Music you listen to to calm yourself

Yeah pretty much everyone gets stressed out, be it at big things or small things, but hey stuff like music is good for stress relief. What music do you listen to most to calm your nerves?

For me stuff from bands like HIM, The Birthday Massacre, and Jimmy Eat World usually help. They just always help put me in a calmer mood when stressed. Now if I'm feeling angry, then yeah you can probably guess that my "get the anger out" music is stuff by metal bands. Strapping Young Lad, Dir En Grey's heavier songs, Fleshgod Apocalypse and the like.

Learned this on guitar simply because I love it so much… I imagine just driving on a quiet road on a starry night with this playing… or maybe just a plain rainy day, in which case adding Rainymood in the background increases the effect…
Love this song regardless.

I usually listen to one of my favorite songs in gaming, that being the fantastic Aquatic Ambiance from Donkey Kong Country by David Wise. The Tropical Freeze remix Wise did really brings out the true beauty of the song with actual instruments and sound samples.

Anything from the Xenoblade soundtrack with my favorites being Agniratha Night, Colony 9 night, and Where the Ancestors Sleep.

Also a lot of Skyward Sword's soundtrack mainly Ancient Cistern and oh lordy the Lanayru Sand Sea theme. It's unreal I swear this song was made in heaven.

Then there's the Metroid Prime series which is loaded with ambient themes my favorites being Phendrana Drifts and this baby:

And finally the glorious track to top it all of is a theme that's basically the essence of dreams:

I'm sorry I usually don't dump videos in music posts but I just find it necessary now I just love calming themes I use them to go to sleep pretty regularly and since I primarily listen to vidya OSTs I happen to know a lot.

Anything dark synth helps me feel relaxed. And damn this song feels really good after 30 minutes of frustration

Edit: wow trying to embed or use textile on an iPad is literally impossible. Song was M.O.O.N. – Dust

IDM/Ambience is usually pretty good for me.

Song related: It's one of my personal favourite tracks, absolutely beautiful and super chill, I can actually listen to this regardless of what mood i'm in really. I can guarentee it being one of the best songs that starts with an "X" out there.
