The reboot of ReBoot that you might never even have heard of. For good reasons.

If you were a kid back in the mid-90s or early 00's, there was a chance you might have known of a show called ReBoot. The show itself, was well known for being the first ever CGI-animated TV series. Of course, there was a decent fanbase even as the show ended. Then, on one mid-April day, I was browsing the internet until I discovered something that raised my eyebrow as high as it could. Watchmojo (yes, you can hate me later for using them as a source) published a top list on the ReBoot reboot, or call it ReBoot: The Guardian Code. So after some more looking up information, I found the trailer to the new series.

Then, I discovered the Code Lyoko fanbase discovered the trailer and began noticing similarities to their show and Guardian Code. They are pretty much right, seen the whole show looks barely anything like the original. And keep in mind, this was what the original ReBoot was.

Since Guardian Code has only released the first ten episodes and seeing how the negative reception, Guardian Code is getting, there is no news of more episodes. And seeing how the 10th episode literally insults its own fans.

No, seriously. Proof can be shown here
There seems to be a chance that no new episodes might come.

I watch the Zaibatsu so of course I know of Woolie's childhood getting shat on. No seriously, who else is tired of these unfaithful, insulting reboots that's nothing like the original and only has the name to bait in an audience?

At the very least, Megabyte's new voice actor sounds great, I hope Timothy E. Brummund gets better voice acting gigs after this.

I won't be surprised if he starts working in LA and succeeds the late Tony Jay's other voice roles.

As a young kid with a limited understanding of how computers worked, ReBoot was a blast to watch. Now that I'm older, it's fun to go back and be able to understand some of the references that were made in the show. Yeah, the show hasn't aged particularly well visually, but it also reinforces the idea of "this is what the virtual existence of a computer from that time would look like". Kinda like comparing the virtual environment of the original Tron vs Tron: Legacy.

Anyways, I've known about the ReBoot reboot for a while, and as soon as I heard the words "live action" I pretty much lost all interest, so I haven't watched a single episode and I have no plans to do so either.

On a side note: When my father and I went to see Fury Road, I literally said to him during the movie "Does this remind you of that ReBoot episode?" Only later did I find out about Brendan McCarthy working on both projects.
