So recently the internet was of course all abuzz about a recent episode of Arthur that revealed the character Mr. Ratburn is gay and is now married. However it looks like at present Alabama PBS stations are effectively banning the episode from airing in that state.

For the hell of it I feel the need the point out this sort of shit doesn't seem to be new for Alabama, back in the 1960s the episode of Star Trek that featured Kirk and Uhura kissing was almost banned from some "deep south" TV stations because of the kiss being interracial.

Given reports that Alabama is last when it comes to education in America, anyone else feeling like Alabama really is living up to the stereotype of being just a total hick state?

Alabama is becoming the new Florida, but instead of headlines that make you question reality, it just makes you embarrassed to share a continent with it…

Wait, either of those descriptors can be applied to either state… ALABAMA IS BECOMING FLORIDA 2, OH FUCK!
