook.
-Alphys stands in front of an elevator that leads to her "greatest mistakes". Apparently, she has been hiding it for a long time until now. Woona decides to follow Alphys and to where the elevator would take them.
-Suddenly, the elevator starts to malfunction, and the elevator starts to drop at a rapid pace until it crashes to the bottom. When the group wakes up, Alphys states that the generator powering the True Lab is not working, so the elevator dropped. The scientist then states that they need to collect the restart keys and reactivate the generator as soon as possible, since the area is guarded by strange creatures.
-The group passes a long and creepy area and finds a screen lit up with data. Woona immediately realizes that the data contains information about Alphys's experiment involving fusing Monsters with Determination, so that Monsters could break the barrier after absorbing the human souls. Chara further explains that they know about this from a mysterious character that they will not mention to Alphys (Gaster's the mysterious character).
-When Chara mentions about the Soulstone, Alphys asks about how she knows about it. Woona says that she got it from a white dog in the Ruins who tried to steal Toriel's cell phone. Alphys starts to hyperventilate as soon as she sees the Soulstone around Woona's neck. Chara is not amused by this, and blames Woona for breaking her.

-Alphys manages to control her breath and proceeds to ask how Woona uses the Soulstone. Woona explains that she can tap into the Soulstone's Determination without being overwhelmed by it. Alphys tells Woona that the large amount of Determination crystallized in the Soulstone can have unexpected results. Chara heeds Alphys's words and tells Woona to do the same thing as well.
-Chara asks what Alphys does in her experiments in the True Lab. The scientist tells the duo that her goal was to extract Determination from the human Souls and use them to strengthen the Monster's souls in order to break the barrier. But the problem was that Monsters cannot handle Determination in large quantities. The Soulstone was created to absorb Determination from Monsters if they absorb a bunch of them.
-Alphys then explains that Mettaton was created to tap reserves of Determination stored within his body enough to allow his Soul to gain the properties of a human Soul. In order to test her experiment on Determination on Monsters, Alphys gathered Monsters who had "fallen down" but did not completely vanish and injected them with Determination. The experiment was successful at first, but something went wrong, and so Alphys hid the Monsters in the True Lab where no one can see them.
-Alphys takes chips from the vending machines and tells Woona to give the chips to Monsters in case she runs into them and if they are hungry. Then, she takes the right path of the intersection while Woona takes the left path to see the results of Alphys's experiments.
-Woona sees a note on the ground that tells her that something important is inside one of the sinks. She proceeds to turn them on and off until she does it to the third one. The sink fills with white goo which materializes into a fusion of several Monsters.
-The Monster says in a static-y voice to join the fun. Woona tells the Amalgamate, which is known as Memoryhead, that she doesn't want to. Memoryhead is disappointed but departs, leaving a red key behind. Woona uses the key to activate a node.
-Woona returns to the main path to find that a red diode above a door to the generator was lit. Alphys tells Woona that no Monster approached her when she went to the path. Woona suddenly realizes that she must find the keys without Alphys around.

-Alphys confidently states that she'll turn the main power on as soon as Woona activates the fourth and last node that is locking the door to the Power Room. Chara remarks about Alphys's tone, and she replies by stating that she is determined to face what she has done. Woona nuzzles against Alphys before heading to the right from where Alphys was in the previous chapter.
-Woona encounters a path that leads them to north or east. After a brief discussion, Woona heads to the north path while reading a bunch of panels regarding Alphys's experiments. Entry #15 by Alphys spoke of a happy ending, but the 16th entry was full of "no"s. Woona asks Alphys through the phone about what happened to the Monsters who were experimented on. Alphys replies that the Monsters who were revived with too much Determination started to melt while dying and fused together. The result are Amalgamates which roam the True Lab.
-Woona finds herself in a bathroom with a pink curtain pulled in front of the bath. The figure inside pulls the curtain back, but the Monster who pulled the curtain is not there. Woona finds the green key inside the bathtub, grabs it with her magic, and dashes out of the bathroom as soon as possible.
-Woona dashes into the hall and finds a DT Extractor. After Alphys explains about what the object is, an Amalgamate named "Lemon Bread" appears in front of Woona. Woona hums the song that when she encountered Shyren. Then she flexes like what Aaron did when she first encountered him. Lemon Bread smiles and draws back while reminiscing the things that Woona did.
-Woona calls Alphys and states that the fused Monsters still have connections with their family members based on her encounters. She decides to find other Amalgamates and the keys to test her theory out.

@The episode

I'm actually pretty conflicted.

See, the main conflict of the story was clearly Zephyr's inability to get his shit together and the toll that it's taking on his family. Everyone else was clearly in the right from the start – the only possible exception here being the parents, mainly because they (arguably) ought to have been harsher on Zephyr than they were. The fact is, the guy was an inconsiderate jerk from the start of the episode until just before the end.

. . . which is the problem. Since Zephyr is the main locus of the episode's conflict, he's also the only place where we can see a change that will bring the episode closure. And for that to work, his problems need to come with pathos – we need to feel bad for him, essentially, so that we can root for him to improve. But I don't know about you guys, but my only real concern throughout the episode was over the frustration he was causing Fluttershy. Solving that doesn't require Zephyr to improve, he just has to leave.

The bit at the end where he talks about his fear of failure leading to self-sabotage was clearly an attempt to fix this issue, but it came too late. Had there been some hint as to the underlying problem – perhaps a flashback to his earlier failures, for example – along with some reflection of the underlying issue in his character, I think the episode would have worked really well. But since this failure anxiety isn't reflected in the character outside of that one scene, Zephyr never comes off as a flawed but well-meaning character whose improvement we can root for. He just looks like an asshole, and also completely undeserving of Fluttershy's help and patience.

Nothing on the new episode yet? Jesus, we really are dead around here.

Very well, allow me to start things off, then, since I've actually got something to say on it, for once.

First, a summary; Great episode, good song, excellent social commentary and a strangely high concentration of animation errors.

We've been provided with a nice bit of world-building in this episode, or more specifically, affirmation of previous world-building; Canterlotian society is deeply feudalistic, and not just at the top. The general populace act much like serfs, deferring to the judgement of their betters in the aristocracy. There's also a divide in the aristocracy itself; The old guard haute bourgeoisie like Zesty Gourmand see petite bourgeoisie newcomers like Rarity as upstart social climbers, though they begrudgingly recognize their contributions.

Then there's the scathing critique of critics in general; How they steer public opinion in often self-destructive directions. It keeps amazing me that this show for little girls keeps tackling issues it has absolutely zero right to and doing it in style.

Zesty obviously got her position by pedigree alone. She demonstrates not one whit of actual knowledge of food (at best, she makes the argument of the pretentious artist, that the plebeians are simply not sophisticated enough to understand her culinary genius), and seems to be more concerned with the presentation, since she actively refuses to even try anything she doesn't think looks like it might be up to her extremely vague standards. She's far more interested, it seems, in using her undeserved prestige to boss others around, turning all of Restaurant Row into slight variations on what she considers ideal, to the chagrin of the restaurant owners and consumers, who have no choice but to obey her for fear of social ostracization.

Tellingly, she throws a fit when an upstart merchant undermines her authority by showing the populace that there are alternative methods that produce arguably better results. Even when reminded she has the right to promote her own opinions, she doesn't concede defeat but does refuse to continue the discussion, suggesting even she doesn't sincerely believe in her own methods.

All in all, a very poignant portrayal of the divide between critic and consumer that seems to develop in any industry that's been around long enough. Movie critics came to mind as a real-life parallel, for example. Now this is how you do a kid's show right; Portray issues relevant to day-to-day life in a way that children understand.

Now, onto the less serious stuff.

I really liked the design of The Tasty Treat, but then, I'm a sucker for exotic styles, moody lighting and liberal use of flowing fabric. Still, one would be hard pressed to deny that the place looks positively cozy.

Pinkie sure knows how to be adorable.

As I said at the start, there were quite a few errors in the animation this time around. A lot of smaller ones like somewhat jerky movements here and there and some expressions that weren't quite congruent with the tone of voice, but also bigger ones like the ones below. Look at them extra limbs and anti-gravity stools!

There were quite a few ponifications of famous cooks, obviously. Even I recognized some of them right off the bat, and I don't even follow any of that stuff.

Between Rarity, Saffron Masala and many Canterlotian BG ponies from Canterlot Boutique making a comeback, this episode is just chock-full of pretty mares, isn't it?

It was a nice episode with an inspired song and a strong moral. I read that some people felt Rarity's characterization was off in that she acted in a way which contradicted the morals of "Simple Ways" and "Canterlot Boutique" (i.e. Be Unique/Yourself), but I thought it was justified considering that she has a tendency to go overboard in aiming to please, and that it also made sense in context since she did what she did for the benefit of others (she is that Element of Generosity, after all) and that this was a special situation in order to appease someone with incredibly strict expectations.

On another note, could you imagine what it would be like if every movie theatre only aired films that were approved by Armond White? That's what it must be like to eat on Restaurant Row after Zesty's influence

So that's it eh? The first half of season 6 is over….I mean they could've at least let us have episode 13 but….guess that would be too cool of them….also kind of makes no sense to take the show off the air for the summer considering it's an early morning show and I highly doubt all the kids are outside (If they ever go outside amirite current generation?) by the time My Little Pony is on but I digress.

Chose not to watch this episode again like Applejack's Day Off….except I chose not to watch this episode when it aired not because I was so disinterested in the idea of the plot but because I had prior engagements with friends I haven't seen in a few years and if My Little Pony Friendship is Magic taught me anything it's that friendship can save the world! So I'd rather hang out with friends and potentially save the world rather than decide to watch My Little Pony and have literally Satler (Satan and Hitler performed the fusion dance from Dragon Ball Z. Oh what an awful moment) come and set the world on fire.

So I watched the episode today and I was satisfied with the episode. It sure as hell wasn't something I'd air as the 'midseason finale' (god I fucking hate that My Little Pony is now joining the trend of 'midseasons') and have it be the last Pony episode for a good 3-4 months whereas Season 5 had a great episode to leave us off with. Really enjoyed this episode, I saw where it was coming from a mile away but the writers did their "take a cliche, played out storyline and make it interesting because ponies" technique they do with MOST of their cliche episodes. Liked just about everything about this episode especially dat song tho.

Judging the whole first half of the season though? Not too impressed. It's not like the first half of Season 5 where the few duds were drowned out by the quality of the GOOD episodes of that first half whereas with this season I feel like there were just a few too many duds for me to go "Well, but the good episodes make up for it!" because the good episodes of season 6 so far are pretty damn good but…..while the duds are….pretty damn duddy.

Season 6 so far Decent….hopefully the second half of it is kind of like the first half of season 5 and less like the second half of season 5. Ultra cynical Kewln00b away!

No new episode for a few months so i'll try to bring something to discuss here…

What's the definition of Ponification to you?
To me it's the same thing as Humanization or Inklingification but turning characters or people into ponies instead.

Why am i asking this?
Because our Ponify entry (can we change it's name to Ponification, please?) says that simple parodies and crossovers like the one below are also included…

but i (and Derpibooru) disagree with that.

This one is just a parody

Yes, i'm writing this because a few media moderators moved some Overwatch crossover images to that gallery and it just feels wrong. Nothing against them, they're following what the entry says.

@Ponification vs Parody

This is about as clear cut a divide as you could possibly get. I'm guessing the KYM entry's logic comes down to (erroneously) thinking there's so little material that there's no need to divide it, or alternatively, thinking that the non-bronies don't care enough to split hairs on it and just want to see what references we've come up with.

@Lexicanum

Not just you, nope. We've lost considerable steam over the last few years. I've been on this ride since the first few big surges during the winter of 2011, back when we spread out all over the place like a bunch of missionaries preaching the word, heh. Now that those wide-eyed idealists of yore have a bit of life experience under their belt, many have considerably mellowed out, some outright distancing themselves from their "embarrassing" phase. We've largely retreated into our little covens, away from the public eye.

This has led to some stagnation. With less external pressure being exerted by other groups (since we've largely fallen off the radar and all but the worst hostiles have figured out they can't dissuade us anyway) there's less to discuss, since we can only fall back on analysis of the show's various aspects, but that mine's nearing depletion. New content to analyze has slowed to a trickle as well, with all the hiatuses we get these days. Basically, we've settled into a routine, which makes even the most magical glamour lose some of it's luster.

But then, I might be wrong here, since I've not had time to follow the goings-on of the fandom for the last few years. Can any of you more attentive whippersnappers help an old codger, here? Am I just rambling like a senile invalid?

Well it's been 3000 years since I posted here. But all I can say is around that time nearly every day, every hour there was a post here. Now? Every second or third day. Many who I used to know to post here just went silent, some still comment but only on the main side, not on the forums. I thought it might be cause of the show is on hiatus but considering Steven Universe is quite active even in hiatus….. well yeah, MLP isn't that active it used to be, at least here on KYM.

@Last Few Episodes
Kinda sucked. The AJ one was very dull. It didn't help the "moral" was obvious halfway in and then still had to drag out the ending. 5/10.

The NEET one was just baffling to me. The guy has a cutie mark, which indicates he has a special talent, and it's never brought up throughout an episode devoting to this guy trying to find his place in life. It felt like they wanted to do a "get a job" episode and decided to throw out half the continuity of the show to do it. It's even worse considering "has a cutie mark and doesn't know what to do" is the CMC's new thing and, again, it's not even referenced. 6/10.

The restaurant one was also meh. The whole thing felt very rigid and by the book. Like they were going down a checklist of plot points to check off. Rarity and Pinkie also seemed off. Pinkie's the socialable, knowable one and attracting crowds fits nicely while Rarity doing fashion/design stuff makes sense. Suddenly being unable to fill the roles is just strange. You'd think Rarity would be all for them doing their own thing after the princess dress but I guess her memory's not what it used to be. 5.5/10.

@Season so far
Seems pretty standard so far. A few really good ones, a few okay ones, a few meh ones, and a few bad ones. I'm disappointed "Exploring Equestria" means "go to Manehatten half a dozen times" and really wish there'd be tighter continuity between episodes so it would feel like things are flowing and weaving together, but I've been wishing for that since S3.

@Spice Up Your Life (restaurant episode)
Canterlot is a high society unicorn city, it's all about social status to them, they are fancy sheeple. They only ate bad tasting food because an influential critic said they should, not following the herd would risk their reputation. They didn't cared about Pinkie's advertising because she's no one to them (well, she helped save equestria multiple times but they usually ignore that) but they followed Rarity when she did the same thing because she's a successful business owner with influence, just like they followed Fancy Pants in Sweet and Elite.

Also, Rarity must be rich to afford all that expensive bad tasting food

So, is it safe to say that we all agree that simple parodies and crossovers shouldn't be on that gallery?

Finally! I managed to read more MLP fanfics over the past couple of weeks! Here's the list of new stories I've read:

Language Barrier – Inspired by the events of S06E11. Dinky learns a new word ("peeved" is the word) and discusses with her friends about what it means.

"IT'S RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAW!!!" – Inspired by a scene from S06E12, Zesty Gourmand thinks that the food in the Tasty Treat is awful. Ponified Gordon Ramsay (who owns a restaurant called "Tartarus's Kitchen") thinks otherwise.

Incandesence – Sequel to Luminescence. Celestia wakes up from her slumber to raise the sun.

Are You a Bad Pony? – Sequel to Chocolate Talk, filly Twilight asks a question to her mentor Celestia about whether she's a bad pony based on her past.

"Thanks, Mom." – "Thanks, Mom." Two simple words said by a simple guard. Not so simple when those words are accidentally addressed to Princess Celestia.

I'm Your Villain – Starlight Glimmer is going to the Grand Galloping Gala with her friends, but has no one to date. Spike also doesn't have anyone to go out with, either. However, when both of them meet with each other, they decide to spend a wonderful time at the Gala together. A Sparlight shipfic.

Starlight's Failed Dramatic Entrance – Takes place during the season 5 finale. Starlight plots for revenge against Twilight Sparkle and tries to find her, but is completely lost in the castle.

I'm going to make another double post, since I can't fit all of the stuff into one post (curse you, character limit!). Hope you guys don't mind.

"The Moon in the Dark" is getting close to the end…. Here are the notes I took for chapters 49-52.

-Woona moves past the DT Extractor and to the West, but the path is too dark and foggy. So, she takes a north path to the east of the Extractor and finds a small room with a TV and tapes to watch. A note is also found, and it reads "under…sheets."
-Woona inserts the first tape, which shows a black screen with an audio about pregnant Toriel talking to her husband about their next baby. The second tape plays an audio where Chara scares Asriel by making a scary face in front of him. Woona asks how Chara looked like when he scared Asriel, so Chara proceeds to make the scary face by hiding his eyes under his hair and grinning widely and relaxing his muscles to make it seem as if his mouth was about to melt off. Woona screams on top of her lungs after looking at Chara.
-The third tape is about how Chara and Asriel tried to make a butterscotch pie for Asgore but used buttercups instead of cups of butter. Chara tearfully tells Woona to shut the TV off, since the tape contains information about how Chara died. So Woona does what Chara asks her to do and leaves the room while leaving the last two tapes unwatched.
-Woona encounters a room full of beds. All but two of the beds are neatly made. The southwest is completely unmade, while the easternmost bed had crumpled sheets. Using her puzzle-solving senses, Woona lifts the sheets on the easternmost bed and finds a yellow key.
-Woona goes to the bed in the southwest corner and tries to search it, but there is nothing to find. So, Woona decides to take a nap in it.
-When Woona does, an Amalgamate comes out from beneath the floor and puts the blankets up to cover Woona. Woona tenses up as she snuggles under the blankets while the Amalgamate slowly sinks beneath the floor to where it came from.

-Woona wakes up from her nap and heads to the slightly dark area with fans. She turns the switch that turns the fans on, which also summons up an Amalgamate. The Amalgamate turns out to be an Endogeny, a Monster made up of a bunch of dogs. Woona hugs, pets, and plays with Endogeny. The Monster is contented and leaves.
-Woona enters the room next to the one with the fans in it. A refrigerator unit morphs into an Amalgamate. Realizing that the Monster is Snowdrake's Mother, Woona tells the Monster that Snowdrake is going to be a comedian and tells the Monster that her family misses her. Snowdrake's Mother thanks Woona before sinking into the floor, leaving a blue key behind.
-Woona picks up the key and finds a green node and activates it. She goes to the video room with the yellow node and finds herself in a hall of mirrors and yellow flowers. Woona reads a panel that contains information about Alphys's entry.
-The entry says something about her trying to create something that's neither human nor Monster. The next entry states that the experiments on the vessels failed. Woona is displeased by this, but Chara seems to be growing angrier by the time Woona finishes reading the entry. Woona asks why he is angry, but Chara declines to answer.
-Woona is attacked by another Amalgamate. Chara tells Woona to pray, do something mysterious, and pick on the Monster. The Amalgamate identifies itself as a Reaper Bird, which is made up of a Final Froggit, a Whimsalot, and an Astigmatism. The Reaper Bird fades away after Woona does what Chara tells her to do.
-Woona activates the blue and final node in the True Lab. She tells Chara that as long as he is with her, she can do anything.

-Woona makes her way back to the power room where Alphys is waiting for her. She steps into the elevator, only to walk into another elevator. It turns out that it's actually a backup elevator, which needs power to operate.
-Alphys takes Woona to the power room, but it is blocked off by the Almalgamates. She uses her magic on the Amalgamates to try and stabilize the Amalgamates in their physical forms and separate them back into their original selves, but it doesn't work.
-The Amalgamates talk through Alphys' and Woona's cell phones, saying that they are no longer angry or afraid, and that they want to see their families again. Alphys sobs when the Monsters forgive her for her mistakes. The Amalgamates hug Alphys before one of them (Endogeny) activates the generator.
-Woona heads back to the elevator, but sees an entry written by Alphys about "the first golden flower that grew before the others" and what happens when something without a Soul gains the will to live.
-Enraged at what he saw, Chara manifests and rushes out of Woona's body towards Alphys with his knife drawn. He accuses Alphys of bringing Asriel back as Flowey and prepares to strike Alphys.
-Woona tries to pull Chara back, but his rage prevents her from doing so. So, Woona uses the shortcut to pull Chara back, but without enough magic to do so, both Chara and Woona fall into the fabric of reality.

-Woona falls through empty space and through a bunch of dandelions around her. Eventually, she manages to land safely on solid ground. Chara appears and asks why Woona stopped him. Woona answers that she didn't want Chara to kill Alphys and to become evil again. Chara looks at himself and shakes the shadowy aura formed from his rage away from him before apologizing to Woona.
-As both Chara and Woona ponder about their whereabouts, a FIGHT line appears, trapping Woona inside of it. Woona and Chara turn to see a figure covered in red cloak. The name of this humanoid girl is "Red".
-Woona tries to greet this new stranger, but Red attacks in response. She continues attacking while ignoring Woona's pleas, and even manages to cut the FIGHT area into several pieces (which surprises Chara).
-Chara leaps out at Red and parries her attacks while making puns about knives. Red is slightly confused by the way Chara is talking to her but continues attacking. Chara continues saying more knife puns, causing Red to shake.
-Chara tells Red about his tragic life and how he was leading himself into the path of darkness and destruction after witnessing the deaths of Asriel and the other humans who fell into the Underground. He then mentions about Woona taking Chara's soul and turning him good again. Red becomes overwhelmed with emotions as she falls to the ground and cries while Chara embraces her.
-After the fight is over, Woona sets up a picnic for the trio. While eating, Woona asks where they are. Red says that they are near the edge of the Underground, close to the edge of the Time-Space bubble created by the barrier. Red knows how to get out of where Woona and Chara are at, but she is not allowed to abandon her post unless the Captain gives her permission to.
-Woona calls Undyne, who furiously asks Woona where she is. Undyne evens mentions about how Alphys and Mettaton were trawling the void pits, Papyrus was making a really salty Regretti Spaghetti, and Sans was going to attempt a Void Dive to find Woona. Woona asks Undyne to release Red from her post to guide Woona and Chara out of the void. Undyne accepts Woona's request and gives Red a new post in the Core until Woona's mission is finished.
-Red guides Chara and sleepy Woona to New Home and to Chara's former room, where Red tucks Woona in Chara's bed for her to sleep. Red leaves the duo and says goodbye, with Chara watching Woona sleep happily.

Sorry to post nonsense here.

But since I keep horse art away from KYM, I was wondering how my newer work is (I do 3D, now)

Last edited Jun 21, 2016 at 04:25PM EDT

@Ponify

I think the distinction that Baluh is pointing to makes sense. I mean, even if we just glance at the Ponify page it defines the word as "a term used to describe people, fictional characters or objects who/which have been turned into a cartoon pony."

So if it's a thing that is normally not a pony which has become a pony, then it fits the meme. So this image would count, since it takes the character Mercy and turns her into a pony – specifically, it crosses her with Fluttershy. But this image would not work. Though it's also Fluttershy as Mercy, it's a humanized Fluttershy, rather than a Mercy that has been ponified. Thus, it should be in another gallery – either the main FiM gallery or perhaps a more specific one.

Does that distinction make sense? Is everyone on board with it? Because if so, I can start combing through the Ponify gallery and moving images around. But of course I'd like to hear if anyone has objections before I start doing anything.

@Platus
To be honest, i think even the pony Fluttershy one shouldn't be there because Mercy didn't became a pony (now this is a ponified Mercy), those are just an already existing pony character with a costume so it's closer to the definition of a Crossover image and that's exactly how both of them are tagged on Derpibooru.

" Crossover is fan work trope in which two or more discrete franchises, characters or universes are put into the same work". Looking at the Crossover gallery you'll usually see the "characters" kind of crossover, but these pony/overwatch images fit in the other types ("franchise" or "universe").

Gonna dust off the thread to say that pone will likely be returning on August 6th.

While I'm glad there'll be no actual fanfic stuff in the episode, it still sounds really cringy to me. I really hated Slice of Life because they wasted an intriguing idea with all the fandom crap and I'm worried it'll repeat the wasted opportunities. Also, it's another Manehattan episode. Remember back when we all really wanted to see Manehattan and have it explored? Be careful what you wish for…

Fall Weather Friends 2: The Reckoning sounds like it'll be okay.

Looks like I'll have to another double post in order to cover up the stories I've read and the updates for "The Moon in the Dark". I dunno if there are people reading my summary of the chapters, but I'm willing to finish what I've started, even if it takes many, many posts to do so.

Stories I've read:

Rescue- A knight sets out on an adventure to rescue a princess captured by a dragon. Except that the dragon is harmless, is small, and claims that she is not the one who kidnapped her.

Spike Can't Stop Making Puns – Spike the dragon is known for many things, but his wit is not one of them. He lives for the simple things like making ponies laugh, but for the love of Celestia! Can someone please shut him up?

The Changelings Start a Kickstarter For Their Show – The changelings start a Kickstarter for their show about changelings who learn about what it means to cooperate with each other. Twilight Sparkle thinks it is a scheme for the changelings to take over the world. The changelings try and convince Twilight that it is no scheme, but takes a lot of convincing to do so.

Princess Luna Inherits Canada – After deciding it best that Equestria lay claim over all of Earth and its inhabitants, Princess Celestia finds she now has a very special birthday present to offer to her sister.

Namely: Canada.

Chapter updates for "The Moon in the Dark":

-A mysterious black being strolls through the empty halls of an ancient citadel, its blue mane swirling in the air. The being looks determined and is focused on accomplishing its unknown mission.
-Meanwhile, Sans stands in the hallway, waiting for the small, mysterious, and dark figure to approach him. When the being is in front of him, Sans asks the being whether a person can change and become good once again. The dark figure says that based on what happened to her, she won't be able to change. Then, Sans asks if the figure wants to have a bad time. The figure steps forward as if she is issuing a challenge. Sans gets ready to battle the mysterious figure.
-"it's a beautiful night outside. the owl calls…the wind blows softly…this night you and i both love so much, i'll protect it from you, for all of them…if i have to drag you through hell to do it, woona!" The mysterious figure says that she is Nightmare Moon and gets ready for battle.
-Both Nightmare Moon and Sans trade attacks while dodging each other's attacks at the same time. Nightmare Moon reveals her stats to Sans: LV 20 HP 200/200 MP err ATK 5 DEF X MAG err
-Realizing that Sans' attacks won't do much, he summons up bones to surround Nightmare Moon and to block her path. Before he is able to use his Gaster Blaster to try and blast her HP to 0, Sans sees an image of his brother Papyrus in front of him. Sans is distracted and tries to respond to his brother's pleas, but Nightmare Moon appears out of nowhere to destroy Sans' attacks. Sans narrowly gets out of the way.
-When Sans is confused about what happened, Nightmare Moon explains that she has gathered all of the Souls of the monsters she has killed to power up her magic and is able to create illusions of the deceased Boss Monsters. Nightmare Moon taunts Sans by summoning various images of the Boss Monsters in the Underground and telling him that he's nothing but "a skeleton with one HP, the last spark of Hope made manifest."
-Sans desperately tells Nightmare Moon that everything she is seeing is not real. Then, he yells at Woona to wake up from whatever nightmare she is trapped in. Nightmare Moon attempts to continue fighting, but Woona takes control of Nightmare Moon and instead selects Mercy. Her options are to either spare Sans or to wake up. Woona chooses to wake up from the nightmare.
-Woona suddenly wakes up from the nightmare she was in and screams in terror. She cries while Chara embraces her. However, Woona is filled with Dread instead of Determination about what she will have to go through….

-Chara soothes Woona and tells her that everything was just a nightmare, but Woona is still sad and wonders whether the nightmare she recently had was similar to the nightmare when she destroyed Mt. Ebott and killed all of the ponies she knew at the same time. Unsure of whether the nightmare was real or not, Woona and Chara decide to visit Sans.
-Chara finds a box in his former room and finds a heart-shaped locket inside of it. Chara wears it and finds that it is able to stay onto his spectral body. He is briefly reminded of Asriel before he drops his worn dagger, saying that he doesn't need it anymore.
-Woona and Chara begin exploring the house while Chara reminisces about his time with Toriel's family. While spending his time Underground, Chara formed a plan, so that Asriel can absorb Chara's soul and that they can both cross the barrier and gather the six human souls to absorb the barrier in order to break it. However, his plan backfired when he saw the humans strike them down. Furious at the sight of the humans' actions, Chara wanted to strike back and kill everyone he saw, but Asriel held him back. Chara tried to reset so that everything will go back to normal, but Asriel died, causing body to turn to dust and causing Chara's soul to vanish. His Determination was the only thing that caused his spirit to linger in the physical world.
-Woona finds the key in the kitchen and uses it to unlock a path to the basement. While walking down a long path, Chara explains that he is able to remain in the physical realm and not slip in and out of the void by anchoring himself to his grave. The Monsters Woona meets express joy and freedom as they hope that Asgore can finally break the barrier for the sake of everyone Underground.
-Woona finds herself in the hall filled with golden light. She whimpers before Sans assures her that nothing evil's going to happen. Chara drags Woona across the hall so that she can ask Sans about the nightmare she had. Sans tells Woona that the nightmare timeline didn't happen in the past, but had a potential to be one.
-Sans tells Woona that when Woona absorbed Chara's spirit, she also absorbed the darkness from him. And now that the darkness is inside of Woona, if she ever gives into her rage or any negative emotions, she will turn into Nightmare Moon. Woona checks her stats and finds out that her LV went up to 2/2 (instead of 1/2), which confirms that the darkness is inside of Woona.
-Woona is briefly reminded of her first encounter with Flowey and is confused about the difference between LOVE and love. Sans explains that LOVE means Level Of ViolencE, which measures how much one can hurt someone. This is gained by gathering EXP, which stands for EXecution Points. Woona's low LV gives Woona negative defense, which prevents her from hurting others for fear that others may hurt her back. Both Chara and Sans assure her that she has never gained LOVE and that she is always loved by others.
-Sans taps into his true nature, where he takes Woona and Chara to a world filled with hearts spread out in the distance. Sans explains that this allows him to see the soul of every monster and the threads that connect them to others. The threads represent the love shared between others. Woona cries with joy as she realizes that she is loved by everyone she has met.
-Returning to the normal world, Sans wishes good luck on Woona's journey and leaves. Woona heads to the throne room where Asgore is watching the flowers.
-Chara and Asgore tearfully unite, but Woona decides to break the emotional moment briefly after by asking Asgore if she is able to see his "pi-dent" (it is too long to be a trident). Asgore decides to return the joke by stating that he prefers to have it be called a "pie-dent" and instead tells Woona that the name of his weapon is actually a "Battle Fork". Woona replies by saying that she'd hate to see his "Battle Salad".
-As the trio burst into laughter from the jokes they both shared, Woona's Dread is replaced with Determination, satisfied with the feeling that she is truly loved by others.

-Woona tells Asgore that she wants to use Asgore's "battle fork" to spank Asgore for being such a meanie to his wife. This way, he can apologize to Toriel so that they will be reunited. Asgore says that reuniting the family is much more complicated than the pony thinks. Woona insists that her plan will work when she does "right things for the right Monsters at the right time." Chara jokingly offers that Toriel should be the one doing the spanking.
-Chara changes the subject and tells Asgore that he feels that the former couple still loves each other. Although Toriel knows that Asgore had no choice but to take whatever actions he took in the past, she left her husband due to how much the consequences of his actions hurt her feelings. Woona comes up with a new solution; break the Barrier and bring Asriel and Chara back so that Toriel and Asgore can live together again.
-Asgore takes Chara and Woona to the Barrier, which is the safest area where it can be broken. When the barrier is broken, it will cause a magical backlash out into the open air instead of destroying the Underground if it is broken anywhere else.
-Woona prepares to destroy the Barrier by reaching into her Soulstone. However, they are watched by Flowey nearby….

Ack! No way! The updates do not fulfill the 10,000 character limit! Looks like I'll have to do a triple post instead!

-Using her Soulstone and her magic, Woona tries to break the barrier with her magic. However, the barrier's magical energy strikes back. The attack slowly drains her HP, but Woona fights back until her HP reaches 0.
-Woona blacks out, but her Determination stitches her soul back together. She realizes, however, that her max HP has reduced by one due to the magic flaring around her and her being unable to stitch her soul back together properly. Woona continues to fight back against the barrier in hopes of breaking it.
-Flowey watches helplessly from afar and feels emotion as Woona continues to fight against the barrier. Flowey appears in front of Woona and tells her that the barrier will win due to the barrier's immense power. When he tells the pony to reset, Chara tells Flowey that her last Save Point was the point before she tried to break the barrier. So, she is unable to break away from her magical attack unless the barrier breaks. Desperate, Flowey tells Woona that when she apologized and hugged him (in chapter 9), he cared for her for some unknown reason, and that he must not lose her, which is the reason why he initially told Woona to stop trying to break the barrier.
-Sans appears out of nowhere and tells Flowey that no magic or any being with a Soul can help Woona break out of her attack. However, he gives him a hint about what Flowey should do to help Woona. Flowey decides to call Asgore so that Flowey can absorb the six human souls.
-Flowey absorbs the souls and reaches out in his new form to stabilize Woona's Soul. The barrier's attack grows stronger, however,, and Flowey realizes that he needs more help. Sans, Asgore, and Toriel (who appears out of nowhere) offer help by using their memories and magic to help Woona and Flowey. A light blue human Soul is activated in the process. Flowey still realizes that this is not enough, so he sends out an Echo Flower to all Monsters in the Underground to help Woona break the barrier.
-Papyrus uses his magic formed from his memories to help Woona (green Soul is activated). Alphys, Mettaton, and the Amalgamates follow next (orange Soul). Undyne helps as well (yellow Soul). Muffet and the spiders help out (purple Soul).
-All Monsters in the Underground respond to Flowey's help and pour their memories and magic into Flowey. Flowey starts to grow until he starts to reach the surface and convert to a crystalline form. As the magic pour out to him, he has a choice: to reach the barrier and gaze upon the sun again by letting Woona die, or help Woona break the barrier and be trapped Underground forever. Flowey decides to help Woona and reaches into the barrier to find the source of the power.
-He finds seven dark green human Souls that had created the barrier. He tries to lash out at one of them, but the Souls fight back. Flowey cries for help, as he is unable to sustain Woona's Soul and battle against the human souls at the same time.
-Sans tells Flowey that he and six other Monsters will take care of the human souls themselves. The battle will determine the fate of the rest of the Monsters Underground.

Tatsurou, the author of the fanfic, said that the upcoming chapters will cover the Monsters' battles against the seven human Souls guarding the Barrier. I don't know what will happen next, but I hope there will a ton of feels, excitement, and emotion in the upcoming chapters.
